Zabon Ramen Bar is utilising space to the utmost, with three cozy yet roomy booths, and some tables. But with different bathrooms for gents and ladies. I would not dismiss it as an ill regarded hole in the wall. Rather, the palate of the spicy zabon ramen I thought sort of ran to a balanced taste which I enthusiastically devoured. Bean sprouts, cabbage, green onions, savoury broth, ramen noodles made in house with the fine texture, chashu pork with the tenderest bit of fat. Mmm. Added extra toppings of bamboo shoots and wood ear mushrooms was enough to share between three people. Including also the spicy pork bites and the kaarage chicken for appetizers and you have a fairly fantastic supper. The chicken was very fried yet incredibly juicy. I squeezed two slices of lemon on my spicy zabon ramen, the bamboo shoots and wood ears really added "meat" too, and I thought the spice ball really made the pork chashu pop. Even though I had a regular size bowl instead of large it was very filling. Stepmum and Da shared a bowl of regular no spice zabon ramen and thought the place should be awarded by Michelin. The servers were really good at checking on us every couple of minutes to see if we needed anything. It seemed like the place could feed fifty hungry people at the same time with nobody feeling crushed and a third to half the space was again being utilised well by ramen enthusiasts, as the sun began to set. I don't understand so much why this place has some bad reviews. The more fancy ramen I get, the happier I am realizing that each restaurant family sets its own bar based on their family's taste buds, and it's to me never more apparent these subtle differences than in a bowl of soup, especially with noodles, most especially with ramen.

Came here with my family when we were craving ramen on a cold night and saw this place was open still. The fried rice was more flavorful than I expected! I think it was surprisingly the best thing that my family ordered. The fried squid and takoyaki were enjoyable as well and came out quickly. The ramen took a bit more time but there were a lot of people in the restaurant then. I got the Miso ramen and it was good but it didn't hit the spot for me as much as I hoped it would. My family and I still had a good experience here as the place was nice and clean & the servers were really nice.

Been coming here for over a year now and this is the number 1 Ramen around town. Their Spicy Zabon ramen is great for crudas (hangovers) or if you arnt into spice their regular Zabon ramen is a delicious. Definitely a comfort food for cold days or when you need a tummy warmer. Also, don't forget to try their fried rice, Really Good.

I really wanted to like this place more. I got their ramen appetizer combo where you choose which ramen you want and a choice of appetizer. I'm not sure but I just didn't think any of the food hit the spot for me. I had a few bites and took the rest home. And spent the next two days finishing it from not wanting to waste food but also hard as it wasn't satisfying my craving. I gave it another chance when I doordashed the food and again, it just didn't do it for me. I chose this place to try as my first two options were close to closing or the waitlist was way too long and I was hungry. The service here is fine. I didn't have much interaction with the staff as I seated myself at the bar area and the menu was waiting there. I ordered and received my food. Not so packed, and lots of space in the restaurant. Maybe I might try it a third time in the future but I might not want to waste my money.

I do love this place. However, I had to call 8 times in order to speak to someone so I can place an order. I ordered the Zabon ramen with no meat, asked could I replace it with green onion instead... said no?? It would be an additional charge. I'm not sure why you can't substitute onion for meat. But having to call 8 times makes me not want to come back.

Started coming here more often to try the different ramen on the menu and the Zabon ramen is actually sooo good and different than any other ramen in the area. Also the boiled gyoza has become a favorite appetizer I love the sauce they put on top. It gives a soup dumpling kind of vibe that I love. Definitely try it if you haven't

I've ordered from here a few times already and the ramen is very good, but this last time I ordered I found a hair in my ramen. I called their restaurant 3 times to try and get a hold of someone and no one answered and it went straight to the answering machine saying their mailbox is full. I'm extremely disappointed in this and for them to not even answer the phone is unacceptable.
