I celebrated my birthday a week ago at Verdugos! I live in Las Vegas and have read so many amazing reviews regarding their service, food & vibe! So headed to Calie for my celebration! Upon arriving there was easy parking (that's already a plus!) as we walked up front to enter there was a cute lil upfront patio set up. Walking into the entrance we were automatically greeted by the host and sat rather quickly. We were sat handed menus and drink menus, I ordered a couple of their significant drinks (polma & Downey girl) which was DELICIOUS! We ordered the garlic rice and shrimp which was AMAZING & their NY steak! The steak was cooked perfectly and the taste was to DIE for! The owner I believe his name is Ralph came and checked on us to make sure we were being taken care of which I felt he went the extra mile ! Anyone who is in the LA area Downey & surrounding cities definitely stop by , you won't be disappointed. We will be returning !

The food & cocktail: delicious 10/10. Our table ordered filet mignon, NY steak, Ribeye and Verdugo's Special Salad. You need to add sides (only small steaks get mash potatoes). But we added Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes. All of that made such a flavor combo I will be dreaming about for a long time. My New York steak was perfection. Oh yeah and the Rock Shrimp was so good; delish sauce on top. 4.5/5 only because it was Valentine's Day and they didn't have the porterhouse I wanted or the bone-in ribeye my hubby wanted. And our reservations were really early in the night. But it worked out just fine.

Went for our anniversary, great choice and def recommend. Ambiance - Wasn't exactly sexy, felt very meh. Wasn't like LKSD or Diosa where you walk in and feel special. Service A+. Waitress was solo and made drinks, cleared tables, and served food for a few tables and didn't miss a beat. Food - Brussels sprouts were a hit, bit my tongue they were so good. Calamari was great. Wife ordered some big Cali flower dish which was dry as hell, avoid. Rib eye steaks were alright, portions were filling and tasted ok. My medium rare was more cooked than I'd like. Truffle fries weren't as good as I was hoping, but we cleared the plate so they weren't bad....just not wow. I could've just ate sides and apps and skipped the steak tbh. I'd def come back. It's a strong option but wasn't the wow factor I was hoping for.

This establishment used to be Marie calendars. The boy is out of the hospital so off to eat steak we go! It is a weekday around 530 pm and only one other couple here. Boy had the filet mignon it does not come with any sides which is perfect for him. He was so animated when he had the first bite. His exact words" what!!? It's so juicy and perfectly seasoned. I had a bite and yes he was not exaggerating That was a good quality great tasting piece of meat. I ordered a shrimp cocktail for myself which hit the spot. It had some nice heat to it. So nice to see a smile on my boys face while he's eating away. I will be back. Maybe I'll bring my flash light with me next time ha! It's a nice romantic vibe but I can't see!

I wouldn't expect this place is around for much longer. Only 1 person working the whole floor/bar and while she was very nice and friendly, the food was subpar for the price. Drinks didn't taste good either, but what could be expected when there is no bartender. I felt like I was eating in a ghost town.

The food was all very very good. The loaded lobster potatoes were the only dish lacking a bit of flavor. The steak cooked medium well was D-licious! The roasted brussel sprouts were the first thing to go they were so good. Haven't had an old fashioned that good in a long time. Came for dinner on a Friday night and there was plenty of seating. Definitely give this place a try I know I will again.

Just passing by to recommend VERDUGOS MEAT SALADS & DESSERT . I really loved the ambiance, algo tranquilo. If you feel like having a great dinner with either your husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, friend well this is the place .You are able to have a conversation without screaming at each other. What I order was Rib eye steak with a side of lobster loaded with potatoes, omg it was deliciousGIVE THEM A TRYFRIENDAANDDD LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ;)

My husband and I came here to verdugo's for our anniversary. We made reservations they seated us on time. They start with a great bread with a really good sauce. I had a filet and my husband had bone in ribeye. The steaks were delicious, truffle fries en just fries garlic mashed potatoes good. Service excellent memo was our server he was great, friendly and attentive. We will be back thanks guys

Came in on a Wednesday for lunch, it was pretty empty considering the time but our waitress was so sweet and helpful! I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while since I live nearby and heard good reviews. We were not disappointed! The louis jacot was amazing if you like sweeter white wine! We ordered the filet mignon and bone-in ribeye steak with a side order of their mac & cheese and loaded lobster mashed potatoes. It was absolutely perfect- they were not stingy with the lobster on the mashed potatoes and their blue cheese dip for the steak was amazing! Both the steaks were tender and cooked to perfection! We also ordered their cafe de olla and tiramisu for dessert- both really good as well, and authentic cafe de olla! I hope to come back for their Frank Sinatra night one of these weekends, restaurant was clean, service was great, and food was delicious!
