You know what you're going for! You're heading into a fish and chip spot for the tasty goods. You want it quickly you want it fresh and large portions. You will get this at Village Inn fish and chips on Stearns Street.The two workers at this spot were friendly, engaging, and ready to serve. I called in my order 15 minutes before arriving and sure enough it was almost ready at the time of my arrival.It was rather inexpensive and I appreciate that. It's nice to know that you can still feed a family for 10+ dollars per person.We ordered nine piece, fish and chips and had one piece left over.This spot is largely a to go spot. The interior is rather modest with a few tables and chairs, mostly for people waiting for their orders.Hot Tip: DIY fish taco or burrito: Order fish only and bring it home along with - purchase elsewhere - super tasty tortillas, pico de gallo, guacamole, and hot sauce. Using their breaded and fried fish as the base for the best ever homemade fish tacos or burrito would be absolutely insane.Nite: This spot is too greasy for frequent consumption however now and then - it's the bom!

My family got an 8 piece fish and chips and some sides as takeout. 8 pieces of fish + chips cost around $ , which is very reasonable for fish and chips nowadays! The fish was very meaty, and the batter was light and crisp and not too oily or overly salted! The fries are on the thicker side and not too salted either. For sides, we got fried zucchini, mushrooms and onions. These were all okay, but the real star here is the fish! Would come back for the fish or to try the fish tacos!

If you have a craving for New England style fish and chips, this is the place to go. Delicious and very tasty, we had the fish and shrimp combo and it was perfect. The coleslaw is a hit too! The service is great and it small but cozy. There's a nice variety on the menu... including fish tacos.

Ordered the three pieces of fish and chips. Looks like the old H Salt Fish and Chips the way the portions look. The establishment overall looks just like it was the same place. Great tartar sauce and vinegar. Solid flavor and reminiscent of the old classic style. I will definitely try more of their menu. Great prices on their daily specials.

Was searching for fish and chips on Yelp and this place came up.So i ordered the 3 piece fish and chips to go. I was a little worried that the pieces would be small. When i got home an opened the bag, i was shocked to see how big these pieces were. Fish was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed that the batter wasnt over powering. Just right. Really good. Honestly i wouldve been good with two pieces. Now im stuffed! I ordered the fries just incase i did not get full with the fish but that wasnt the case here. I didnt eat the fries. Anyway, great tasting fish. Will definitely have to return to try something else on the menu. Another good thing was the price, $13!

My fish n chips came with free dessert on my first visit. I ordered a small order of fish n chips & waited by the doors admiring the collection of campy fishing themed posters & ornaments. A very kind gentleman bought me a bag of donut holes from next door which was nice, the senior population frequents this place so you know it's good if you see this many old people outside of their house just hanging out.The fish n chips are incredible. Besides the nostalgic vibe the food is really good. You might get lucky and get free dessert too!

I ordered the 3 piece fish and chips with fries based on the Yelp reviews. It was good. The people working there were polite and friendly. Parking was tight. Small restaurant with just a few tables.

The Fish and chips are always the way to go! Fish is soft and batter is always crispy. Owners are super sweet too. I go at least once or twice a month !
