I'm really not sure how the average is only 3.5 stars. My guess would be that it is because of the price tag. I think the food is amazing quality, but you're also paying fir the historical ambiance as well. The omelet guy was also the waffle and made to order pancakes guy, too...and very friendly. King crab legs were pre-cut, salmon was fresh, prime rib was juicy, and my mom enjoyed the oysters (due to medicine, I csht eat raw foods). There is also an ample amount of breakfast staples and pastries, and our orange juice was always refilled....without asking. Live music coupled with the attire of the crew gave off the "dining in first class" vibe. Not much else to say. For a special occasion for people who enjoy brunch, this is definitely worth the price (for a special occasion).

This past Sunday I indulged in the queen Mary royal Sunday brunch! There were plenty of lovely things about it but also some things I want others to know. Pros: - All you can eat (crab legs!!) - Crab legs cut in half so easy access! Didn't realize how amazing that is! - lots of variety - not too busy - very kind service; really above and beyond- live jazz music- allowed to explore boat after Cons:- Buffet style, so things can be sitting... the cakes were beautiful but they were cut into mini slices and stale/dried out. - Caution on the crab... some pieces were discolored and made me worried - Pretty expensive for a buffet, although the experience is lovely.Buffet price for me: $98 and you can add on bottomless mimosas for like $20. Lovely experience, but probably won't do it again soon due to quality of the food and the price.

We were sat near, but not directly next to, the stage and the band was way too loud. Deafening. Service was terrible. Never got drink refills and when we flagged a server down for more water she acted annoyed. Plates weren't cleared between buffet visits. Food was cold. Gnocchi: cold. Chili Rellenos: cold. Even the carved meats weren't hot.

Food and service 4/5 stars, ambiance and overall experience 5/5! The Christmas Sunday brunch was phenomenal, between the buffet, the endless mimosas, the live music, and exploring the ship while recovering from all of those indulgences. Overall a wonderful experience!

I recently attended the Royal Brunch at the Queen Mary, and it was quite the experience. The brunch is served buffet-style, with an impressive variety of food selections to choose from. While the food itself was somewhat hit or miss, the overall experience made up for it.The real highlight is the ambiance. Being on the historic Queen Mary is something special, and I always make sure to take a walk around the deck before the brunch begins. It's a wonderful way to soak in the ship's rich history and enjoy the ocean views. What truly elevates this brunch, though, is the service. The staff goes above and beyond, treating every guest like royalty. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly welcomed and well taken care of throughout the meal.If you're looking for a unique dining experience with exceptional service and a chance to explore a piece of history, the Royal Brunch at the Queen Mary is worth a visit. Just manage your expectations when it comes to the food, and you'll have a memorable time.

In the words on LL Cool J, "don't call it a come back". The Royal Brunch was all that and then some, we used to say, the best thing since sliced bread. It was everything yall. Don't walk, run, don't wait, the best brunch in the Southbay.Upon arrival you check in downstairs , you can walk upstairs or take the elevator through the actual tour door.. once you reach the 2nd floor, you do another check in and then escorted to your seat. Our seat was close to the food because my mom utilizes a wheel chair. They were great with the accommodations. It was a Fathers Day Celebration and the hubster loved it. Once he got his food and did a once around, he was like babe we can come here 1x per month...The buffet consisted of so much food, Italian, seafood, prime rib, sushi, pastries, Mexican food. And although the location was full it was not crowded, no long wait for anything, definitely a crowd pleaser.I look forward to going back

Fun experience to do once, but wouldn't go back. Was a bit off putting that the first thing they tell you when you arrive is that the time limit is 90 minutes. Food is plentiful, but hit or miss. Some is good, some is nothing special. Most of it is not hot enough, so be prepared to eat lukewarm food. The live entertainment is a nice touch. Our server was pretty attentive taking plates away, but it did take a bit to get coffee refills.

I miss the days of a good brunch on holidays with my family. While I'm not back home anymore, I thought it might be good to try a historic site, get some ambiance, and have some brunch in long Beach this weekend at the queen mary. What can I say? I wish I read all the reviews (idiot, I am an elite yelper) but opted to see for myself. Please don't go. The only good thing was that the manager must know how bad it is, we didn't have to pay. Meh. Cold cold food all around, and I'm not talking about the cold seafood buffet. Everything is cold. Things weren't seasoned and very bland. Crab dry, pastas bland, meat cold, and over cooked with not all sauce for each. I didn't even venture to have breakfast. I've seen the reviews of that. The queen mary, while beautiful in history and stature, could use some upgrades in places to make it more enjoyable as well as even floors in the miniature room so you don't break an ankle walking around people. The music, well, the singer, was hard to listen to. It was just an unpleasant experience where we left in search of food. Price is way overpriced for the food and experience. They should just give some free drinks for the cost, but they're watered down anyway. If someone finds me an amazing brunch, please ping me. Steer clear of here.

Wow, what a disappointment! I hadn't eaten here since well before the pandemic. Had pretty fond memories. Previously: great food selection, high quality food, great service. Now (went yesterday, Sunday, 02/23): okay selection, average quality food, poor service. The decor was a bit "shabby". The chair is sat in felt like a sudden movement and it would break apart. The place wasn't particularly busy (maybe 60% of the tables were occupied). We had to ask multiple times to get water and orange juice/mimosas. I don't remember staff ever coming around to refill our glasses after the initial request. They were pretty good about clearing off dirty plates in a timely manner. Staff was neither particularly friendly or unfriendly.Carved meats were dry and a bit overdone. The non-attended serving stations were sort of messy. The dessert station was sub-par. The fruit and salad station was just average, if that. The "experince" was worth maybe $40. Definitely WAY overpriced at $100/per. Plus, I think they charge like $20 per adult for the sparkling wine "add". So I guess the mimosas and champagne aren't even included in the way over-priced $100!!Overall extremely disappointed. Hard to find a great brunch nowadays.....

We came here for our Mom's 70th Birthday because she has fond memories of this place pre- pandemic. There were over a dozen of us and with $98 per person, it was definitely pricey. The service was not up to par, our drinks were not refilled and had to ask servers a couple of times. They did not even offer us coffee at the end of our meal. This is unacceptable, especially when the place was not at capacity. The food was mediocre at best, since it was not hot and lack taste. The area where they set up the buffet station was in the back which was dark and did not seem as grand as when they had it in the middle of the dining room. The band was set up so close to the tables that it made it impossible to have conversation while dining. Overall the experience was lacking and we will not be returning. It used to be one of our favorite Sunday brunches. Sadly it has lost it's magic and with these reviews we only hope they can strive to do better.
