Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, Yang Chow 2.0 is nostalgic to me. I remember going to their restaurants in Pasadena and Chinatown as a child. I'm glad that they have this location in Long Beach. I come here for "to go" orders that I make through an online order. I like ordering the following dishes:Slippery ShrimpBroccoli BeefYang Chow Fried RiceShrimp Lo MeinDeep Fried Pork ChopsBraised String BeansI guess it's most of their menu. It goes to show that you can't really go wrong ordering here. These items are upscale versions of there americanized cantonese flavors. While these items at Yang Chow 2.0 are the most popular items from the large menus of their other restaurants, it's their slippery shrimp that stands out to me. I'd describe it as cornstarch crusted shrimp with garlicky, sweet, and savory glaze. There isn't a lot of seating inside this restaurant. I usually take my food to go from here. Parking can sometimes be an issue in this lot, but online ordering makes picking up orders easy.

It was fine and honestly disappointing. I have been to their Pasadena location many times and its quite a bit better. I had expected them to be more comparable because I don't think this one has cheaper prices for its a la carte entree items. There was just something missing in terms of the flavors in every dish. I'd be okay with that if it were 20% cheaper, but not when I'm paying nearly $20 per entree, which unfortunately don't come with rice. The deep fried pork chops were strange. They were covered in jalepaneos, which is a weird flavor combo and not listed on their menu. Mine were also severely overcooked. I'll keep doing to their sit down restaurant, but if I want something fast and local, I'll just go to Panda Express

First time ordering from this restaurant. Food was super delicious. The only thing I really resent is being imposed a tip of 15% for being handed a bag w/food ordered AS PICK UP. Am I missing something?I don't think a tip s/b forced on customers when their has been absolutely NO personal service. This WILL definitely deter me from returning.

Comparing this location to their stores in Pasadena & LA just isn't fair. Yang Chow 2.0 is like a greatest hits album of the full menu - but with the speed and pricing to make a competitive bid for your takeout needs. There's like 2 tables inside this store. Do the right thing and order takeout. Everything is fire. If it's got "Slippery" in the title it's delicious. Remember: your order isn't complete until you've added the green beans. Service is unbelievably quick and friendly. Prices are most agreeable for groups ordering a la carte, but the bowl prices fit the budget of any other option in the neighborhood.

When you want yang chow but don't want the full sit down experience yang chow 2.0 it is. Love the Pasadena location and was in the area so decided to try and see how the quick service compared. It did not disappoint everything tasted exactly as the dine in location. Just conveniently packed for leftovers. Flavor and textures were the same. You order at register. Have the option to take out or sit at the few tables inside available. They have some outdoor seating but depends on the weather. The person who took our order was friendly and food came out quick.

I saw a post on TikTok and decided to order Yang Chow fried rice., I like that it had chicken, beef and shrimp., the rice was good but , it wasn't fried. It was similar to a moist rice pilaf. The chicken and beef was tender. There was an abundance of diced chicken and beef but, about 5 smedium shrimp., I'm use to having fried rice brown when served.. The flavor was bland. I really wanted to like it. Service was fast. The restaurant was clean. No other customers were there.

Okay okay ! I'm from Lincoln heights neighbor to Chinatown so I'm very familiar with yang chow & their slippery shrimp ! Been wanting to stop by this 2.0 spot for a while now & finally have !Located in a small plaza along with other restaurants, parking available when I got it but it was pretty packed ! Service was friendly , definitely a take out spot nothing like the Chinatown one which is a restaurant restaurant... lol.Anyways I have to say it's not the same slippery shrimp but it was good & I enjoyed it . The bowl was a nice size for the price . Will definitely be back to try the other items !

We tried the sweet and sour chicken. Noodles and Slippery Tofu. I think the tofu was good. The rest was ok. Noodles had more vegetables than noodles. Chicken was a little dry.

My first time coming here and I happened to be in the area visiting a family member . Food was not seasoned well at all. Broccoli was tough and chewy. The slippery shrimp taste was bland no seasoning to it and soggy and tastes like it was leftovers. Shrimp fried rice was not seasoned and very dry. The original Yang Chow restaurant downtown is much better and fresher. The young lady that worked there was very polite. I would not go back! Very dissatisfied customer!
