Yamas Teriyaki

I love this place, I don't go there a lot, but I try to go there when I'm in the area. Inside and the restroom are clean. It's family owned and the teriyaki sauce is homemade and so very delicious. Owner and everyone there is so friendly and welcoming.I normally get the combination plate (chicken/beef/vegetables) and it never fails to impress. I definitely recommend this place because I really care about customer service and Yamas has it all.

Yamas isn't exactly fast food but it's not dine in either. It's like made to order "fast casual food'" that takes 15 minutes to make. The ribs and beef are clearly the stars--tender enough to make you forget you're eating takeout. The beef here is pretty flava flav and tender, especially cuz you know they ain't using the most expensive cuts. I don't know how they make it so tender. The chicken is consistently over cooked but hey... over cooked chicken is better than undercooked chicken. No one has time for that drama. But today's purpose of my visit was the Tsunami fries that took the internet by storm. I have been going here for years but all of a sudden, Yamas has been flooding my "For You" page like never before. The fries are good. It's a layer of freshly deep fried French fries with lots of cheese, Japanese mayo, teriyaki sauces, onions, with the show stoppers being the ample handfuls of teriyaki beef and chicken. It sent my senses into over drive and I needed a moment to myself as I finished the entire container. The food is good but the vibes aren't it. I wish they would make the inside of the place cute. I would definitely recommend this place but only for fresh, flavorful meals to-go, Yama's has been delivering consistency for years. 4 out of 5 stars--because sometimes, predictable is exactly what you need.

I did my order online from their website. It was easy and I could choose when I wanted my order to be ready. I went to pick my order up and it was ready.I ordered my husband the Yamas Plate and myself the teriyaki chicken plate. Both delicious! Customer service was very limited because I ordered online but she greeted us with a smile.

I finally got around to trying Yamas Teriyaki, a local gem that I've heard so much about, and I'm so glad I did! The avocado added a nice, fresh contrast to the savory chicken and veggies. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made to order. The large plate gave me enough for two meals, so it was definitely a great value! The service was friendly and attentive, and I really appreciated how welcoming the staff was throughout my visit. It's always nice when you feel valued as a customer!Yamas Teriyaki is located in a shopping strip off Beach Blvd, near Target, my favorite Nail Salon, and a car wash, making it super convenient to stop by. I'll definitely be coming back to support this awesome local spot again soon!

It's been a while since I dined here and appreciate that they constantly innovate their menu.This time, I ordered the teriyaki chicken fries. It was a large portion with lots of flavor and delicious sauce.The table has teriyaki, sriracha, soy sauce, chili paste, and a vinegar based hot sauce, if you fancy.The cashier is shy, yet sweet. I love the oldies music too! That's such a nice touch to my experience!

Always great tasty food. Locally owned and friendly ambiance. Service is always good.

Shame on me for not writing a review since May. 2021, but I guess I've been helping Yamas promote their business on social media instead. I didn't realize it was so long since I posted on Yelp.With that said, IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO SWING BY AGAIN if you haven't been here in a few weeks because Chloe has added a WONDERFUL item to her already fantastic menu. It's "onigiris"!!!!! One of my favorite snack items of all time and Chloe has nailed the unique flavors she can now call her own!! My favorite is the "SPAM AND KIM CHI" Not your normal Onigiri flavor, by any means, but WOW!! IT'S DELICIOUS! There are a few additional flavors that I can't even name right now because every time I come in, I can't get past ordering the SPAM AND KIM CHI flavor. There's a spicy sauce that comes with it that just takes this onigiri OVER THE TOP, if you can handle the spice. To me, it's just the right spiciness and, iykyk...the kim chi she uses is her Mom's very own FAMOUS OG homemade Korean version, not to be mistaken with any-old bottled kim chi. It's made FRESH on the premises!! Yesterday, I ate one onigiri before my car backed out of the parking lot. Good thing I ordered two additional plates for dinner: One Salmon plate and one Chicken Salad plate. Both were packed with proteins!! EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS here. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? SMH

My family loves Yamas Teriyaki! When we order from Yamas, it feels like we are ordering food from close friends. Chloe and her staff give the best service and truly make you feel like you are always welcome! When I call to place an order, Chloe always recognizes my voice and I feel like I'm talking with my good friend. You get a lot of great food for your money! I have three sons and believe me, they eat a LOT! We enjoy the California and Crunch rolls along with the beef and chicken combo bowls. I always order the chicken breast plate with brown rice - my personal favorite. And of course we get Mamas kimchi to eat with our meals!The restaurant is always very clean and there is plenty of room to eat! There are seats inside and outside. Very casual and perfect if you are looking for a quick bite to eat!Thank you, Chloe and the entire Yamas staff for always taking great care of us!

The food was so good that I forgot to take a picture before I started. I smashed the combo with chicken and beef over rice with delicious teriyaki sauce. I have to admit, this was probably the best teriyaki I've had in a very long time. I will definitely come back. On another note, the restroom was clean. You could smell that it was cleaned with bleach the restaurant itself is very clean and they are very friendly and nice. good job Yama.
