Been trying to track down this pop-up and kept having schedule clashes, but this time it was held in Montebello at the Blvd Mrkt, just a hop, skip and a jump away from home. After a slight delay setting up, I checked the skewers they were slanging and saw some great selection! Tri tip, pork belly, dark meat, chicken albondiga, bacon and egg and nopal! The pork belly was especially crispy, and tender on the inside. Tri tip was great with any of the sauces! I'm happy to know they will be returning to the Blvd Mrkt Fri, Feb 9th 2024. So I will definitely be back for more! Hang on to my pen, Yakitori Cartel, I will get it from you next time!

Had the Bacon and egg skewer at Smorgasburg. So dang good! Pork belly with cactus kimchi, and some kind of green spicy chili sauce and shaved cured egg yolk on top. I can't handle much spice but I couldn't stop eating. Melty, tender pork belly. Some of the best I've ever had.

They were at The Bruery in Placentia. I got the 2 skewer combo. It says $15 for 2 skewers but if you get anything else besides the dark meat it costs more. It comes with rice and a small salad. The rice and salad were good nothing special. The dark meat was good/average. Just your typical teriyaki chicken. The pork belly with the green spicy sauce was really good. For the price it was def not worth it since I upgraded to a pork belly skewer and the total was $20 plus some change. Portion size was small and it's more of a snack than a full meal. There were 2 people in front of me and it took 10 mins to take their order. Then when I ordered I was told about 20 mins to make. It took closer to 30 mins for the order to be done. One guy taking orders, one guy grilling and the other one not too sure what he was doing.

Excellent food. I recommend the chicken combo with black garlic aioli. Great taste yet feels healthy and is filling.

The food is excellent. I had white chicken skewers with rice and salad and the garlic aioli. The combination of flavors was very good. My friend had pork belly and. dark meat chicken skewers with rice and salad. Prior to this, I never liked pork belly but I tried some and it was great - perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Prices are reasonable especially considering the quality.

The food is fresh, tender and well seasoned. Friendly and efficient service. Will continue to follow to where they are serving!
