I had the BEST experience here thank you to the amazing staff. Unsure how we were able to make reservations at 3:30, but they close during this time between lunch and dinner. When we arrived, it was closed but as we were walking away the kindest man came out and told us he wouldn't let us come all this way just to leave so he said the chef would be more than happy to serve us. That truly was the kindest thing and everything from then on was just perfect. We ordered:-hanger steak ($24): a bit tough, but flavor was great -Santa Barbara sea urchin linguine ($42): my favorite dish so creamy and delicious -polipo octopus ($28): amaaaaazing and so much octopus -tiramisu ($14) perfect end to the meal The service and the food quickly made this restaurant one of my top Italian restaurants in LA. As we were paying, I accidentally knocked over the Chardonnay glass on the table and it shattered right next to me. Our waiter was so sweet about it, and told me it's good luck for both of us for the new year.Just the kindest people and amazing food. Highly recommend!!!

I have been craving pa-shoot (Brooklyn accent) for the past month. I'm so glad I decided to satisfy that craving here. The staff was welcoming and lovely. I was fortunate enough to have a server named Arion meaning "moon creature on high." If you meet him you will understand how fitting that name is. Positive vibrations yeah! Positive!I usually don't like doing sidewalk seating but this place makes the sidewalk kinda grotto-like.When I ordered the cappuccino to go from here some time back I found it a little diluted but the one I had today was perfection. And omg that prosciutto burrata arugula balsamic sandwich! Yesssssssss...

Amazing pistachio gelato topped with chopped pistachios and honeycomb candy! The gelato was so delicious, not too sweet, and the perfect consistency. The chopped pistachios added a nice crunch and the honeycomb was definitely a nice addition. The portion size was also generous! It was a perfect treat to enjoy on a warm spring day.

Angelini Alimentari is honestly a breath of fresh air. We last minute yelped a spot to eat in the neighborhood we were in and boy are we glad that we did! It is a cute little cafe and very very Italian. The food itself is delicious! The chopped salad was bomb, the prosciutto toast was delicious, and the pasta was very simple yet still amazing. The best was the porchetta! Maybe you only care about dessert. Well, I am happy to say that the gelato was also great! Very velvety and caramel-y. Not super sweet which is a plus in my book. The people at angelina alimentari are amazingly nice. They have a few high chairs and the back area is very kid friendly.

This review is for the gelato and pastries and I have one thing to say... Ahmazing! The gelato was creamy and rich. We tried three different flavors: hazelnut, mixed berry, and mint chocolate chip. They were all so delicious that it's hard to name a favorite but I am ruling hazelnut the winner. The pastries were also delicious. Perfect sizes too. They were rich so too much could send you straight into a food coma with little chance of making a comeback. I also want to note how wonderful the employees were. I walked in with two kids and they were beyond nice to the kiddos. Loaded us all up on so many samples and they did it with huge smiles on their faces and even asked us what we though. Based on the quality of both food and service I am definitely coming back soon to try the breakfast and brunch plates. I imagine that they must be amazing.Oh and it's street parking so have change for the meter!

What better way to spend Independence Day than by having Italian food. Next door happens to be one of my favorite places in the city. Luckily, their cafe counterpart was open despite the holiday. We rolled up for late lunch (around 2). Not surprisingly, there was a pretty nice crowd there. Like we normally do, we ordered a few things to share. Our picks:Drink - Cold brew - if you plan on staying up for a few hours I highly recommend this drink. I forgot I had to work the next day so it didn't work out for me. That drink had me up until 2am. Food -Beets and Arugula salad - loved it. I would have preferred for the beets to not be over cooked. Aside from that everything was delicious. Porchetta sandwich- hands down my favorite out of all our picks. Holy moly. Every bite was heavenly. I specially loved the crispy skin. That's my jam. The best part is you wouldn't at all expect how good it was going to be based on how it looked. Prosciutto and Gorgonzola toast- mentioned last because it was the least appetizing. I only had two bites. Not sure if they're made exactly the same every time, but I would suggest toning down the marmalade. It was entirely too sweet. I also noticed it wasn't evenly spread so one bite was sweeter than the other. I took one star away for that and because service was iffy. I get that no one wants to work during a holiday, but literally every single person working - 2 women and one guy (not including kitchen staff) had a sourpuss. Not one person could be bothered to smile. They obviously didn't want to be there. At least fake it. The place was only open for a few hours anyway. A man with his kid (tourists) walked in and the first thing the woman said to him was "we're closed" WHILE PATRONS WERE STILL EATING AT THE TERRACE. It turns out they only wanted ice cream which they ended up buying. We ended up getting dessert elsewhere.

Stopped in for a gelato and was so presently surprised at how easy it was to order, how delicious the gelato was, and how friendly the guy was who took my order at the counter. I guess there should be no surprise given Angelini Osteria is a top notch restaurant where I have had a great experience every time I've dined there. I'll definitely be returning for a scoop of gelato when I'm passing through the neighborhood again.

My friends live by here and wanted to stop by for a quick lunch. When you walk in, you get this cafe/diner feel to it but with a more modern and welcoming look to it. I love the open kitchen where you can see them prepping the food.I tried the Chicken Battuta Panino and it was prepared really well. The chicken breast was moist, the avocado gave it a nice creamy texture, the crispiness from the bacon gave it a nice texture without overpowering it, and the ciabatta was light enough to hold it together. I tried some of my other friends' food and it had the same style to it. We liked this place so much that we can back the next day to try some more of their food. I tried the Hanger Steak Piadina and it also did not disappoint. The steak was cooked to a nice medium, it broke apart on every bite, not leaving pieces meatless areas in the panino and the simple flavors of the argula and cherry tomatoes were complementing. The food didn't taste heavy and was very well prepared. The staff is all super friendly and they even remembered us from the previous day. The food did not take long to come out either. Seating is limited here with maybe 10 seats inside, a front and rear patio. This place is fairly new, so I can only see it getting busier as it gains popularity. i'll be back here for more when I come visit my friends.
