Turnbull's Tavern

Found this place on yelp for dog friendly restaurants and am glad I did! We have a baby chihuahua and I was in need of a beer and burger after her vaccines. The service was great! She was very attentive and friendly! My partner and I devoured the burgers and they were worth it! Hefty size patties with a bacon jam- washed it down with an ipa!

Turnbull's really embodies what it means to be in Whittier. It's a nice little dance bar that sometimes gets too crowded with "middle of the spectrum" to older Millennials. Also a solid sprinkling of Generation X will be here regularly.Drink prices are fair and the music is usually good. The location is in the heart of Uptown Whittier which is like a catch-22. It's where everything's happening in the city, but the city itself isn't the best for "happening" due to freeway access and accessibility in general. That's not Turnbull's fault, necessarily, but just makes it harder for non-locals to venture out and land here.Convenient for me though!

Amazing food.Great service. Big screens are perfect for a game. But the AC was not working and made it unbearable with our summer heat

The food here is always good ! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The atmosphere is casual and service is always friendly .

The music was litty over here! We were bar hoping and decided to give them a try. We walked in, found a table and had a few drinks. Let me give the front door guy an amazing shout out!! THANK YOU FOR LETTING US BRING OUR FOOD IN AND HOLDING IT AT THE DOOR!!! Its those little things that go a long long way with customer service. We appreciate you!! The drinks were made good and the music was legit 90s and we loved every second of it. Downfall, only 1 restroom for girls and boys! Its tough trying to wait in line when a bunch of girls or guys are already waiting.... That was my only real complaint... But other than that, this bar legit was cool... We shall be back and thank you for having us!

AMAZING DRINKS, VIBE and met several folks here that had bad experiences at Flashbackz ! We started off at Flashbackz , but after poor customer service and making us pay for a drink we didn't touch due to low balling liquor integrity we decided to leave the spot and come over next door. We look forward to coming back with friends and family! The DJ had an amazing playlist and can read the crowd very well ! The bartenders are sweet. Our mixologist Desiree was beyond amazing. Thank you to Ignacio and the young lady as they helped us get an order in. That's going above and beyond to ensure your guests are being taken care of. Scenario - One of the waitresses advised to close my bar tab so she can place my order and when I got back she said the kitchen was closed and I couldn't order. She might have been new, not sure. I tapped the young lady to ask what time the kitchen closed and that's when she got up and advised the waitress to take our order. We got the pretzel bread with cheese sauce. DELICIOUS When you have a place that has good vibes, food and music you don't mind spending because what you get in return is AN EPIC NIGHT! Support this local business

Cobb Salad delicious! Very well prepared and a really good size for a big eater. The real deal is the WINGS! The tray has 9 big and juicy FRESH chicken wings. No frozen fakers here. We had buffalo Asian Chili and Barbeque flavors. I'm looking forward to the next visit. The only nick that cost them the fifth star was the floor needed a lot more love. Kind of sticky and gross. The men's room needs a refit as well.

The Ambiance is popping here. They have a DJ on Friday nights and he's playing all the good hits. The drinks were good started with a whiskey sour (forgot to take a picture) and ended with a pacifico michelada. Also tried the tiki drink but it was too sweet for my liking. The wings were good and super meaty. The turnbull burger was ok but was too much with the barbecue and special sauce. Also tried the steak on the chips, which was not the best. The service was great, our server kept coming to check on us and did a good job of keeping us well served despite us being a part of 8. There's only one bathroom stall, which makes it hard in a bar where everyone is trying to get in to the bathroom

Great place to watch a sporting event. Food is good and the atmosphere is great. The service is top notch. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

We were originally headed to the establishment next door but they had a line that wasn't moving (9pm) and Turnbull's had open tables on the patio so we decided to give it a go. The patio got filled up quite quickly after we sat down so good thing we snagged a table when we did. We didn't try the food, but it looked promising.
