1010 Wine and Events

My first time here, and I had absolutely the best time ever! It was battle of the bands after party too, so it really was turnt!! Started of Black history month here with a bang! The best black bar I've ever tried I had so many good wines and the my even let me sample before I picked. I order some of the best wines and I forgot all the names because I would tell the bartender to give me what's good lol literally all of them were good! And of course black owned! I do have pics tho of bottles I did try! The food was also bomb too! I had the Hennessy flavored wings w/ a side of collard greens and tried the impossible burger slides. My friend ordered the salmon bites and I tried one and they were so good too!! The food was so fresh and hot!!! Which I really love!! Gotta try the chicken next time for sure! I really loved the ambiance here and the decor and how modern it is! Very clean also!! They have happy hour menu and they serve brunch as well!! I heard the brunch is good too! Going to try that as well lol Last but not least I want to say my friend and I stayed here for 5 hours because the customer service was beyond exceptional! I love that !! Le manager/ owner was wonderful and had the best attitude and was working greatly under pressure !! She was attentive at all times with what we needed and it rare was correct! Leslie the other owner was amazing too! They are down to earth and easy going with superb hospitality! Honestly, I see why the reviews are great this bar is the place to go! A bomb Dj, the best wines, good food quality, and elite customer service! Good for all types of occasions no doubt about it! I will be back and highly recommend!! It's feels good to see women if color excelling with a business! There is street parking, and valet for $10.00 -Marshay D.

Black owned and worth the visit! I will probably make this my goto place, especially when solo. It's an open concept, but still intimate enough for friends or date. I like that they have TVs all around, so you can catch a game too. The service was great, as everyone was attentive to us throughout our visit. I love, love, love live music so it was nice to have a DJ who also plays the sax! I cannot say that I am a fan of the shrimp and grits. The consistency of the grits were like mashed potatoes, and the sauce was more of a gravy? Can't explain it. I did enjoy the wine. I'll be back for sure, even if it's just to enjoy the libations and atmosphere! I would recommend they invest in a better way to write down the wines in the flight, just to keep it cute. Maybe small chalkboards or something? Key notes: it's on a busy street, so it's easy to pass. Valet is the only option for parking.

Overall I had a a good experience the two times I came here. For starters, the place is difficult to find. It is a non-distinct black building with no signage. If you're lucky you'll see the valet sign. Even when the 1010 numbers are lit at night, they don't stand out well. There is limited street parking, especially the later in the evening it gets.The space inside is really nice with classy decor and a bar with TVs. There are wine flights, small bitesand a selection of upscale comfort available to order.Everything we had was pretty good and the service was friendly. This is a great pre-show option if you're going to YouTube Theater, SoFi or The Forum as they aren't that far. Also great for a girls night out!

1010 Wine and Events is a solid 10/10! I finally had the chance to visit for a friend's birthday party, and it did not disappoint. While waiting for the rest of the group to arrive, I sat at the bar to explore the menu. The friendliest host (whose name I wish I could remember) helped me sample some of their sweet red wine options, and they were amazing. She was so kind and attentive--it really set the tone for the experience.Once the full party arrived (a group of 20+ people), we sat down to order. Managing such a large group isn't easy, so props to them for getting most of the orders right! I had the shrimp and grits with andouille sausage (for a small upcharge), and it was absolutely delicious. While the price is a bit steep, the quality made it worth it.For Sunday brunch, they had a DJ who creates an incredible vibe. This DJ even played the saxophone and incorporated it into the set, which was such a cool touch. The energy, music, and overall atmosphere were amazing. I'll definitely be back for those brunch vibes--and I may need to check them out on a Friday night for their dinner options too!

Highly recommend the sangria flight. I went for the Superbowl halftime show & service was great. The wings & skewers were delicious.

Not just a wine bar, the food here is great! Had the whole fish and Brussels sprouts. Amazing! Service was excellent and professional, the wine recommendations all hit.

My friend and I went to 1010 because we've heard sooo much about them and their wine events! It's a cute and cozy little spot, but they do have lots of seating. It's also great to sit at the bar where they have a mirrored wall and taste different wine options. The service was great. They got an order noted mixed up and fixed it immediately. The owner, Leslie, was as sweet as can be and explained the notes in every wine we were tasting and why they were paired with each dish. My only issues were that the Snapper filet would usually be assumed to be boneless, and it wasn't; I almost choked, and it was painful. The 2nd is that street parking isn't the easiest around there. They have valet, but obviously, you have to pay valet rates to park. That might not be convenient for everyone.Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed the evening and the wine very much!

Magnificent. Beautiful bar/restaurant with pops of orange. I love the staff and the food. They have recently changed the menu and it's quite elevated and fancy (not sure if they have the wings still)Great wines you can't find elsewhere. Love that it's sister owned and they have events throughout the month.Live music on Wednesday and happy hour all day Thursday. Parking is easy and they also valet for $10 :)

Finally, tried this place and was left disappointed. Firstly, they have stuff on their menu that's outdated, they no longer carry, or don't have any more. For it to be a QR code menu, the menu should be updated. Secondly, the food was subpar. I ordered the chicken and waffle, the waffle had champagne in it. The waffle had no flavor and was overly chewy in the middle. The chicken wings were huge, I hate big chicken, tasted burnt and fried in old oil. Chicken lacked seasoning which is crazy for a restaurant with Black clientele. The shrimp and grits had good flavor. They charge more if you use a card but I didn't see il that advertised anywhere. Valet is $10 but if you have time you may be able to find street parking. Customer service was good. Eh, I would return to try something else.

One of my go to spots to take someone visiting LA! Love the vibes, food, service and DJs.
