Throwdown Soulfood

Amazing food!! Had the chicken, rice yams and macaroni, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection and tender NOT dry! omg!!! The cornbread was also amazing!!! I had leftovers for almost 3days ( trying to eat smaller portions) lmao but it was good every time!!

I must say for a pop-up location, We had the smoother turkey chops they came with rice and gravy and two sides. We had mac & cheese and cabbage. The rice and gravy needs more seasoning. The mac & cheese wasn't bad. I was a little disappointed with the cabbage way too mushy should be more solid and should have some red & green bell peppers and more texture.

First time trying Throwdown Soulfood at the Bellflower Farmer's Market. The food was delicious and the portions were big that we had leftovers for the next day. The fried chicken was flavorful and juicy. The oxtails were fall-off-the-bone soft and tender meat. Friendly customer service. It's worth giving it a try if you're curious. I'm definitely coming back for the food!

Whenever and I say whenever there is an event and throwndown is there that's where my money is going!!!! Great food like drooling before you put it in your mouth great. I haven't had a side that wasn't good, and the oxtails

They were in Anaheim today for a Black History Month festival. The line for this truck was longer than any other food truck. I ordered the oxtail plate with Mac n cheese and red beans and rice. Everything was on point. I'd definitely buy this soul food again. The reason for 4 stars is because I wanted peach cobbler and peach tea but she did not bring any as advertised. I was willing to spend $100 to support. If you ever come across this truck I suggest you try it.

Got to see the booth today at the Bellflower farmers market today and was very excited to try the Mac and cheese! Ended up spending +$11 for 8 oz of Mac and cheese only. There was no taste and the texture was very congealed. Couldn't tell apart what was cheese and what was pasta. Maybe the other sides are better but I recommend passing on the Mac and cheese. Giving two stars because at least the services was quick.

I had the pleasure of experiencing Throwdown Soulfood at the Black History Festival today in downtown Anaheim. I had the fried chicken dinner with greens and yams for my sides. Everything was awesome and I will definitely go to the restaurant to partake In other menu items, service was just as great as the food, anxiously waiting on the next event. Thank you

First time trying! And let me tell you it's amazing! Must try !! Great food, Great Service, Great Ambiance, Great Portions and Great People will definitely come here from now on! Price is Worth every penny!

Where do I start? Ms. Rasheeda is so professional and welcoming. Me and my friends met her and the team at a southern festival and the entire menu was gooooood. I love how she gave out samples to us before we place our order, we got to try most of the sides. I ordered oxtail & it was greaaaat. The food definitely touched my soul! THAT CORNBREADDDD! AND BABEYYYY that Mac and cheese, didn't even have to warm it up it was so moist and cheesy! you can tell everything was made with love & it was definitely for the soul! If you've been thinking about trying her food, stop thinking and GO GET YOU SOME! You will not regret it Thank you Rasheeda, we appreciate you so much.

Enjoyed the service, owner is friendly & let us try samples before we bought, she was honest about the way food is prepared , my family & I loved supporting this B.O.B
