I was bummed when Houston's closed its doors at this location but having a Wood Ranch makes up for it slightly. Their Tri-Tip is the best. Eats like a steak and isn't overly sauced. 10oz with two sides for $30 is a fair price nowadays. I love their crispy buffalo cauliflower appetizer and onion strings. Service is always fast and friendly and like Houston's the food comes out quickly. They've updated the seating to allow for larger groups and the lighting is brighter than when it was Houston's. This is always on the rotation of places to go to for a nice, casual lunch or dinner.

This is a fairly new location- decided to check it out.Very nice inside- pretty decent sized restaurant.Service took a while not sure where the servers were but there was a long amount of idle time just sitting and waiting for someone.Food was not good at all - sad to sayMac and cheese was dry and basic, some meats were dry.I just expected more.Will most likely not return- sorry

Looking for scrumptious BBQ and a lively, family-friendly environment. Look no further. Wood Ranch is serving up BBQ dishes that are mouth watering with southern hospitality customer service. Let's jump right into this review. I have been going to Wood Ranch for years, but the closure of their location in the Grove broke my heart. So glad that this new location popped up in Manhattan Beach. Its closer and nicer, it's a win. What we've had? Baby Back Ribs, Mac, Mac, N' Cheese, Smashed Sweet Potatos, Sweet Potato Fries, Rib Tibs & BBQ Chicken Breasts - ALL DELICIOUS! PERIOD. On average price is $20-$26 pp. Kids meal available. Pros1. Food is delicious. Very delicious:)2. Service is great! Always great!3. Ambiance issa a vibe. Beautifully decorated. Plenty of booths and open seating in the restaurant. 4. They bag up your leftovers :)Cons1. Parking lot, although large, it's a shared lot for many other establishments. Parking near the restaurant can be a challenge. I love me some Wood Ranch. I recommend trying this location. You won't be disappointed in your visit.

Best BBQ restaurant around in the Wild Wild West (of South Bay, SoCal area) First time at this location and second time here overall and I can say that this is the restaurant I plan to frequent for birthdays, casual dinners with friends and family, date nights, or any occasion where I want some darn good barbecue. A friend made a reservation and ate here on New Years Day, still a good crowd and lively. Our server was Leslie and she was very attentive with refilling our waters/cokes and replenishing their wonderful garlic rolls. Look at how they glisten with flavor, it's a must have for this restaurant! I ordered the smoked brisket plate with the cherry chipotle sauce on the side. For my two sides I went with baked beans and the Mac and cheese. It's my first time trying their brisket and it was soft, tender, and peppery flavor. Great quality and they do serve their meats until sold out (which has happened in my first Wood Ranch experience). Bursting with flavors and AMAZING quality food. A friend ordered the baby back ribs and I ate some too. The softest ribs around. Next time I come I'll try to share a few plates with family so I get to try all the meats!Now that Wood Ranch Grill is local, I'm only going here from now on. There were some bbq restaurants in the area that have gone up and down in quality from 2000s-2014ish, so this is the best news that I can eat here as often as I want for my BBQ cravings! Tried their chocolate cake dessert with ice cream and candied pecans. Wow. As a chocolate lover I can attest this isn't "pulled out from the fridge and served" but honestly has that true home made feel to it. Wood Ranch has salads and seafood options which may be cool to try, but hands down the BBQ menu is where you want to order from. They do serve smaller portioned meat sizes and sides a la carte, but I had enough leftovers for a lunch/dinner the next day. Great quality food and service, I hope to keep going here for many years to come!!!

The atmosphere was lively and exciting. Fresh good food, lots of flavor a must try place! Love trying new places and this one was new to this area so we decided to try it and glad we did! They serve fresh warm garlic bread ... to die for! Our server was great she was so friendly and super fast in serving us!

We were craving bbq and heard Wood Ranch was pretty decent so decided to give it a try. Unfortunately... the foods were very disappointing. We ordered the two meat combo. Beef ribs and baby back pork ribs and a side of brisket. The brisket were served cold and all fat. The ribs did not have much meat on it and they were all hard to eat. The best thing there were probably the garlic rolls. Service was okay.. you can find better bbq elsewhere

Glad to see a Wood Ranch opened in this area. I'mA fan of the brisket and Natalie Salad. Really wish this one had outdoor seating like the other 2 I frequent. Stopped by for lunch for take out since I had my pup with me. I'll definitely be back again.

I'm so excited that they opened a Wood Ranch in the SB! The restaurant is super classy. I enjoyed dining here and I look forward to coming back again soon.Food 5/5 First off, THE COMPLIMENTARY BREAD. It's so warm and fluffy. I got the tri tip plate which comes with 2 sides. I chose the mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli. In my opinion, the mashed potatoes were just okay. I'd opt for the Mac and cheese next time.Service 5/5 our waitress was nice and friendly. She was always around to check on our table.Ambiance 5/5 Love the vibes. Perfect for a date night or a casual/fancy night out.

An instant new favorite...First time at Wood Ranch Manhattan Beach and I loved it.It's a gorgeous, elegant space with exceptional service and outstanding food.I stopped in for Sunday lunch and enjoyed my visit - a lot. While seated in a comfortable booth with a spacious table, we ordered drinks. I enjoyed my favorite, a El Segundo Brewing Mayberry IPA. My wife had an espresso martini, it was excellent.Garlic rolls were delivered warm right away - so tasty.We shared two dishes: a BBQ Chopped Salad with chicken and a Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries. Both were delicious, beautifully presented and flavorful.Service was attentive and friendly. Halfway through our meal, we were already planning a return visit.Loved Wood Ranch MB - 5 stars.
