If you are anywhere in Los Angeles or on a vacation this is a must stop and a hidden gem in West Hollywood. You will have the best Italian food in all of Hollywood and maybe the City. There is not one thing wrong with this place. It is perfect. You will be in heaven. You will be calm and relaxed while served by the best staff and the owner is cute as a button, and Italian. It was concert night for Buddy, my grandson, and I and we were in search of a new fine dining restaurant. We were driving down Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood and Buddy sees this little tiny Brown building and says let's look. He sure knows how to pick them. Turns out to be an Italian restaurant with everything made from scratch, no preservatives, no sugar, just amazing food. They even make their own bread. We walked in, parking is on the street and they might have valet at night, I don't know. We were the first ones there. They were not even open yet, but we did not know and we walked in. The sweetest, most adorable young man asked us where we would like to sit. The place is so pretty, but small. We told him to put us where ever he wanted. We were starting to realize the place was just about to open. The waiter took us upstairs to the most wonderful table near a window. He asked what we might want to drink and gave us menus. Their menu is not huge. Again, they make everything from scratch. We were brought warm Italian bread and it was so great. I asked about it and they make it right there as they do everything. It was amazing. For entrees we had ravioli and a wonderful pasta filled with shrimp, clams and mussels in a red sauce. It was so great, my grandson was "sharing" my food. Again, all made there, to order, by scratch. For dessert we had the best Tiramisu I have ever had in my life.As the place began to fill I could see wonderful dishes going by. The waiter was kind to my grandson and gave us all the time we wanted. It was just a wow experience and I have been to most of the Italian places in Hollywood. I can't wait to bring my husband. He is going to love it.On the way down the stairs an adorable man took my check and card. It turned out he is the owner. He is Italian and all of these receipts are his. I think he might have "borrowed" a little from his grandmother and mother and added some of his own. I could tell he loved his little fine dinning place. He was so sweet--photo attached. You must go there. You just must.

I loved Amarone when it was up on Sunset and their move took me to the East(er) side of town. The cozy spot features the same delicious food and wine selection as the original. Went here for a first date - and it didn't disappoint. Bellisima!

Love this place, and highly recommend! Authentic, delicious Italian food in a sophisticated setting that is also family friendly. This has been a favorite of ours for years. Try the swordfish carpaccio and any pasta, on any day - absolutely delicious, and served by people who understand hospitality. 5 stars.

My husband and I just had the most wonderful evening here tonight. The staff, Marco & Aurora, were both so welcoming & attentive. Everything from the pasta to desserts are made in house. Our meals (branzino & tagliatelle ai funghi were both amazing) There is also an outside patio that welcomes dogs. It hasn't been open very long so this was our first time there. We will definitely return.https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g33252-d1015611-r890940437-Amarone_Kitchen_Wine-West_Hollywood_California.html#

Tucked away behind a modest storefront in the heart of the Sunset Strip, Amarone has been a fixture for many years. There is a small dining room in the front , and larger one upstairs, but on warm summer evenings (or during COVID) you need to be in the back patio, down two flights of rickety stairs. You will be greeted by Sandro, the owner/manager, who seems to control every aspect of your experience. After your first course, if you close your eyes, you might place yourself on the patio of as osteria in Emilia-Romagna or Toscana, letting the warm breezes waft over you, pretending that the large apartment building to your south is an illuminated 14 c church...But back to the restaurant, the food is the standout here. The dishes are classic pan-Italian drawing from the cuisines of many regions, but all are high quality and clearly prepared with care and love. From the salad with a few slices of genuine parmigiana, EVOO, arugula, radicchio, and, lemon juice, to the appetizer (Capesante al Ragù di mare) with saffron-infused shrimp, scallop and mussels in a sauce that you must sop up with their house-made ciabatta, to the Strozzapreti al Gamberi with thick, perfectly al dente thick pasta wagain with a variant saffron sauce and shrimp, you will marvel at the complexity of flavors combined with the textures that you expect, The essence of true Italian cooking is the use of a few, high-quality ingredients combined deftly into a memorable dish. Amarone does not disappoint. If you want dessert, their housemade tiramisu hits all the high notes with its espresso and cocoa-flavored mascarpone. Prices are quite reasonable, more $$ than $$$. I've paid far more for a vastly inferior meal. You can usually find parking on the street or in their own lot; check with Sandro if you have questions. The wine list is extensive, including some notable Italian and other selections. As far as I am concerned, if you want excellent authentic Italian food and atmosphere at a modest and fair price. this is your place. Full stop.

What a nice dining experience that feels like a little escape from LA. Once you are inside the place feels very Italian. We came here for a birthday celebration with a group of six. Our server was also the owner, Sandro. He was great! Such a character and you could tell he definitely loves what he does. We sat upstairs which only had three tables including ours, it felt almost private which was great.Between all of us we split two bottles of wine (delicious!), the Calamari alla Griglia, and a salad (forget which one). We had a variety of different pasta dishes as well. I ended up ordering their version of Linguini and Clams, and we got an extra plate of Spaghetti al frutti di Mare which was delicious. The Spaghetti al frutti di Mare and the Risotto were my favorites. The Calamari was not exactly what we expected, it wasn't breaded or fried it was actually grilled which I had never had before. Overall, a really great experience. You almost immediately feel like a regular in this place which was so fun and different from LA. Definitely recommend!

Such an amazing find on the Sunset strip! You can taste the quality of ingredients-- which were phenomenal. I started with the beef Carpaccio (which is the best beef carpaccio I've ever had). The thinly sliced beef with parmigiana was the perfect gateway! I chose the Bolognese as my entree and it was so satisfying. I paired this experience with a nice red.

This family owned italian restaurant was a true gem. The atmoshere was welcoming and casual too. Excellent service and all our waiters were attentive and professional. Now let us talk about their food, I truly enjoyed our meals. From our appetizer to our salad, and of course our entree. The freshest of ingredients are chosen without a doubt, the taste of the food feels like you are dining in Italy. Authentic and pure deliciousness, with out being pretentious. If you are in LA, do not miss out on this restaurant. Our cocktails were very nice and refreshing too. We sat outside on a warm summer afternoon, and I highly recommend to anyone who loves real genuine Italian cuisine. Thank you for a lovely evening.
