Cauliflower Pastor and Vegetable Fajitas. I ordered some mole sauce on the side. These were the only things were reliably vegetarian.
Eat inside or out. I imagine this is a magical outdoor space at night with City Walk vibing all around you.

We came here for Valentine's Day dinner. It wasn't busy at all since we went in rather early. We ordered the chicken nachos. First look, nacho cheese and black beans, squirt of tub made guac and barely any chicken (which is way extra). Nachos weren't even warm, they feel like they had been sitting on a food warmer for a while. Since we were in a hurry and hungry we just nibbled. They needed salsa which I had to ask for. Had to ask for basics like napkins, salt n pepper. We also each ordered the chicken tortilla soup. This was a paste, not a soup. Covered up with so many strips of tortilla chips, it was really gross. No flavor, very thick and cheese was so thick and stringy it was just all around a hot mess of a so called soup. Our waitress hung out more at the hostess desk rather than waiting on tables. I asked to take my drink with me and she brought a to-go cup, but left me with about a 1/4 of my cup full. I had to track her down to get a refill, something a customer shouldn't have to ask for it should be a given. As we were leaving there was a man who said goodbye and appeared he was a manager of sorts so I asked what type of Mexican food they were serving, where it originated from. He said it used to be a lot more authentic, but that they had to change it to accommodate tourists. Then proceeded to mention it must be ok because they are making 6m a year. That's insane because food is very crappy. Service from our first experience was not great, and the place wasn't even busy on one of the busiest night of the year! I wouldn't recommend this place for Mexican food. I can't speak for any drinks, but they are pricey from what I could tell and looked small. Most of staff just appeared to be standing around and doing the least, not friendly at all. This place used to be so good back in the day. Sad to see it had turned into such a tasteless mess. We couldn't even order an entree because everything was just horrible with apps. You have to pay for chips and salsa. Hence the 6m in revenue!

Stopped by for lunch while visiting Universal Studios Hollywood. Ordered the quesabirria tacos and rojas enchiladas. Both dishes were very good and flavorful. Service was great. Our server was super friendly and attentive. We got to sit in one of the "birdcage" table which was pretty cool. Really like all the decor and vibe from this restaurant. It has now become one of our favorite restaurants to dine at Universal Citywalk. Good food, great service, and nice atmosphere. Can't beat that!

We so enjoy City Walk that we decided to go back on a cold and windy afternoon this weekend. After the shock (again) of the $35 parking fee, we found a space very close to the escalator and were on the concourse in minutes.Looking at the many possible places to chose from (and there are some big and yet unusual eating spots, like Bubba Gump and the Chocolate Emporium) we settled on Antojitos -- I had been considering it for awhile. Let's start with the good: it's clean, beautifully decorated, creates a fiesta atmosphere with little thoughtful touches and folkloric elements everywhere you look, it's big, there are many places to sit, and the food is actually very good quality. It smelled good inside, fresh and foody -- that was good.Being vegetarians, much less vegans, limits what one can have. One thing we discovered is that all the rice, all of it, has chicken broth. Why? I have a suggestion for the owners: serve ALL the rice withOUT chicken or any other kind of animal fluids in it. Believe me when I tell them, there is delicious award-winning rice all over the world that does not have animals in it. Think about it, por favor. The service was great. The receptionist was a bit chilly but our server, Virginia, was very efficient, helpful, friendly, and concerned about us having everything we needed and that we were enjoying the experience. We did for the most part. Here is something a bit strange: we were given no spoons. Every dish we had could have used a spoon and some required it. We had already asked Virginia for other things so we thought we would just go to the bar and quickly get ONE spoon. Nope! They had to request one (and only one) be brought to us from somewhere else. what the ... ??Also, the napkins -- they generously gave us four each, black soft paper napkins that went with the vibe. However, don't dare use them on your clothes should you drop something on them, why? They left a black smudge wherever the napkins were used. I still don't know if we can get it out of the fabric. The portions are good; the flavorings are inventive and tasty; the tables are comfortable. However, the place is all hard surfaces and very echoic -- we had to shout to hear over the clatter.Virginia brought us containers for leftovers, including some for the sauces we ordered, and a crisp, clean, roomy shopping bag. Nice. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience. I think it could use some tweaks (spoons -- be generous with them), truly vegetarian options with no hidden animals in the ones that seem vegetarian, some sound attenuation maybe on the ceilings (they could hang colorful absorptive baffles, for example), napkins that don't shed dye on customer's clothing (!!), and maybe validate some of the parking? Like, a few dollars off or something?Just a thought ... curious to see what you all think.

Came here after a fun day at universal. We were seated right away. Our waitress was SOOOOO amazing. She was really attentive and really knowledgeable with the menu.I ordered the horchata cocktail which had bourbon in it. It was the most perfect drink ever! Not too sweet and had the holiday feels.I also ordered the taco salad as my entree. It was solid... But nothing crazy to rave about. We also decided to share the soup... but that did not taste good at all. We ended up sending it back and they were kind enough to comp it. Overall, a solid dining experience, especially their cocktails!

Good Mexican food on universal city walk! shockingly surprised because quite frankly i was not expecting it. our server Karen was great so attentive and friendly. We arrived before the chaos lolI will say this, they have AMAZING drinks i was hooked on their Tamarindo margarita! its was perfect! i had 2! food was delicious. taste was spot on and it felt tasted like it was home made. the cook is doing something right back there. we had their enchiladas rojas and the burrito the carnitas. they were the recommendations from the menu and they did not disappoint. bare is located at the entrance to the restaurant to the right side and it does a full circle. their decor is modern and lively. didn't really get to tour the place that much because we left shortly after our meal. can def. see myself coming back when in the area.

SoemAmazing food and friendly service. I had the carnitas which melted in my mouth. My son had cauliflower pastor tacos, he couldn't tell it wasn't meat. Chips and salsa were amazing, but you do pay for them. Also, sometimes it take a bit for a host to greet you, so have patience.

I love popping in here anytime I go to city walk, whether it's before a movie or if I need a break from the park, this is a good place to get a cocktail with friends and some really tasty tacos. I sit exclusively at the bar because I'm a solo adventurer, and each and EVERY bartender is always so attentive and kind, even on their busiest of nights. Pro Tip: their Queso Birria Tacos are fire!

The service was fantastic! Servers were super sweet. But the food was questionable. I had high hopes because the jamaica and salsa was super amazing. The food I saw from other tables looks great too! I ordered birria tacos and I think it has potential, but the tortillas need to be grilled on a stove before putting the meat in. Overall 3/5 because the energy wasn't overwhelming and the servers were great.
