I just recently moved to the area and was craving some comfort food. As a Laotian-American, Lao food has not been easy to find growing up other than in the kitchen at home so I was excited to say a Lao restaurant in the area. After reviewing the extensive menu, we ordered the tom yum talay (seafood), pad see eww beef, nam khao (crispy rice salad), thum pa (Lao style papaya salad). All of the dishes we had were super authentic and flavorful! My favorite was the thum pa and tom yum talay. Both had a great mix of sweet, sour, spicy, and umami. Service was super quick and servers were nice. The ambiance inside was very intimate and felt like home. I would highly recommend giving this place a try, especially if you have never tried Lao food. You will not be disappointed.

I never knew this place existed until I stumbled upon it after getting a drink next door. The workers were very friendly and accomodating. Food:- Pad Thai: The pad thai was very flavorful and one of my favorite. I highly recommend getting the pad thai when you're here.- Papaya Salad: I grew up eating papaya salad, so I'm a bit picky when it comes with mine. The papaya salad was okay but I added extra lime to mine and it tasted way better. The workers didn't rush my friend and I. They let us stay and chat even after we were done eating. Overall, the place is a great place to grab food if you're ever in the area.

Man oh man what can I say, this used to my spot for Laos food in LA. I'm from Vegas and I'm a creature of habit. I enjoyed a great musical (BTTF) and before I headed home I want some Laos food. Place the order over the phone, said it was 40 mins, cool.I went to pick it up, the total was $92. WTH. I'm like lemme see my order. 3x Sticky Rice, 2x Sausage, 1 Chicken Larb and 1 Beef Fried Rice. It never used to cost that much. So I took off the Beef Fried Rice, because it wasn't that serious.I went to check my order before I drove off, they forgot my Larb. But the cashier brought it out to me, good looking out.Now the food, sticky rice was sticky. Sausage was on point, which saved it from getting a 1 star. The Larb however was bogus. No spice, when I asked for a 5/10, no flavor, taste like a buncha burnt rice. Damn when did this place became so pricey? It would've been justified if the Larb was good. Someone mentioned Noks Kitchen, so I guess imma go there.Overall, would I come back? Probably not. Sorry.

I have been wanting to dine in at this restaurant for AGES, every single SEA influencer home-cook or foodie has had MANY good things to say about this restaurant and how authentic it is. I am definitely planning on returning to try other Lao/Thai dishes!5/5 - I absolutely LOVED the fried trout served with a side of green mango som tum. The fish was sooo crispy and crunchy, without any fishy after taste. It was an excellent pairing with the fresh som tum (which can be thought of as a relish salad). 4/5 - The beef jerky was thin and easy to chew. It was delicious with the jeow (dipping sauce). 3.5/5 - The Nam Khao was good, but not the best that I've had. I prefer when more individual grains of the crispy rice is more fried, the fermented pork bits to be more sour, and more aromatics. But it is still a very good dish overall. The service is friendly but the restaurant itself is rather small. I can see there being a wait if you try to dine it during a rush hour. The parking lot has a lot of space which is nice!

Found this place on Yelp when looking for Thai food. This was a nice little mom & pop shop we found. Everything we ordered tasted great. We got the jungle papaya salad, crying tiger, crispy fried rice, catfish curry, seafood Tom yum, & a palm juice. There was 5 of us & everything came out to be about $136, each dish was about $15-$30, a bit pricey but it is a small business. Overall, I would recommend this place when you're in the mood for Lao/thai food.

We came here around lunch time on Saturday and there were a few tables left. We decided to order Thai boat noodle, nam kao, and sausage. It's was overall decent. Service was overall fast. Thai boat noodle 3/5: this tasted more like beef noodles and not quite boat noodle. As such, I lowered the rating since it wasn't what I was expecting. Boat noodle usually has a darker and richer broth from pork blood. The broth also has a lot of either morning glory or basil and it was a little overpowering. But overall it was decent. Really big potions too. Nam Kao 3/5: pretty average Nam Kao. Can't really go wrong with it. Nice crispy pieces of rice and little bits of fermented sausage. Sausage: 3/5: pretty average as well. Lots of lemongrass. The sausage itself is not spicy but it does come with a sour garlic pepper sauce. The sausage is a little on the dry side. Pretty decent/average place. Really reasonable in terms price though!

We have not been back to this restaurant for a while. Not sure if any changes to the cook. We ordered a few items of our favorite dishes, and they did not taste the same. The crunchy rice tasted different, and the spicy clams were so tiny mostly just the shells. We probably won't be back any time soon.

Parking: Free parking. They're located in a busy plaza, but I noticed people are always going in and out. So parking can somewhat be easy to find.Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with limited seating. We came in @17:30, and we just missed the dinner rush. It started getting busy closer to @18:00. You can either dine in or order take out.Service: Everyone was courteous, but special shout out to our server Ethan! He took great care of us. I will say we did wait a while for our orders. We waited approximately 35 minutes for our food.Food & drinks: They have a large menu filled with traditional Lao and Thai dishes.1) Pho Lao - Lao original rice noodle soup with beef balls, sliced beef, green onion, cilantro, and bean sprouts. This was my first time trying Lao pho, and it did not disappoint! They only offer one size, and I'd consider it a large bowl. The broth was very delicious, generous amount of meat, and lots of noodles. I'd prefer less toppings of yellow onion, but I really enjoyed this dish. 4/52) Rad Na - Fried rice noodle, topped with beef gravy, made of Chinese vegetables and chicken. The chicken and Chinese broccoli were cooked well. Everything was drenched in the beef gravy. The beef gravy was too salty for me, but everything else was good. 3.5/53) Nam Kao Tod - Crispy fried rice. You can tell which pieces were fried on the outside and which were on the inside. The outside pieces of the rice were definitely crispy. Fair warning, you might get some pieces stuck to your teeth lol. I really enjoyed this basic rice dish. 4/54) Thai Tea - Really refreshing. You can see the layers of tea and creamer. I believe the ratio is 50% tea and 50% creamer. It wasn't too sweet, but I'd prefer the tea flavor would be stronger. 4/55) Green Thai Tea - This was also refreshing. The green tea flavor definitely came through. It wasn't too sweet either and perfect amount of creamer. 4/5Pricing: Prices are $$$ which is basically the average price now. Our total came out to $68.19 (tip included). I'd say it's worth it. We enjoyed our dishes and service was great.

I was in the area and saw people waiting, so figured it must be good. I ordered takeout and the young boy who took my order was very helpful and very nice in explaining their most popular items. He was also good in setting expectations letting me know that it was really busy and would take 30 to 45 minutes. It did take 45 minutes but I wasn't bothered since he gave me a heads up, I was able to get a drink at a place nearby that I wanted to try.Crispy fried rice: This was pretty good and had a lime flavor to it. I really enjoyed the crispy pieces and the flavor.Sausage: I don't know if this is how it's supposed to be cooked, but it looked severely burnt. I tried two pieces and it was very salty, very dry, and burnt. I had to throw the rest away.Papaya salad with crab: What did I do to deserve this? It was the most horrific dead fish odor smacking me when I opened the container. I thought maybe this was like the durian where it smells awful but allegedly tastes amazing so I force myself to eat it and nope it tasted like everything in the ocean died, I spit it out and threw it away.I assume they were in a rush and overwhelmed by the busyness because I don't know how the place could be so busy if this is what their food normally taste like.

They have a great selection of Laotian and Thai food combined here. The portion is great for family style, as they are bigger in serving dishes. Each dish is packed full of flavors, consistency and spices.
