My husband and I went to try this place for some good Mexican bread and we got some very good items. The turnovers, apple, pineapple and pumpkin were all very good. The concha was delicious too. Everything tasted fresh. It was interesting that they had many pans of the same type if items so wasn't sure if they all were fresh or some were older. Hard to tell. The only thing that disappointed us were the elephant ears. Those are our favorites. They were a bit dry. Like I said, we say more than one tray of these so maybe we were given the old ones? Anyway, we would go back and try them again and taste some other ones that we didn't get that day.

There pan dulce is awesome and is not hard as a rock the following day. The owner said he mixes his dough with milk and not water like other bakeries which helps keep the bread fluffy. The Cuernos are huge compared to the Mexican markets and prices are very reasonable! I purchased 6 huge cuernos, 4 apple pies and 3 chocolate conchas for only $12.00. If you are in San Pedro I highly recommend stopping here for some tasty and fresh pan dulce!

This shop is a simple treasure. They are very authentic to the small neighborhood bakeries I remember when visiting Mexico ... except they didn't have the silver trays and tongs to choose your own pastry. They have a deli counter and you pick what you want. They have the best sweet empanada selection I've seen (apple, pumpkin, custard, pineapple-my favorite), also conchas, Ojo de buey, (raspberry coconut swirl), etc. all the traditional stuff. Take the bread home or to-go because it will be GREAT with your favorite Mex hot chocolate, coffee or tea (sorry, but I didnt get any drink here) . The staff is friendly. I got the fresh bread and took it to my 80 year old parents and we loved loved loved the pan dulce. It is off of Pacific on 2nd. If find yourself in or near San Pedro and you are NOT on a low carb diet (or if you have a cheat day), you really should come here!

Every now and then, when I was a kid, my parents would take us to get Mexican bread. There was always one shop they'd go to in San Pedro. I can't really remember if this is the one they'd go to buy it but it does look like it, as does the street it's on. Lately, I've been craving some Pan Dulce. Specifically the little piggies. I got two and just ate one this morning. For two it was $1.20. They are as delicious as I can remember. I'd definitely come back here, they have a pretty good selection of Pan Dulce!

Extremely overpriced pan dulce. The quality doesn't justify the price. Nothing special here. $1.25 to $2.00 a piece head to Tropicana a block down on 2nd for better quality taste and price. Save your money.

There aren't any hours listed, so I asked. They open at 5:30 AM. The prices are amazing and everything is delicious. My favorite is those cones filled with the custard. I'm going to call them unicorn horns. You'll know what I'm talking about when you go. I got two unicorn horns, five small conchas and four thee-color cookies and it only cost $5. So worth it. Can't wait to go back.

This authentic Mexican bakery is a hidden gem. The pan de Muertos was delicious and so was the Mexican sweet bread. The owner was sweet and helpful.

This is an active bakery who is selling their equipment noeq.on FB marketplace These pics are from 9/14/23. One day ago. And this is how gross and filthy this place is while baking and serving. The mixer is corrected and the whole place is disgusting and should have been shut down a long time ago.

There was a fly in the bread cabinet. It was dirty and unkept. Very disappointed. I was looking forward to some "pan" and needed bread for my alter. Had to walk out with nothing.
