Great food and friendly service :)I don't usually write reviews, but when I do, it's because the place either really impressed me or the opposite. Had to leave a review for AiPaPa Kitchen though because the food and service were awesome. Wish I took pictures, but the food was gone too quickly! If you're thinking about checking it out, definitely do!

Started with their potato starch noodles before they opened this place. And now I'm very happy they have opened up this place and finally have more options! Must try : Lanzhou potato noodles, flatbread lamb, and traditional lamb stew!!!!!!! Honestly amazon food and amazing service. The pricing is also very very good. :)

I just want to begin by praising the staff and partners for an excellent presentation of Gansu Lanzhou street food. The herbs/spices were authentic, the texture of the Spicy Skewered Lamb was just right and overall this was just a great overall Protein Packed Lanzhou Style Pita Bun with all that 13 spices/ peppers wrapped in one. The Tea itself was good, you can taste a bit of chrysanthemum, rose petals, and Tie Guan Ying/ maybe Jasmine in there to get a very warm soothing floral sweet tea to counter the recent cold winds outside the restaurant. That being said, I'm going to give my honest recommendations / suggestions to the staff to make the experience even better: Because the lamb is so jam packed with juices and flavor from the 13 spices, fennel, cumin, cayenne peppers, salt, etc, I really do believe that too much of the lamb is quite a bit overpowering for this dish. It's missing a bit of something "not salt" , "not fats" , it's missing something to bring it full circle: balance. And this can easily be tweaked, by having a menu option whereby customers can request 50% protein, add Cilantro / Parsley, add Diced Onions, lemon cuts and a side of pickled Gansu Vegetables. I believe this would allow some customers the option to truly savor this dish without feeling overwhelmed or overpowered by the oils, and spices because the toasted bun itself doesn't really absorb the fats and the saltiness from the lamb. But like I said, this is just a suggestion, I know the establishment is probably trying to keep everything authentic to its roots, but options and customization can never be a bad thing.

I saw that this place has a lamb fish and was curious about it so when visiting the area I gave it a try. Personally if this was lamb was wrapped in a mushu burrito wrap it would probably tastes better with a combination of its spices and the brown sauce you get with Peking Duck. I didn't care for the flatbread concept. It was packed with lamb but the price point of $13 hurt my pocketbook.

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would!!! Honestly such delicious food. I order the lamb flatbread, lamb stew, cucumber salad, traditional tea, and potato noodle soup. OMG every bite was out of this world! The potato noodles had such a chewy yet elastic mouth feel. Really delicious. I got it hot spicy level and it isn't really spicy. Honestly to be expected with Northwestern style Chinese food in my limited experience. The broth was so flavorful yet balanced. The lamb stew had such a soul warming taste and the pickled garlic and radish brightened each bite. Tear the flat bread and let it soak up the lamb broth. The lamb flatbread was next level! The amount of lamb they give is so generous. If you like meat heavy food, get it! The lamb was very tender and the cumin flavor was so intense yet balanced (yet again lol). The cucumber salad was refreshing. It was crispy and fresh. The traditional tea is very reminiscent of 8 treasure tea. Floral yet green tea leaf forward. The potato noodles came with a free drink as well. I got the pear juice. Not too sweet. I also got the Aipapa yogurt and it was slightly sweet, floral, and very yummy. Highly recommend. The service was amazing! The servers speak English so there wasn't much of a language barrier. Very quick service and they were very nice! We arrived literally a minute after they opened so I was prepared to wait a bit, but no need. The inside is on the smaller side but theres a decent amount of seating. Very family friendly vibes. I will be back!

Came here expecting the previous Taiwanese restaurant, but they closed that I don't even know. Now it's called Aipapa Kitchen. So decide to give it a try and ordered a bowl of lamb soup-Wow! It really blew me away! The broth was incredibly rich and flavorful. I just found a new hidden gem for late -night eats! Highly recommend!

I love this sandwich it's a to go to order for me. It has the right amount of spice and seasoning. The staff at this restaurant are one of the most kind and welcoming people I had a great experience with the owner of the restaurant. I recommend trying the lamb flatbread sandwich, grilled flatbread or the spicy potato noodles! And if your craving something sweet try out the yogurt it's so delicious

You need to come here and get the potato noodles and lamb pocket. Like wow, game over best thing I've eaten all week. The noodles were bouncy and savory with pickles and peanuts and spice. The lamb pocket was STUFFED with fatty seasoned lamb and the bread was soft.

I've had this spot bookmarked for a while now and I'm glad to have finally tried it out. It did not disappoint! We ordered the potato noodles and the lamb flat bread. Both were 10/10! Definitely recommend those items, and I am definitely coming back.

I recently tried Lanzhou Braised Lamb and Lanzhou Potato Noodles for the first time, and the experience was absolutely amazing--not just because of the food, but also because of the wonderful service. For my first time experiencing these Lanzhou specialties, I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. If you've never tried them before, I highly recommend it--you won't be disappointed!
