Always fresh with best quality and service, always hits the spot. Atmosphere and space on point. The side dishes that perfectly accentuates and complements the meat on each bite. Fave.

You're better off not coming here if there's a kpop concert in town because everyone (including the celebritites) will be coming here afterwards or around the days the kpop performers are in town. It is that popular and that good!It was friend's birthday (and also the birthday for BTS' Suga) so we celebrated the occasion with lunch at Ahgassi Gopchang. Our party of five dined on the beef combo with some sides. What a great first time!On the next trip, six of us shared the large Ahgassi combo ($125), choosing pork belly over pork jowl. Just enough for us all and oi, so good. Be sure to order garlic, jalapenos, and ssamjang on the side to make everything taste even better! You can do valet parking here or look for metered and unmetered street parking. Just pay attention to the signs! Also if you're waiting, check out their wall of fame signatures up front by the register and restrooms.

Ahgassi Gopchang K-BBQ in LA was our first stop after landing for vacation, and as BTS fans, we had to check it out. The restaurant is located at a corner intersection, but finding the entrance can be a bit tricky--you have to go around and enter from the inside of the block, where other restaurants are also facing. There's a parking lot in the middle, but being in downtown LA, spaces are limited. We took an Uber, so parking wasn't an issue for us.We had heard about long wait times, but when we arrived, it was relatively empty--likely because we came early, starving from our flight. We were seated right away, and the restaurant had a good number of tables, accommodating different party sizes. The service was great, with the staff introducing the menu and helping us with recommendations. They have a variety of combo options, including gopchang (intestines), which is a favorite among Korean diners. We opted for the Ahgassi combo, and the meat quality and texture did not disappoint. The staff grilled and turned the meat for us, making the experience even more enjoyable. I'm not sure if they do this when the restaurant is busier, but it was a nice touch. The side dishes were solid, with a few unique ones I hadn't seen at other K-BBQ spots before. Overall, it was a good experience, though not vastly different from quality K-BBQ restaurants in WA. If you're in LA and craving Korean BBQ, especially gopchang, it's worth a visit!

Not AYCE, but you definitely will get full!! We got a combo and it was a good portion for two... we topped off with getting Pork Jowl as well and it made it a perfect amount. My partner and I have been enjoying going to higher quality KBBQ spots and focusing on quality vs quantity and this place definitely was good quality! Even the Soondubu soup was super flavorful, which is something that usually lacks when you fogo to an AYCE location.Parking can be tough, but there is street parking and a lot behind the restaurant that we didn't know of until we walked overService was quick and good, they cook for you like at Baekjeong. Ambiance is nice and clean.

This is one of the more showy KBBQ spots which is great for those that love taking photos and videos. Apparently this place gets the hype from a lot of the kpop celebrities making visits here, but surprisingly, we were able to walk in with no wait at 5:30pm on a Sunday for a party of 7, and also spot lots of empty tables around. We got a bit of a lighter meal - a large Ahgassi combo with pork belly, and a small gopchang combo, both with soybean soup and steamed egg. The banchan here is a little weak, mostly salad and some green onions and kimchi. You can relax as the servers cook for you, unlike some KBBQ restaurants. The Ahgassi combo featured brisket, boneless short rib, pork steak, and pork belly (or pork jowl). The brisket is okay, a bit tough but lean. The boneless short rib is fairly juicy, and this one was cooked high up in flames for a showy presentation. The pork steak and pork belly took a bit longer to prepare, but quite delicious, not marinated so you should use the sauces and salt they provide for the table. If I go back, I would prefer just doing the beef combo. The gopchang combo is a good size, a bit heavy as expected given it is intestines, and they were precooked so only a little bit more cooking is needed to be ready to eat. This one has an even more impressive presentation. Afterwards, they make fried rice from the oil from the gopchang tableside, arranged neatly with seaweed in the middle. That is a great concluding dish. Both these combos amount to the right amount of food for a satisfying meal, if you are aiming for the more conservative estimate indicated on the menu (e.g., assuming 4 people for a 3-4 person portion for large combo). It was not expensive but not cheap, about $35 per person but easily more if you go with a smaller party and order more meats. Service is okay as the initial round of waters took a while and required follow-ups, but subsequent service is good.

I've been here three times and the first time was pretty good but the 2nd time was great so I'm rounding to the five star mark because I would definitely come back and recommend to friends. Known for their intestines but the quality of the other meat pieces are very good too. We always get the intestines here and it's never failed us. The fried rice they make at the end in the meat oil is chef's kiss too. We also like the beef tongue and rib fingers here!Servers are running all over the place depending on busy but generally, they are watching out for your meat cooking process and do it for you. This most recent 3rd time was still good, but only thing lacking for the staff attentiveness for cooking. So this can be a hit or miss. Good banchan selection and ingredients are always fresh!

Everyone knows two of some of the most well-known things about this place are that their intestines are amazing and that BTS, an amazing band, came here. Their meats, kimchi pancake, soup, and side dishes are good but the intestines are the stars of the show. The intestines here have phenomenal flavor and keep you wanting more. I generally don't like intestines too much but every time I come here, the phenomenal flavor of their intestines convinces me to become a die-hard intestines fan for that day. Service was great. Came here on a Friday night and it had an awesome atmosphere with good music. Ahgassi Gopchang, you are simply Ah-mazing (amazing)!

Right off the bat, BTS is what brought me here. Decided to check out what the hype was all about. We ordered the large Ahgassi combo. Parking: We luckily were able to find free parking right around the corner on a Tuesday night but they seem to have valet parking. Since we didn't park in their plaza, we had some trouble finding the entrance to the store and had to ask a neighboring bakery on how to get to the front of the restaurant. Food: The meat quality was good and you could tell it was fresh. I'm normally an AYCE kbbq person so you could definitely taste the difference in quality. The side dishes were different than what I'm used to but they were all pretty good. I love the chive kimchi! The meal came with steamed egg and we chose the soft tofu soup. Both were good but nothing to write home about. Service: They cook for you here so that was a new experience for me! However, at this price point ($125 combo) I definitely think service could have improved. Halfway through our meal they brought out the kimchi, garlic, & jalapeño which they said pairs well with pork but I honestly think it could have been on the table from the start. Also, they had this cold broth as a palate cleanser on the table that we had to ask about because we weren't sure what it was. We also had to ask for our water to be refilled. Server was nice but overall dining experience could have been better.

I ordered the aghassi combo and it was flavorless. I don't know what's the hype about it. I think the gopchang combo is much better. The service was alright. We asked for water 3 times before they brought to us. We came at 11AM and the restaurant was already packed with a long line. The servers grilled everything for us. I don't know if there is dairy in the meals but two of us who are lactose intolerant had multiple diarrhea afterwards. I recommend bringing lactaid to make sure.Valet parking is $7 cash or venmo which I think is really pricey for valet. I guess they know people come here so they make the valet expensive.
