Great place to get your vegan vibe on.Things here are NOT cheap so prepare to spend some money.Dumplings run up to $25 just for 3 pieces... which is pretty absurd...Lots of tents/booths selling fan fare, t shirts, candles, soaps etc. Definitely come thru and check it out at least once, especially if you're already in the area!

Arrived around 4 pm, and man was it hard to find parking, and make your way through a crowd. This was worse than Disneyland in peak season, seriously! Lol kids running wildly, I'm thinking their parents dropped them off and left. Also if you should know it was, Shoulder to shoulder rubbing with strangers. Long long long lines around and hour in. Curious if the crowd died down later in the night ? Since it was 4-10pmThe free music was fun, and set the mood. I love that healthy junk promotes wellness for all. What a fun market faire type of event! A lot of vendors from previous years and photos were NOT here. Since this was my first year attending I was specifically looking for a few that looks delicious with hopes let down. Supposedly some of them come from Nor Cal and other places. I do really appreciate all of the vendors being pretty friendly, and most of all vegan.Prices were okay, the dip dots soy icecream was very overpriced. Pizza slices were also up the wazoo. Ended up eating inside of healthy junk per usual. Thought they'd have more than brauts outside, was hoping for some creative dishes...Overall; worth it if you're okay with crowds, little seating a lot of standing. Hot sun, but plenty of options to cool down with drinks or indoor places to eat at instead on the downtown area. This was a fun way to try new places though, and just a very cool event !

While the Meateater BF is away, the Vegan goes out to play! Vegan Faire was the perfect excuse to spend some much needed girl-time with long-time-vegetarian-turned-recent-vegan friend :)Although this event would've received 5-stars from me if the restroom situation was much better. A single stall bathroom for each gender in the parking garage and one extra porta potty is not gonna cut it. Surprisingly, the wait time was only 10 minutes considering the amount of people that attended this event. In fact, across the board I discovered that the food lines were not as bad as I've experienced at other vegan events I've attended. This is my fourth FREE vegan event in the past four months and Vegan Faire definitely had the shortest lines.Last year's Vegan Faire lines were way worse than this year. Last year I only got to experience the following food vendors:- Jackfruit Tacos from Plant Food For People http://bit.ly/2aUVMVF- Banh Mi Falafel & Garlic Fries from Falasophy http://bit.ly/2aFD4Dx- Vegan Ice Cream from Divine Dips http://bit.ly/2arFJhoThis year, I got to check out:- Mango Chili Lime Agua Fresca from Calafia Farms http://bit.ly/2aDxD8E- Crabless Cakes from Gardein http://bit.ly/2arGAP0- Jalapeño Cilantro Lime Kombucha from Fermensch http://bit.ly/2akkUFp- Just Crumbs by Kelly's Croutons http://bit.ly/2aJFwqU- Vegan Clamless Chowder from TGI Vegan http://bit.ly/2aBxDEx- Deviled Vegan Egg from Jaycelab http://bit.ly/2aHDt9L- Causa Rellena from Jaycelab http://bit.ly/2aFDWYQ- Matcha Green Tea Blondie by Charlie's Brownies http://bit.ly/2aDx1A3- Vegan Dots http://bit.ly/2aBxDV9- Corn Dog from Vegan Pizza http://bit.ly/2arH47O- CuppyCake Kabobs from Baby Love Sweetery http://bit.ly/2aapad2My friend scored the very last Causa Rellena at Jaycelab. When she picked it up, the tower of potatoes, vegan chicken salad, soft boiled vegan egg and avocado caught the attention of several onlookers. Many approached her with "OMG, what is that!?!" to which she responded "sorry, this was the last one." Here's how awesomely-awesome my friend is. She offered bites of the dish to those onlookers. Such a generous heart :)Parking is easy peasy. There are two parking structures and a shopping plaza with additional lot nearby. I also love that the event starts in the late afternoon so that the weather starts to cool in the early evening. There's also tall buildings that provide lots of shade. Fairly easy to find a spot to sit and eat as well which is another surprise.Looking forward to next year! :)

I've been coming to Vegan Faire since the beginning. It's nice to see so many people interested in plant-based victuals and other products, but the downside of that is the huge crowd and ridiculous wait times. We parked in the municipal garage next to the police station (just a couple of blocks east of the event) because there was no getting near the garage behind the Promenade. We certainly appreciated the variety of food that was on sale at the Faire, but once we decided upon a place to try, we wound up waiting an hour to place our order and another hour for it to be ready.Oh, yeah, don't get me started on the bathroom lines. Three Port-O-Potties? Really?Healthy Junk, if you're reading this, may I make a friendly suggestion? Take advantage of your huge success and hold the Faire at a location that can accommodate more vendors and attendees. You know better than I do how veganism is becoming more mainstream. Eat Drink Vegan started in a little parking lot, and it's now held at the Rose Bowl! Don't you want to reach more people? I think you're ready for the big time.If you decide to come, my advice is to get there really early or really late to avoid the lines. Take advantage of the bathrooms at Vons right off W. Oak Street (behind the Promenade).Come on, Healthy Junk. I know you're better than this. You have a great opportunity here. Please don't blow it.

This was my first time going, and it was pretty fun to see how much you can do with soy lol. It's a night market style layout with several vendors and a live band. No entry fee, and there is validated parking in the structure. In order to get validated, you have to take your ticket to Healthy Junk and have them stamp it. My favorites were vegan jerky, "chicken" wings, and vegan croutons. I also tried an acai bowl, which was average. A nice place to hangout, but it's a bit crowded in terms of lines and parking. Probably not as bad as other concurrent events like OC fair.

First time coming here (came from central California) and was overjoyed to see so many vegans and vegan curious people attending. I also enjoyed the event layout and variety of vegan food available.

I'm not a fan of Healthy Junk anymore, but I needed to check out their Vegan Faire. I was mainly interested in the food vendors and I was very impressed by the number of options there. A lot of them offered free samples too.Our first stop was at Clean South. The line was really long but it was worth trying. I got the combo with buffalo wings, mac and cheese and potato salad ($15). I wasn't impressed by the mac and cheese but everything else was great. Next, we stopped at Good Town Doughnuts and picked up the box of mini donuts ($12), which was delicious. Our last stop was at The Naughty Cookie. They have the BEST vegan cookies that I have ever tried. We got the chocolate chip cookie and s'mores cookie ($7).I'm already looking forward to next year. Hope to see even more food vendors.Tip: come early for free parking. Parking spots were almost all filled up at the start of the event.

Highly rewarding. I now commend Yelp for listing events. The faire was in City Center Anaheim, lined by beautiful classic buildings, shops, and eateries. Although Vegan "One Love" was the theme, this faire not only offered an education about Vegan food, but it was also attended by a variety of people. Yippies, Vegan Indians and Asians, and basically every race who appreciates Vegan food. Reggae music filled the air. People danced. Hand-made crafts were sold that supported leather options like backpacks from Paris made from faux leather to jewelry made from bicycle parts and pants made from recycled plastic bottles that felt like stretchy cotton. Look into other events sponsored by this group. Orange County has a thriving egalitarian community of world conscious people. It really felt like there was "One Love" in the air!

We are arrives at 3:30 for a 4 o'clock start to this fair... It was the best decision ever. It was so easy to drive around and find parking. A couple of hours later when he went back to our car, the traffic situation was so bad, I don't know how anybody found parking. I wish there were a few more road signs to direct us to free parking. Inside the fair, the food variety was tremendous! As always, it's a little pricey, but very unique eating experiences. Most of the vendors except credit card which is great. I'm not from around here so this is just a day trip for me. But I imagine that if you are from the area this would be a really fun annual trip.
