The lemon ricotta pancakes are a MUST HAVE‼They're perfectly fluffy and not too sweet. The lemon and ricotta flavor really comes through and surprisingly not too overpowering. However, the carnitas omelette was a bit underwhelming. There was not enough flavor for me and if they just added a little salsa - it could go a long way. The potatoes it was paired with were packed with flavor and super crispy, so that saved the dish for me. Sunday brunch anywhere can get packed and this place was no exception. We waited about 10-15 minutes to order and the way you order is you pay inside first and then they come to you with the food after. The wait was not too bad since there is a lot of seating. They have both inside and outdoor seating. Highly recommend outdoor since their patio is filled with nice greenery. This place has cute cozy vibes with large portions. They also have an assortment of cakes and pastries! You can also help yourself to get water, napkins, to go boxes, and hot sauce. This is one of my favorite places to go because you can walk around the area as well. Parking can be a pain, but there's plenty of residential streets that are free to park.

Great place to people watch... it's always busy but somehow I'm never waiting to long for food. Great food, expensive? Yes... kinda but always fresh with hearty proportions. The staff are really attentive and the serviceis stellar. Good luck with parking but I have decent luck parking on Rodney.. watch out for street cleaning tickets!

This is one of those quintessential Los Angeles spots that feels like a secret garden tucked away in the heart of the city. The atmosphere is both lively and intimate, making it a perfect destination for brunch, coffee, lunch, studying, or even a first date. It's a place where creativity meets comfort, and it keeps me coming back for more. One of the most unique features (and my personal fave ) of Alcove is the back room table with drawers where you can leave written secrets or notes to loved ones--living or passed. There's something so beautifully human about this touch, and it adds a layer of magic to an already charming experience. Whether you're jotting down a memory or reading the notes others have left, it makes you feel connected to something bigger. The food and coffee are always top-notch. From hearty breakfast burritos to decadent pastries, everything is prepared with care. Their lattes are consistently smooth and perfectly crafted. The outdoor patio is an oasis, buzzing with a mix of locals and visitors soaking in the sunlight or tucked under the shade of the trees.Whether you're catching up with friends, diving into a good book, or indulging in a solo treat, Alcove is a spot that welcomes you with open arms. Loads of L.A. charm! Service is fast!

It's all about the aesthetics. The outdoor patio, the brick tiling, the umbrellas...it's a whole vibe. The service is great too with super friendly and efficient staff. The food is good nothing spectacular or magnificent...just good. Be mindful of the parking. It's tricky to find a spot with so many street signs but they do offer valet. All in all Alcove is always a great time with great company.

Very quaint with so many offerings. Can get very busy but I love the look and feel of this place. Gives you that cozy neighborhood feel. Street parking is definitely an issue but valet is available. Food is tasty and you will certainly love the dessert offerings. This is is also a good place to pull up at the bar and chit chat with friends.

It was a wonderful experience. Charming patio with ample seating. We had table service but only on the weekends. Otherwise you stand in line. But the line goes fast. Food was delicious. The ricotta pancakes were excellent.

Alcove was a wonderful breakfast/brunch spot. Parking was challenging, however Alcove was worth the search. Service was wonderful! Staff are so friendly and attentive. A great selection on the menu and food/coffee is delish! I especially loved their outdoor patio seating that is animal friendly. I recommend the Hazelnut latte

This restaurant was my go to back in the day with my girlfriends. It has a super cute front patio perfect for a nice day in L.A. I ordered the breakfast biscuit sandwich and my intern got the burger to eat. While the dishes themselves didn't particularly wow us, the vibes of this place makes up for it. It's got a similar vibe to Urth Caffe where you wait in line to order your food and then find a spot to sit after. A lot of people seem to be working here, so it's good to know that this is a good spot to get some laptops up time. They have valet here, but we found street parking in one of the residential areas instead.

Hungry? Don't worry, Alcove Cafe and Bakery got you! This was my first time trying Alcove, you order at the register and the staff will bring your order out promptly. I love how vast their menu was and opted for a classic burger with sweet potato fries. This burger was HUGE! I love how the staff were super friendly and I left the cafe FULL! This is a nice spot to study, cowork, and catch up with friends! Pro-tip: opt for their outdoor patio seating, it's gorgeous!
