Haven't been to 888 in so long. Came here for dim sum recently. I did want to enjoy dim sum with the push carts so I wasn't sure if this restaurant had it. We didn't have to wait so was seated pretty quick. Walking in, could see that they did get rid of the push carts. You need to order via the paper on the table just like most Chinese restaurants around the area now. It's ok though. We ordered their shu mai, har gow, chicken feet, and others. Overall the dim sum was pretty good. Only ones that I didn't really enjoy was their chicken feet and their fried yam with fillings. Chicken feet didn't taste very flavorful. The fried yam balls had a weird taste to them. However, I can't complain about their other food. Place wasn't too bad though. Was surprised they were showing the NBA game on their big wide screens on both sides of the restaurant. Staff was nice and friendly. Not too bad.

Came here on a holiday, it was New Year's Day. Super packed. Waited about an hour. Got there at 11:30am, sat down @ 12:30pm, ordered. Didn't like that the food came out one by one but it's understandable because it was a very busy day. We waited forever for the shrimp har gow, it never came out. Asked them to check on it about 2-3 times. I kept seeing them serve it to other tables that came after us. Very upsetting. Service was not bad, the server taking care of us deserves a raise, he understood English and explained the dishes very well. Ordered dim sum mostly, was ok. Chicken feet was delicious! Didn't like the black chicken soup. And I forgot what the dish was called, but it had vegetables with century egg - didn't like that at all. Wouldn't recommend that. Didn't leave the place until 2:45pm.. since food took forever to come out. I've never spent over 2 hours while sitting & waiting for food. Probably would go back on a non holiday.. also the restaurant looked nice, I liked the big screens playing college football lol.

Parking: free ample parking. The street you enter/exit is a little busy, but you can't fault the restaurant for that at all. Service: a lot of staff sitting around. Could not tell if they were on break or if that's just the culture. Ordered to go at off peak time. Food: got the walnut honey shrimp ($23). Good but not enough for the value. Yang Chou fried rice ($18). Good but a little bland. Would recommend a little more salt or some sort of seasoning/soy sauce. Ordered one more dish which was our favorite out of the three, but sadly can't remember the name of the dish. Overall, would return if in the area, but wouldn't specifically go back just for a specific dish.

888 is an established Cantonese restaurant in the SGV with dim sum and a large floorplan that can accommodate large parties and I seem to end up here for those occasions. Came here for a birthday celebration so the menu was pre-set. Food is good and servywill be different for large gatherings. They have a stage and larger screen for karaoke which adds some entertainment during long meals. But, it also can mean listening to someone sing a Bee Gees or Lionel Ritchie song that can't hit those notes... Check out my pics.

Interesting place, the outside does not give justice to the better inside of the restaurant/venue. The 10 course food was tasty but some dishes were better than others. Did not care much for the taro dessert or the mixed meats portage. The service was lacking, nobody guided us to our reserved room since nobody was not in the host desk. After finding the party half of the servers did not understand some of the questions asked, I believe they spoke more Chinese than English. They have big sharing portions.

I had the pleasure of attending a friend's wedding at 888 Seafood, and it was a good experience! The service and food were great. There was so much food! Every dish was flavorful and fresh, making it a true feast. The ambiance was perfect for a celebration. Highly recommend for both special events and casual dining!

I love buying roasted duck, roasted pork and bbq pork here. I normally walk to the hallway and you'll see a to go section. Usually I don't dine in but the other day I stopped by for a late lunch. I believe they stop selling Dim Sum after 2:30pm. I ordered:Roasted duck (whole)Har gowSiu maiTunip cakeSteamed rice noodle roll with bbq porkIn my opinion, dim sum was a bit lacking here. Some may disagree. To me, the main dishes that's good here would be the three I mentioned and you can also buy these from the to go section. Parking can be difficult to find here during peak hours and if they are hosting a wedding. Service was great. They were attentive and friendly.

We had the custard filled pineapple bun, black bean spareribs, shrimp dumplings, steamed bbq pork bun, pork & egg congee, beef & cilantro steamed rice roll, water chestnut cake. I personally wasn't a fan of the water chestnut cake, it was too sweet for me.The service was really good. Very friendly.Overall, we thought the food was just okay. Not that it was really bad but I personally wouldn't come back for dim sum just because many of the items I like to have are not on the menu. Such as the deep fried taro puff.

Seafood restaurant the offers Dim Sum for lunch. We went for Dim Sum on a weekday Not super crowded. Food was standard - Shumai, Har gow, shrimp rice roll. Spare ribs, lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice - everything was just standard fare. Similar to any Dim Sum at lower price point around here Makes sense why it was not that crowded Would return if other places were on a long wait or if someone else paid
