Service was basic nothing to fret about Ambiance of location was to be expected I mean we weren't in Hollywood or Woodland Hills we were in Inglewood. I mean ‍ Honestly the prices weren't that bad I'm hoping the food is good :/ following up with that review thoUpdate:Fries were the absolute worst part of the whole meal smh the Fish we ordered Fillet Sole was a 6 out of 10 and the shrimp which is really my overall purpose of trying out this place. The shrimp was overcooked unfortunately but needless to say I ate some of it anyways was quite hungry, didn't finish it tho. But, I'll give the overcooked shrimp 4.5 out of 10. Between the price of my meal, the location and the average 5 out of 10 rating I'll give this place 3 stars it's not terrible it's just not 100%. I always rate a place on if I would ever visit a place again. I would say while it's not on my to do list in the near future it's not a definite NO! So I guess I don't know honestly Ngl I am a bit disappointed about my shrimp tho smh ‍

Here's the issue with the low rating:Called for a pickup order and was told that it would be ready in 20 minutes. When we arrived we were told that there was no record of the order. But he later said he did remember talking to my spouse. Okay?!?Then when we placed the order again while there we were told that it would be more expensive to buy the fish by the piece as opposed to buying a combination plate. This wasn't communicated to us when we placed the phone order. We request that the fish and the shrimp be placed in separate containers and bags due to food allergies. Yep, they placed everything in one bag.The fish was soggy. I remember the original owner and his son. I don't know if they still own the business but I can tell you that things have changed for the worse. Sad.

Honestly. I liked this place but this is ridiculous. There's no way 18.99 plus tax. Get you 4 frog legs and 1 side. I've ordered this before a few time through grub hub or yelp. And I've gotten at least 8 frog legs and a side. For someone whose been coming here for years it's disappointing to have this happen to me. 6oz not even half a pound. And to think this includes bones. Y'all gotta do better.

OOOWEEE this food is good! Visiting from houston, definitely impressed! I got the red snapper with cole slaw & hush yo mouth puppies.

New owners, poor phone service get someone who speaks English and knows the menu and not try to bait and switch your combos and weekly specials with higher prices. Kept me on the phone for twenty minutes and then hung up on me and when I called back they hung up again. I usually place large orders for my Department at LAX Airport, averaging one to two hundred dollars, but will take my business to Fish Town from now on they are honest, the quality of their fish is fresh and they are honest and transparent with their customers. Whitehurst Fish Market you SUCK!!!!

Ya'll I Have Been Wanting Some Good Country Fried Fish!.. And I Thought I Was Gonna Have to Fry It Myself!!... But God!!.. I Ordered Some Sandab from "Whitehurst Fish" on Imperial!... I will NOT Be ordering Fish From No Where Else!... Ya'll That Fish Taste Like My "Big Momma" Lillie Anthony Herself Came Back and Fried It in her Cast Iron Skillet!!.. The Oyster Taste Like They Came Right Out The River!! The Red Beans and Rice, The Greens Like Were as The Kids Say.. Bussin!!! The Tartar Sauce Was Homemade and it was I Am Sold Out On "Whitehurst Fish" If Ya'll ain't tried It! Don't Sleep on it!..The Best Fried Fish I Have Tasted In Yeeeaaarrrss!!

I've ate here before in the past and I remember it used to be so good :/ don't know what happened today but I put in a phone order in for a Lunch Special with Red Snapper and Shrimps. I paid almost $17 and Honestly this was the worst food I've had in a while, My Red Snapper taste old like it had already been siting or fried in old oil, the fries weren't seasoned and the side of Macaroni Salad was horrible. The first bite all I could taste was oil, the best thing were the shrimps Sorry but I will not be coming here anymore.

My favorite fish market close to home. I usually get the red snapper grilled shrimp combo. Their sides are not that great but the fish is good.

They updated their menu. The red snapper was okay I should've got filet of sole or cat fish. Tarter sauce is good & shrimp were good
