Valentino’s Pizza

So this place has been around for years I came here as a kid and on occasion still do. I was with my sister and she wanted Wienerschnitzel and there was a line so I hoped out of the car and ran in for some wings. Overall the flame was there just not the crunch . The store front has changed over time but always seems to be clean.

First time here, staff was friendly. I ordered 2 pizzas (sausage on 1st-Canadian Bacon on 2nd) n a lasagna dinner. There was a strange and unpleasant taste in the back of my throat with both pizzas. Like the meat was old. The lasagna was mostly sauce, very little pasta and even less meat. Nice small entry way to receive your order and a table outside to sit at.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They are shady as hell and lied about calling us back. I ordered a pizza and was not called as was instructed on my order when I placed it. Pizza was not delivered until I called the store and complained. Manager was extremely rude to me when she finally delivered it and also to my husband when he called. Also, they claimed they called us 4x, yet our call log shows ZERO missed calls. This is 2024, that just does not happen.Do not order from this place. Avoid!!

Terrible Pizza, you have to be drunk to enjoy it. That's why their ass is next to a saloon. Terrible go to Big E's in Long Beach. There is a better Valentino's in Long Beach too.

Usually I just order pizza (it's so good) but today I also ordered a Pastrami sandwich and opened it up, literally looks so sad hardly pastrami in it and all pickles and bread. Called thinking either I would get a refund if I was able to take this back or maybe a new sandwich but there is nothing that can be done I'm told. I wish I would have known before ordering a sandwich I will never do this again from now on ONLY pizza

I'd give it more 3.5, but I'll round up because they at least read the orders through the Slice app.I've ordered here multiple times and the order is always correct, even when I have to add a note to get the order correct. It also shows up Ina reasonable amount of time.The issue with the Slice app is, they don't allow you to order a cheese pizza with any of the combos. So I'll order a pepperoni and ask for them to leave it off and make it just cheese. And they do. Many places do not bother to read the special requests so that goes a long way to me.There are a couple issues, though. They so skimp on toppings, especially pastrami. If you're paying $23 for a pizza that has only pastrami and pickles on it, you can't go so light on the pastrami. I usually debate on even ordering it because it's a disappointment but I like to have options for everyone(usually only order for groups). Also, when ordering the Antipasto salad, the menu says it comes with Mozzarella cheese. It doesn't. It's parmesan cheese. And a lot of it! It's a good 1/2" covering of parmesan over the entire salad. It's cool they give you plenty, but its impossible to remove all of it, and it ruins the salad. First time we ordered it, we thought they made a mistake. The 2nd time we did, we realized they've just messed up on the menu. We also had a friend who lives closer thats ordered it, and they say the same thing. Two years later, the menu hasn't been corrected and it still comes with Parm. We just ask for no cheese now, which they accurately prepare it. But it's a disappointment that theres no actual mozz on it. The other one is the breadsticks. They're good, but the price of 6 for $5 is a bit steep. Almost $1 per breadstick is a bit much. Most places you get 8-12 bread sticks for a similar price. It's solid pizza. Nothing amazing but they accurately prepare your order. For birthday parties or big group of people, it's a good place to order from.

I have been coming to Valentino's Pizza for a while now, and it has always been a decent choice. First, the pizza is moderately priced, which is hard to find anywhere else these days, and the quality of the pizza fits amazingly well with what you pay for. The crust is crispy and fine, the sauce has flavor, and the toppings are ample but not overdone. Nothing fancy, but if you are after a great pizza at an even greater price, then this place is worth trying.

It was a Sunday night and we usually order take out and decided on pizza for dinner , we were near the area and placed an order for valentinos , our first time and definitely our last , we ordered a small meat lovers and 20 buffalo wings , $48 , I was surprised when our food was ready before pick up time but not surprised when we ate our food and it was nasty , the pizza dough was raw , Buffalo wings were soggy and didn't taste edible , and on top of that , we got packaged ranch , my family didn't enjoy dinner and we were still hungry , it was like they didn't take their time to cook our food properly which is sad because for the price of food these days we got served trash .

We only come here to pick up cheese pizza to go for my teenager. Pizza is hot, fresh, and ready for pick up in 10-15 minutes. It easily satisfies an adolescent's taste buds and appetite. I'll occasionally partake of the simple crust/sauce/cheese combination and it hits the spot. It takes you back to the very basic joy of cheese pizza you had as a child or teen or college student when you didn't require your pizza to have a little spice or a vegetarian protein option or a pesto drizzle. Sometimes simple things are priceless.

The food is alright nothing really out of this world, service is great and the prices aren't crazy high like other establishments.
