FOUR BIG BOOMS!!! BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!! The huarache here is so good!! I definitely recommend trying this place!! The chiles asados and carrots pair well with the food!! The service is great and the staff are very friendly!

Been coming here 15+ years and never an issue unless you count the downsizing of their post Covid menu. I usually order to go, but have dined in countless times as well. When I order a combination dinner plate, I ask for beans instead of rice. No issue at all. When I order a bowl of caldo or cocido, I ask for beans instead of the side of rice that accompanies it. Sort of like asking for mashed potatoes instead of hash browns at an American restaurant. No issues until now. Recent evening phone orders I placed , the female cashier (and younger male cashier) says that cannot be done when ordering caldo. I have to accept the rice given with the Cocido, no beans allowed (no pun intended). Also, in the past the amount of refried beans given equals the portion of rice given in a small, 1/2 full styrofoam cup. No larger amount is given which is fair and reasonable. I think not allowing this customer request is very perplexing for a renowned Mexican restaurant of high standard and authenticity. I usually recommend this restaurant to friends, family, and acquaintances when the opportunity arises. I will have to think that over. Come on now Zavala's, in the ground zero land of taquerias, don't disappoint your customers, especially the longtime ones that kept patronizing you through COVID and now inflation! Like Mexican comedian Hector Suarez used to say, "QUE NOS PASA"!

Zavala's has always been so delicious. I usually get a wet chicken burrito half mole half green sauce but today I tried their breakfast and let me tell you it was so good !!!I got the green chile Chilaquiles and a side of hashbrowns. Hashbrowns were crispy. had flavor Chilla Quiles had flavor. It also came with rice and refried beans. this is Definitely going to be one of my favorites to get again!

This place greets you while you walk in. There gringas are so fire. Horchata delicious

I tried their happy hour burrito which is $7 and it is decently sized. I tried the carne asada burrito. The food is flavorful and the staff is wonderful. Especially this one elderly lady, she is the sweetest. I've come a few times that she has already recognized me. I have also tried their flan de caramelo & gotten their taco Tuesday specials (carne asada & chicken ) that are yummy. I like protein that is juicy and flavorful, I think it's like $6-7 dollars but worth it for the size. Would recommend if you're in the mood for tacos or burritos.

Full disclosure I rarely eat Mexican food out. I was set it up for a party around the block. Of course my go to stress food is french fries . I said I was just going to go to Taco Bell to get french fries and everybody gave me a dirty look. They sent me here. I'm so glad they did. I got the carne asada fries minus the carne asada . everybody was so friendly and attentive. The salsa was so good. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. I definitely going back there. Thank you for my non-meat Carne Asada french fries they were delicious. A 100 yards away they have a Taqueria that just sells tacos. Definitely telling my mom!

Favorite spot to get mulitas! During Valentine's Day they have a super good pink horchata. Their chips& salsa are super good too!

Very slow service. Only two waitresses and restaurant packed on Sunday. Owner needs to pay more attention at this issue. Food still good tho

One of the more authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. Large servings at a fare price. Wait staff is great! All the dishes are worth trying, especially the Pozole, one of my favorites.
