Great experience!! I went during Dine LA, and the food was absolutely amazing! Beautiful restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating as well as a second floor indoors. The manager that day was Rukk who was fantastic.Only negatives were they charge an optional 6% health insurance surcharge, but you can request it get removed from your check. Also someone named Matt was a bit snippy with me over the phone.Overall, highly recommend this place!

FOODWe came for the DineLA menu and it was a great experience. We ordered a mix of the menu items. They bring it out as tapa style almost with the intention to share. My favorite was surprisingly the grilled salmon and also the broccolini. AMBIANCEThere's both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is darker with a more romantic vibe. Indoor is more pub-like. PARKINGStreet parking was relative easy to find on a Saturday evening at 5pm.Tip: they do reservations so make sure to utilize that. There was a large crowd waiting when we left at 8pm.

This was a much classier place than we expected - dress at least semi nice! We were wearing like sweats oops, lucky they still sat us (in the back). The food was incredible though, we had the charcuterie board, cheese plate, bread and butter, hanger steak, a short rib special, and fries with aioli. I would pass on the cheese plate and the bread and butter next time, they were very stinky cheeses - which is a beloved feature by some, but I'm not a huge stinky cheeses person, and the bread and butter was just... bread and butter. Very buttery, toasted bread - but still just bread and butter.Everything else was amazing though, the meats were all melt in your mouth tender, no knives needed. The charcuterie board comes with a generous amount of a delicious pate. The staff were all very attentive and helpful too!

When I found out that Steve Sando from Rancho Gordo Beans was hosting a combination book signing and dinner with dishes from his new book at A.O.C., I new we had to go. It was a fantastic night... Steve was gracious and giving with his time, and I was so happy to be able to get to talk to him. But the food, oh wow. We had a combination of classic dishes from the AOC menu and specials from The Bean Book. It's not easy to cook someone else's recipes on the fly, but the AOC kitchen came thru. For classic dishes, we started with the bacon wrapped dates, which could be cliche, but the AOC version is the best I've ever had, and with getting. We also had the Spanish fried chicken. Great although I'll admit it's not as special as some of the other dishes. And we had the "Romeo lettuce and stone fruit salad", which was light and balanced but still packed with flavor. For the specials, we had a Persian lamb stew with Domingo Rojos beans, and a Royal Corona bean and mushroom stew.Cocktails were light and refreshing, and for dessert I couldn't resist getting another peach dish, the cobbler. A great way to finish a great meal.

We stopped in for Happy Hour while shopping on Robertson. We were hungry, and intrigued by their small plates, we ordered:* Marinated Olives* Farmer's Plate* Spanish Chicken* Burrata Anchovy Flatbread * Plus, 3 cucumber gin drinks and 1 glass of white wine.Everything was excellent! The portions were larger than we expected, so we took home half of everything. (I'm enjoying the rest of the flatbread now as I write this). The food is very fresh, unique and homemade. The bar and restaurant appear to have been converted from an old historic-style house with Moroccan touches, which add to the charming old-world elegance of the place. All of the staff we encountered was very helpful, attentive and friendly. We aren't in this area very often, but we plan to visit again when we are. Loved it!

One of the best meals I've had this decade. Every dish was perfection. Ambiance really exceptional. I lived in LA for a long time and apparently this place has been around a long time. I'm regretting not finding it sooner.

My friend recommended this place and it was phenomenal. From the service to the vibes to the food and drinks, I'd definitely come back.AOC is French-American. Menu is simple and descriptive. We started with some cocktails and wine. I got the basil smash and what makes this cocktail stand out is the perfect level of sweetness--it's fruity without being too overpowering. And my second drink was the green goddess, also incredibly refreshing. Bacon-wrapped dates are a must have. We also got the grilled torpedo onion, cherry tomato, mahón, harissa & basil focaccia, this is like a very light and fluffy pizza. The star of the show for me was the Spanish fried chicken. The chili cumin butter pairs well with the crunch of the chicken. And you also cannot go wrong with the hanger steak- so juicy and the crispy edges made every bite perfection. I can't believe I just discovered this place. But I'll be back for sure.

Came here with a party of 5 on a Saturday night, and were seated at the bar for approx 20 min waiting for our table (we had reservations). I tried the pomegranate / lemon cocktail while I waited, which was really tart. We ultimately got seated and ordered a number of dishes to share. The focaccia bread was excellent. We also got the charcuterie board as well, which had a nice offering of delicious cheeses. We tried two salads (the apple one and spinach, much preferred the spinach one over the apple as the latter was very tart...) The short ribs were tender and juicy. Overall vibes hip/classy (but this is LA)- we did show up bundled in our jackets and looked like everyone else was the same too. The service was friendly. Overall, quality food and would recommend if you want a nice night out with friends/family.

Came back to AOC for the first time in a long time to celebrate my birthday. Lovely experience in a beautiful restaurant and still one of my fave places to eat in the city The bacon wrapped dates were very good but the portion is laughably small. The tiniest little dates I have ever seen on a plate sized for cats. Still delicious as I remembered though Grilled spring onion focaccia was great, so crispy but very much like a scallion pancakeClams, sherry, green garlic and toast were delicious. Soaked in lovely broth with crispy bread I didn't love the polenta - too mushroomy and chewy for me but the polenta itself was good. Tasted just like grits
