My bf and I have been on a Ramen kick and this was close to his house. The place has another side I did not know was there until we got seated where they have their bar. We both ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen, but I got mine with chicken. We usually share extra noodles but when I saw that they had an option to make it Sumo size which is double the broth, and double the noodles, we each said WHY NOT. When it first came out we couldn't stop laughing at how big the bowl was. We didn't think we would finish it. But at the end we were both fishing for more noodles. The ramen itself was a 7/10. It was good but I've definitely had better. Service was super quick and I love that someone brought us water right away.

FOOD: 1/5Ordered the Tonkotsu and Spicy Miso Ramen, our usual order at any ramen place. We were pleasantly surprised with the big portion sizes but the broth barely had any flavor. Very watery too. I had asked for firm noodles on the Tonkotsu and they ended up being slimy. I should have taken this as a sign to say something to our waiter but I kept eating. *20 minutes later* I had become sick and couldn't each much the rest of the day. My dad also got sick later that day from eating the Spicy Miso. SERVICE: 3/5Wait staff were very nice and checked in frequently. Our main waiter had even cracked a couple of jokes which is always nice. I took points off because of my phone call with the manager after I told him about getting sick. He said he was deeply sorry but no one else had gotten sick and that all of their ingredients are top notch.VIBES: 3/5The restaurant was clean in terms of cleared tables and floors. They also had a balanced playlist playing but the restaurant had an old mop smell to it.

Dining at Umaya is always a pleasant and delicious experience, and I'm grateful I've been a casual patron of theirs for the past couple of years. I typically get the spicy miso ramen, but I tried the beef udon during my last visit and it was just as spectacular! My boyfriend and I also shared the loaded fries, which had excellent flavor, toppings, and crispiness. We both ate way too much. Our server, Nick, was so friendly and personable! He had helped us before at the bar and both times he has been excellent. In fact, all of the staff we greeted and interacted with were so kind and ready to help. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience, Umaya team.

I tried a few different items this time, the Umaya ramen, katsu curry, and kalbi tostadas. The ramen was very good, especially the broth, but it had too many green onions. The katsu was not great, too thick and the sauce was just ok. The kalbi tostadas were very tasty. It has a little kick which I like. I also tried the yuzu ginger mule. I recommend it. It's very refreshing and had just the right amount of tang.

Ramen was good in terms of flavor and quantity. Not the best ramen, but it'll do the job if you're craving it. Pork belly oshi was delicious, stole the spotlight. Chicken karaage was not as high quality as i would've enjoyed them. They just felt like frozen food to me... however service was kind and attentive. Happened to dine in before the rush so it was nice. Plenty of seating and a side bar section.

Still amazing! I first came here 2 years ago with our group of friends and I like it since then. My girl and I came back here again this week and still great as I remembered. The ambiance is still the same.. with the Tokyo vibes going on. Their services are always good and accommodating. The food still hits the spot :) I ordered their Tonkatsu Black, which our server explained the difference between a regular Tonkatsu. He said it's they use a different sesame oil or charcoaled of some sort. I can taste difference and I like it. The meat is so tender and the noodles are cooked to perfection. We then ordered a big Sapporo bottle to quenched our taste buds. My girl like it as well and we had a fun time in our mini date night. Overall, this is a solid place to be to get some ramen.. definitely one of my go-to spots :)

One of my favorite eats in Cerritos, Umaya Ramen provides a welcoming, trendy atmosphere centered on delicious ramen selections and various bar fare with a Japanese touch. The service is always good and the staff is very hospitable. Always look forward to eating at Umaya, thank you!

With the multitude of Ramen places in this area and surrounding areas, I'm going to be honest and say this one doesn't necessarily stand-out above others. But for some reason, I could also see myself returning here on a regular basis mainly for the simplicity and affordable pricing of their menu. They offer a Chicken Ramen which I love because I prefer the lighter broth, and here, it's that, but also flavorful. They offer reasonable sized, juicy chicken pieces, a nice flavored half egg, chewy noodles, green onions etc. It's a satisfying meal. They have the normal Tonkatsu Ramen, Tsukemen, and others that are solidly good options. Things to skip, their matcha drink. I didn't love that. The service was friendly and they checked on us a number of times without being invasive.

Average ramen with soggy think cut bacon. Broth was delicious, noodles were al dente. Would I recommend it? Maybe.

Service: the service was great, the guy who took care of us was very fast, attentive and constantly checked on us, he also gave us recommendations. Food: I will give the food 3/5 the broth was really good but the noodles were okay, the gyoza and the sauce it came with were also good. Ambiance: Ambience was nice, there was music not very loud and good music. There is also a big tv and we were paying attention to the movie! Girlfriend note: we had Umaya, tonkutsu black :) pretty good Deep fried gyoza good.
