I came across this spot, while searching for a breakfast spot when my friend was visiting. I wanted to try out a new place! I had never seen this restaurant while driving on Lankershim, so was interested to check it out. There is a small parking lot in the back, as well as metered parking. It is definitely a diner style restaurant, and while there is indoor and outdoor seating, it gets busy fast! I really wanted to try out their waffles (they have a TON of yummy options) but I personally went for a salad. Their grilled shrimp salad was very good. It was fresh and they gave a ton of avocado. This spot is best for two or three people, as the inside is a but on the smaller size. But I would definitely recommend checking it out!

The service was exceptional--Christian was attentive, kind, and welcoming. The food arrived quickly, and overall, the service was efficient and pleasant. However, the restaurant itself felt simple and unremarkable, and the 30+ minute wait for a table was a downside. * Buttermilk Chicken & Waffles: The chicken was tender, juicy, and crispy, but lacked depth in flavor. The waffles were fluffy and well-made, but the maple syrup was disappointing--it had a stringy texture and tasted overly processed, artificial, and sugary. * Veggie Omelette with Feta & Home Fries: A solid dish--fresh, well-prepared, and the house salsa added a great spicy kick.Ambiance - not much to say about it. I had been meaning to try this spot for a while, and while I'm glad I finally did, I likely wouldn't return.Verdict: Great service, decent food, but not memorable enough to revisit.

A solid spot for brunch! I would rate it a generally above average for a chicken and waffles focused brunch spot with solid coffee with one huge caveat that I have noticed in general around the Toluca Lake/San Fernando Valley neighborhood - Chicken and Waffles is the breast fillet only! I was super sad to get fried breast fillets when I saw others get a platter of fried chicken wings with leg meat on it too. It is a separate option here and it was labeled Wings and Waffles.I won't fault the place too hard for that as this happens at other brunch places with chicken and waffles in the area, and I should have read the menu more thoroughly but this is just a fair warning to people like myself who are used to getting half a chicken (thighs, legs, wings, and a breast) for an order of chicken and waffles.

I thought this place was alright. It's nothing special. Perhaps because we have tasted melted butter (very few restaurants make their butter this way) and hot syrup on our waffles . Also, the place was somewhat smaller than I'd imagined. On top of that, finding parking here can be a little bit of a hassle when the place gets crowded. However, the customer service was great, food was served pretty quickly and the waiters were friendly .The food:- Waffles & Cajun Wings (6/10):The waffles we got were too crispy (some people probably prefer this). We love our waffles to be a little chewy. What really disappointed me was their chicken wings. These were very salty and the meat was dry.- Waffle Combo (1/2 waffle) (7/10):The eggs and the bacon for this dish saved it. They were delicious and the eggs were a little wet (which improved the taste ). I didn't like their sausage because, again, they were too salty for our liking. Finally, the pricing was a bit more expensive than I had expected. For the same type of dish, we were paying $3 less for each dish in our favorite brunch place in West LA.Overall, if you live close by, you can try it out, perhaps you will end up enjoying it more than I did since everyone's taste-buds are different. However, if you have to drive for more than 30 minutes just to get there, you are better off going somewhere else for your waffles needs .

I have too wonderful things to say about this place. Huge portions, great atmosphere, friendly service and of course delicious food. Food always comes out super fast and I appreciate how attentive the waiters are. Make sure to grab one of their famous iced coffees, and grab one for me to go please!!

I had breakfast here and it wasn't bad. I had Texas Style chicken and waffles. The chicken was okay. I really enjoyed the waffles because they had a slight crisp to it which I wasn't expecting. It just so happened right after I placed my order there was an abundance of to-go orders in a short amount of time that the kitchen was a little bit in a back log. It didn't hinder my experience, but I appreciated how the waiter handled it.

Theres a parking lot but its small. We just looked for metered street parking. Inside is a bit small so plan on getting here when its not too crowded. Menu is pricey for the type of food. I ordered the chicken waffle sandwich. It consists of Cajun prepared chicken and it was really good! Interestingly, the waffle was really fluffy. At first glance it seems like it might be soggy but it made a big difference for the sandwich. It was perfect! I don't think many spots can get away with that but trust me, the chicken waffle sandwich! It did have some "accidental" strawberry on it. I think thats because we also ordered a second dish of waffles with strawberries. Our server seemed nice enough, but a bit too relaxed. Would've been nice to have our water refilled even once. She did offer us water to go. A little odd but I did appreciate the gesture.

This is an absolutely must try location. The food is always amazing and the service is attentive , friendly, and prompt. The Cajun fried chicken and waffles are a perfect combination of savory and sweet. The ambience is fun and they have closed caption tv with sports so you can keep up with your favorite team. Great job #&Waffles Looking forward to our next visit.

First time at & Waffles as it was recommended by a friend. Easy to find the eatery as it's right on the corner. They have their own parking lot and they also have street metered parking available. Street parking by residential area is permit only parking. As soon as we came in, the young lady greeted us and sat us down. They didn't take long to take our orders and our food was delivered to our table in 10 minutes. I asked for new utensils as the ones wrapped and sealed in the napkin has food residue. The young man came back several minutes later to give me freshly wrapped utensils with non food residue. The chicken and waffle was good and had a little bit of cajun taste to it. Waffles were freshly made. They were fluffy and hot. The strawberries might have been organic as they were sour. Perfect balance to the whip creme and waffles. We were looking for good coffee and we didn't find much of a selection for coffee, latte or espresso drinks here.We hope to come back and try other breakfast items on the menu and hopefully good coffee drinks too.

Hidden gem! Small restaurant inside with outside seating. We were greeted and sat down right away staff was very friendly. We got the Baja omelette with side waffle, fruity pebble waffle with Texas style fried chicken. Super fluffy waffle! Only thing it needed was just a tad bit more of the syrup it comes with. Definitely worth coming here for brunch on the weekends.
