The Quesadilla Calling

Last summer, during our Cali trip, my partner's brother introduced us to The Quesadilla Calling, a hidden gem pop-up in Long Beach and it was beyond amazing! The mac & cheese quesadilla we had was straight fire. The flavors were bold, cheesy, and unforgettable. The pop-up was clean and welcoming, with great service and a chill vibe that perfectly matched the incredible food. This spot is an absolute must-visit for any food lover!

Wow. If you find this pop up stand anywhere - immediately get yourself a quesadilla. These are not your typical quesadillas. They are packed full of flavor and are humongous and was served with some homemade salsa as well as a fried onion. So darn good.I also added mac and cheese for $4.99 and the way they grilled the mac and cheese right on the grill where you got that crusty cheese cover with the gooey mac and cheese inside was incredible. 5-stars all around. Friendly, but to be prepared to wait a bit if there are a lot of orders ahead of you; there was only one owner working when I went, but it made for an INCREDIBLE beach snack on labor day!Hope to find this stand again; they were popped up on the Cherry/Ocean Long Beach Alamitos Beach on a weekend.

Came across this amazing food at a free event at MOLAA and order the braised rib quesadilla and the Cajun shrimp Mac and cheese. The quesadilla was amazing like so good just the right amount of cheese and meat and wasn't overly cheesy like some can be. Flavors were delicious, the meat was amazing and I immediately wanted another one. They had a cilantro aioli sauce with it that was great too. The Cajun shrimp had the best flavor not too spicy or salty, just some perfect blend of herbs and spices that have it the Cajun flavor. It was on top of this pan fried Mac and cheese where the cheese forms this crust around the Mac. Very decadent and I kind of wanted the shrimp inside that but it was ok on top as well. I kind of also wanted to put that whole thing on a bun of some sort as a sandwich which would cut down the richness and saltiness of the cheese. Anyway if you hunt them down for the quesadilla you will not be disappointed.

What did I just eat?! Holy smokes!!!! MyBoyfriend and I stumbled upon this pop up during the Long Beach street shut down event. When I tell you every single bite we were "mmmmmm" and "dude!!!!!!!"Wow!!! I need to figure out where you usually are cuz that was amazing and I want to try more!!!!I've told toooooo many ppl about the best quesadilla in the world Great presentationKid making them was very friendly as well

I forgot to review this a few yelled, so good that I had to stop in order -I ordered two quesadillas. I don't have the menu in front of me so I cannot tell you which ones I ordered but they were both delicious - My very picky friend loved them as well- fought over the last one :p. The owner of this place is special- very calm , courteous, mellow and talented , . I love the dipping sauces that he paired with them

I had the vegan quesadilla and it was soooo good! I'm craving for the sauce! Jamone is friendly and personable. He's at Alex's bar every Tuesday! Love the macadilla!

Bomb ass quesadillas!! Can never go wrong with anything on the menu. They cater to vegan/vegetarian options as well. Plus you can add Mac n cheese to any quesadilla, however it's not vegan! Plus the people who work there are so kind and friendly. Totally recommend pulling up to the quesadilla calling whether you're a local or just in town visiting. Support local, support small. In these pics are two separate times I've gotten the Louisiana caller; which is the vegan quesadilla that has Daiya cheese and beyond sausage. This is enjoyable for both vegans and non vegans. I've only had this quesadilla but all my friends get the other kinds and constantly rave about them.

Stumbled onto this stand outside Alex's Bar. What a welcome surprise, this guy chefs it up and the food is amazing. He was also playing the Grateful Dead on his speaker which counts for something. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing food!! Saw the orange tent on 2nd street and decided to give them a try. Ended up being the best decision ever. I got the Mac-a-dilla and OMG!! The crust was crispy cheese and was filled with Mac and cheese. I even gave my dog a piece and he was going crazy for more. I should have taken a pic but I was too excited to eat it. 10/10 would recommend!!!!
