Always authentic... Always great.Complimentary small Antipasto (it may be some marinated beans and peas) with a basket of rosemary pane and cracker-crisp Sardinian flat bread are served.Favorites: Antipasti of Grilled Calamari with arugula, fennel, and pomegranate seeds or the Polipo of warm mediterranean octopus, arugula, and cherry tomatoesPaste: Tagliolini Limone or Lasagna Verde 'Nonna Elvira'... if they list a Carbonara pasta get it, theirs is authentically Roman using guanciale.Entrees: Dover Sole or the Grilled Prime Rib Eye with arugula and shaved parmigiano reggiano.Friendly efficient professional service.I prefer the tables in the interior space: lively but cramped... or if it is a warm night: the adjacent courtyard... they also have seating al fresco on the sidewalk along busy Beverly Blvd.In a city of great Italian restaurants... this one is one of the best.

I'd been wanting to come to Angelini for a bit. Everyone talks about how good it is so I popped on over before an art outing nearby. It was early so I opted for their Osteria salad that I'd been told about. The combination of pistachios, Parmigiano Regiano and cannellini beans is so perfect I doubt there was much dressing on it because it was not needed. It was great. They have gf pasta which I will order next time although the salad was on the small side, and I should've ordered more food. Service was a bit rigid but very professional. Ambiance was regular lunch place. On a sunny day sitting outside feels like the quintessential California thing to do. That, and drive away in your convertible with a scarf around your neck. I'll bring my scarf next time. ;)

I'm sure the place is great but during valentines it was a terrible experience, also being said our first experience here and probably last. I decided to take my girlfriend here for Valentine's Day since she is a vegetarian and this location seemed to accommodate well with that but it was such a bad experience. First of all, everyone inside the restaurant were crammed in and it definitely seemed like they booked more tables than they had the will power to handle. Our waitress gave us a terrible experience, firstly, she gave us attitude for trying to change our wine pairings because she didn't bother to explain how it worked and just ran off. My girlfriend literally had to push for her to change the wine pairing. After that we ordered our food and our reservation was for 7:30 and I kid you not we did not even get our first order until 9:30-9:45. Luckily we sat next to some lovely people who knew the owner personally and probably if it weren't for them we would've left. Our waitress was quite rude. When we were first seated, the elderly couple next to us was asking her a question and she seemed visibly annoyed, told him to wait and then muttered "oh my god" at my girlfriend and rolled her eyes. Then during that whole time she did not check in with us once and people who arrived later than us received all their food and left before us! The couple next to us had their food arrive late as well and the waitress had the audacity to apologize to them, give a sob story, and the gentleman sitting next to us literally said, "well I feel bad for the couple next to us, it's their first time and their food haven't even arrived". It was probably our worst dining experience and it was so frustrating since this was suppose to be a lovely Valentine's Day experience. The waitress by the end of the night eventually came and said they over booked, tried to apologize (probably to just get a tip) and it just made it seem like it was the restaurants fault when in reality, she didn't even have the decency to check in on us until everyone started to complain. The funniest part was she tried to say she would comp us for the trouble and I kid you not her idea of that was to take out one glass of wine from our bill lmao. I was robbed and we had a terrible experience, the food even arrived bland and lukewarm. Horrible experience and never again.

Everything here was so delicious and felt very authentic~ The Tonnarelli allo Scoglio is a seafood pasta with lobsters, a light spicy tomato sauce, and thick pasta noodled - it tasted like so much like chinese Long Xia Yi Mian Seafood pastas has been my recent fave type of pastas and this was soo good The Creme brulee was an amazing end to our meal--made with Black Truffles and topped with a thick crust of caramelised sugar

2 words: Mangia Mangia!! Make sure to skip breakfast and lunch, because you're gonna wanna order at least 4-5 dishes. The Tagliolini Al Limone & Uni pasta are an absolute must. You will die happy. Huge shoutout to PALLO, treated us like royalty and was an amazing server. Thank you! The staff and service was exceptional from start to finish. They even let us take our time as they were closing. Pro-tip: Make reservations in advance. Plenty of street parking or vallet. Both indoor & outdoor options.

One and done. Never again will I come here nor do I recommend this place to anyone for any special occasion after my experience. After searching for a place to take my girlfriend, I decided this was the spot. They had a preset Valentine's Day menu and thought a new place would be fun but oh man was I wrong along with most of the people in the dining room that I was in. Not sure if they didn't have enough cooks or took on way too many reservations they couldnt accommodate or what. Reservations were at 7:30pm and we got sat around 7:55pm. We finally left at 9:45pm. It was a simple 3 course menu that you ordered all at once. The time waiting in between was a killer and ruined the vibes completely. I wanted to leave after the first course which was a lemon pasta dish that was dry and under the heat lamp for far too long before it was dropped in front of me. Good flavor but the noodles were hard and dried out. The people next to us asked twice for their main course. They got it and wasn't impressed, packed it up along with their dessert and left asap. One table behind me sat before us and got their first entree immediately while we were still waiting for ours for at least another 20-30 minutes. We ended up getting our 1st course, main course, dessert and left before the table behind us ended up getting their main course. You'll see in photos of them turning around the whole time wondering what was happening. The waiter barely checked on any of the tables because he was running around trying to get food to tables. 1st course- dried noodles from being left under the heat lamp for too long, good flavor but the noodles were hard so this dish wasn't pleasant for me. Ravioli wasn't event warm at this point. 2nd course - took about an hour to finally receive. Both entrees were room temp and not even hot.Dessert - tbh after such a bad experience I didn't even care for the dessert. I had the waiter give me the check as soon as dessert was dropped and got out of here asap. Also Valet is $10 and they don't have a heater. If is cold outside, just be ready to shiver waiting for your car after your overpriced meal. Wait till you see how much I spent at this place. This place straight up robbed me for mediocre service and food. $335 after tip. Never again.

Had a lovely dinner at Angelini, ambiance is cute & intimate. Set up in a hallway between buildings is their outdoor seating & felt very European. Service was great and food was delicious. I see why it's Michelin worthy. Will definitely be back. Cheers!

Bottom: Unbelievably expensive (some would say unjustifiably), Angelini is the creme of the crop when it comes to fine italian food. taking into account the totality of the score, price definitely is a factor. How could it not?I ordered 3 pasta dishes:1) Lasagna Verde classic meat lasagna, spinach pasta, beef ragu2) The Tagliolini Al Limone : house-made taglioni pasta, lemon, cream, parmigiano reggiano3) The truffle pasta "norcina". housemade spaghetti chitarra alla norcina, winter black truffle from norcia italy, sausage, parmigiano reggianoall dishes came a la carte. No bread. No nothing.Everything was solidThe Truffle pasta was way too rich for my taste though. It's super strong with the fungi. And at 65 dollars I'd skip it. Homemade pasta from scratch is amazing thoughThe Tagliolini Al Limone: is a must orderer. The combination of the creamy zest of lemon with the fresh pasta is mind-blowing out of this world. Who would have guest that a ever so subtle citrus flavor can be pasta bliss. The Verde Lasagna was fantastic. but small portion. At $30, it's a tall, but also small order. The spinach garnish was extremely dry. I was expecting it to be wet and fresh. It was almost hydrogenated flakes.Would I come back? Sure. Just not on my dime!

I wanted to try a different Italian restaurant for lunch and stumbled upon this restaurant. The service and the food were great. I ordered the branzino with spinach, Caesar salad, and tiramisu. The fish was tender but a little overcooked. My mom ordered the chicken and potatoes and she said it was delicious. My friend ordered the lobster salad and he loved it. The complimentary bread and sausage were tasty. The place is small with basic traditional Italian-style decor. They have a small section for outdoor seating and valet parking. I will try the dinner menu when I return next time. A respectable amount of traditional authentic entrees and appetizers on the menu. Great place to dine for lunch.

As an Italian-American living in LA for over a decade (and as someone who used to live on Mulberry Street in NY and spent a lot of time in Italy), I can honestly say Angelini is always my number one Italian restaurant go-to in the area. There isn't one stand out dish for me because EVERYTHING on this menu is seriously incredible. Whenever I treat myself to Angelini (because yes it can get pricey, but so can all fine Italian restaurants in this city), my favorites include: the salt-crusted branzino, the sea urchin pasta, the bolognese, the bone marrow with pasta, the chicken parm, the salmon, the spicy broccoli, the lasagna, all their pizzas and the arugula salad -- just to name a few. Everything here is exceptional. You can byob for a corkage fee or they have a great wine selection. The service is always excellent. Lookout for Gino, who is the hands-on chef/owner -- he's very friendly and always gives a smile or quick hello if he can. The ambiance is warm and elegant, but not pretentious -- an upscale Italian restaurant/homey vibe. Hands down, my favorite Italian in LA!
