Nice mom and pop shop. I picked up six spice packets to try. I was a bit rushed for time and couldn't browse as long as I wanted but I'll definitely be back if the spices works out and look to get some bread next time. For the six spice packets the total came to about $16 and change.

I had walked by this small neighborhood market many times and noticed the sign for deli sandwiches, so today I decided on a hot roast beef for lunch. It's a small, quaint Mediterranean international market with an interesting inventory. The proprietor was very friendly, the shop has a great local vibe.My sandwich was thickly stuffed with tender, sliced roast beef, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard on a tasty, soft roll. The large sandwich at $8.99 is easily big enough to share. Now that I've found this local gem, it will be a regular lunch stop for me when I'm in Redondo.

Torrance Food Crawl #278The Torrance Mini Market and Deli has been around for about 20 years. It's almost impossible to see from nearby Torrance and Hawthorne Blvds. It's located in the northeast corner of Torrance and Hawthorne in the building behind the Union 76 station. This is the type of small market that I like, offering a wide range of international products not found in your local big box corporate supermarket. The foods here will be familiar if you're looking for Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Egyptian, Indian, or Pakistani items. I came in here to check out their sandwiches but ended up doing some shopping and selecting a couple of other items. There's a deli counter in the back of the market which is where sandwiches are made. There are eight different sandwiches offered, ranging in price from $4.99 to $5.49. I ordered a Ham and Cheese sandwich which is made up like a classic ham & cheese. The meats and cheeses are not precut - they are sliced to order from meats and cheeses stored in the deli case. The bread is a large white role, cut into halves. Everything was very fresh. Its a good sandwich, filling, and very well priced. The sandwiches are packed to go. There are a couple of small tables outside where you can eat if you choose to so. Since this is a market a bag for your items will cost you a dime unless of course you've brought your own bag or want to play the balancing game as you leave.

Why doesn't this great little market have more reviews???Small but comprehensively stocked. Spotless, well-organized, and obviously doted on with great pride by the owners. If I lived nearby I'd be here constantly for spices, fresh cheeses, sauces, olives, and exotic dinner ingredients. Just walking the aisles put me in the mood to try cooking something new and exciting. And if I worked nearby I'd be here often for their well-priced, made-to-order deli sandwiches. The pictures I uploaded speak a thousand words so I'll just keep this brief: For Middle-Eastern/Mediterranean spices, canned/jarred goods, and other things that you will NOT find at Vons, come check this place out. These are the kinds of small businesses that we should be supporting.

Don't let the location behind the gas station scare you! Don't assume the small location doesn't have everything middle eastern you're looking for!! They will even cater specific foods, see the pic I posted! Just give them 3 days notice before you need the cooked foods. They have fresh frozen rabbit and duck (specialty items) in the freezer section. They also have frozen Egyptian style falafel!! Just thaw it and fry it. Their deli has amazing fresh cheeses, torshi and deli meats. Check this place out and support small businesses. You won't regret it.

Solid little international market with a focus on middle eastern products. Has the basics and a wide selection of spices, drinks and cheeses. Prices were right and the service was great. Answered my questions and was patient and explained what I needed. I asked him if he had Schweppes bitter lemon, he stated he didn't but will ask his supplier about it. Will hit this place when I need a few things special for dinner.

This mini mart has world class service! I've been going around the world to look for these kahk Egyptian cookies, which were introduced to me a while ago. I didn't realize they had to be ordered in advanced and Tess, the front guy, told me he'll save me a box. And when those infamous cookies arrived, he called me twice! I'm not sure why my phone didn't go off when he called but thankfully he saved me a box! And guess what!! The taste is exactly how I remembered, perfect cookies! I will request the ones with nuts next time. THANK YOU so much Tess! I wish I can give you more stars!
