The best place for AYCE sushi in LA. Aikan in Pasadena has been our go-to sushi restaurant for years. The food is well worth the price and service is always fast.

A+++ FoodServiceVibes Came in for lunch and got the regular AYCE. I can't name everything I ordered at all because of how much was an available but everything was good. You can throw a dart at the menu and have something delicious and fresh.

Came for lunch. Server was kind, but they'd recommend you to limit the ordering to avoid food waste. Food came out pretty fast. Unfortunately the ice cream didn't come with the lunch buffet. But food was kinda bad especially for $35.99. The only thing that was okay was the eel, cooked salmon, and French fries. I really did not like the food. The plain udon soup was sour, the yaki udon was sour. The tel was okay, a lot of sauce though. The cooked salmon was okay, cooked through, grilled. The only thing I would've gotten again. We found out tonight that they have a wait list that you can take advantage of on the weekends. We ordered all kinds of sushi and other stuff - all excellent! Their prices for AYCE sushi is truly a great value. Celeste is an amazing waitress.

We visited on a Friday afternoon and were sat within a few minutes. (Pro-tip: Utilize their Yelp waitlist.)Our server was friendly, along with the rest front of house team. They checked in, dropped off dishes and collected plates fairly quickly and quite consistently. We opted for their premium AYCE for $47.99 (regular for $35.99) to try their ama ebi, scallops, etc and they were delicious! The meal is somewhat of a blur now, but I do recall how satisfying their miso soup, agedashi tofu and broiled mussels were. I'm fairly certain I'd return for their regular option for several rounds of those dishes. The dining areas are split in two areas. We sat in the one towards the left versus the one straight ahead. It was casual but nice, and with the sushi bar and several TVs (showing MIB) around the room. There was plenty of street parking available on Green.

Loveee all you can eat sushi with Aikan. Already reviewed the Burbank location but Pasadena was my go to- ever since moving to LA. Came here with my family for a celebration and the service was very welcoming. We ordered a lot of premium sushi and it came all together. There's a variety of appetizers to choose from. our fave sushi was the seared yellow tail and tuna belly! We also ordered the tonkatsu ramen, the broth was comforting and delicious. The ambiance was inviting. Will always come back to Aikan sushi. Mike was our waiter he was inviting and friendly!

Food is great, literally "premium sushi" in the name and they stick by it. For all you can't eat, I don't think I'd go anywhere else. Service is great, the presentation of the sushi in their plates is very appealing, and the ambiance is really chill, not too crazy like most AYCE place.

Been coming here for a couple years now and this place does not disappoint.Food:You have the option to do AYCE or a la carte. Each time I've visited, I've only done AYCE. A lot of people assume the quality won't be as great, but Aikan has always been fresh. I keep to my usual picks, but anything you choose will likely be delicious.Service:It can get busy, but they're very attentive. If not your server, someone else would step in and help. Our servers have always been polite and occasionally come around to ask how everything is. PETER was great!Ambiance:Place is not too fancy. Can go on a date night or with a bunch of friends.Be aware during the busy times and prepared for a wait. You can sign up for the waitlist if you are located nearby, but even at that you're still likely to wait.

The seared yellow tale nigiri is fantastic! Loved the fried oysters, service is the best, 100% recommendPeter's service was awesome

Love the food, service could use some work. On on our most recent visit our waiter kept suggesting that we order less food. It weirded us out. When did "All You Can Eat" become "All Your Waiter Thinks You Should Eat"? If you order anything other than rice-filled rolls or fried appetizers, expect your food to come at a snail's-pace.
