The Nest: A Brunch Joint

If you're looking for a southern comfort, yummy brunch food, this place won't disappoint. Located off of Bellflower Blvd, there is a parking lot next to it that says pay to park, but the hostess said no one really checks....theres also some street parking nearby... The waits here can be long especially on weekends and holidays so be sure to add yourself to the waitlist on Yelp. We did and didn't get seated until about an hour post joining the waitlist. The food here was all worth it and it's all really tasty but be prepared you'll be consuming lots of calories.... Shrimp & grits were delicious and a must get. Chilaquiles the slightly spicy one was very good. The short rib hash was tasty. And all the entrees come with a side - get the potatoes, bacon waffle and biscuits.

Used the Yelp online waitlist function which helped reduce the wait time a bit (I assume). Parking around the corner was easy. Interior decoration was definitely unique/interesting. But onto the more exciting part - the food.Was in a "healthy" mood so I ordered the veggie scramble. Nothing spectacular, but everything I need out of a veggie scramble. The potatoes definitely were the stars here. Hot and crispy with nice salt flakes, I was a bit reluctant to share with my family haha. I got to try the chilaquiles rojo - very tasty. I love when the chips stay crispy even with a lot of salsa and these delivered. Was looking forward to trying the horchata latte I saw previous folks had tried, but unfortunately did not see it on the menu today and didn't feel up to asking about it. I'd come back to try some of their sweeter offerings.

Food portions: HUGE Value: Definitely worth it Horchata cold coffee is delicious It has cinnamon if you're not a fan, you man not like it. I love it ! Everytime we come they always run out. Today we came early lol. I was able to get it. Yay!!!!The place is immaculately clean. The staff is super amazing. Management comes over to ask how you're doing. That was a plus. Jordan was an excellent and amazing server. He's served us twice before. He has great customer service skills, is super friendly and pleasant. He is very attentive. The food is mouthwatering scrumptious! Hats off to the chef. The habanero salsa is delicious. The chilaquiles are our go to. I love their waffle bacon bites. The eggs Benny is another one of my faves. The hollandaise is just different .... Yummy different. This place is a gem. Picture worthy. A great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, a quick bite, a meet up with friends or a moment to be with yourself. I really have to say that the staff make this place just as enjoyable as the food. It's hard to find a place with great customer service and food and this place has it all. We will continue to come back. Thanks for the yummy breakfast

10am Thursday morning and it's super busy that we still had to wait a few minutes but it's well worth waiting for. FYI- There is a $1 per egg surcharge currently. Cute decor from their newly soft opening from their old Tambien location (2 restaurants turned into 1 location now). I order the short rib eggs with waffle bacon on the side. Started with the Waffle which is freshly made with syrup and bacon bits on top (I loved this!). Short ribs marinated so well with sweet potatoes and fried egg on top. I would most definitely order this again since it's such tasty comfort food. Thank you Heather for our wonder service. Bravo on new soft opening. Parking- there's a paid lot next door or the streets is free 2 hour parking. There's plenty of street parking.

The service is always top tier. It feels like going to your community kitchen and eating with people you know :) At one point we saw the general manager checking in with guests , including our table. The Nest is the reason I love a mint coffee. It's been about 10 years since I first had it and it's been my fav way to drink coffee ever since. It's a must try when visiting. I also tried their chilaquiles rojos, it's odd because the red ones are usually spicy but in this case their red chilaquiles are their spicy ones. No worries! I asked for salsa on the side and they brought bright orange habanero sauce and let me tell you as someone who loves a spicy kick, it was excellent! If you haven't already been to the Nest please don't miss out. Trust me when I say it'll be in your list of favorites.

I remember coming here years ago but it was at a different location. This new location is way cooler! It's now in an art gallery with fun wall art. During brunch time it was busy but I was still seated right away. I normally don't eat grits but the pics I've seen looked so good that in decided to give it a try and it was delicious! It was savory with the cheese and bacon bits but not too rich. I got a side of the mini waffles which was a great compliment. I ordered the beef short rib hash to go for my husband and he really enjoyed it too.

From the moment I walked in, the vibe was incredible--warm, welcoming, and cozy, with modern decor and plenty of natural light.The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, even though it was packed. The poutine is a must try. The crispy, golden fries are topped with rich, savory gravy, gooey melted cheese, and a generous portion of tender short rib that takes it to the next level. Each bite is a perfect mix of flavors and textures. Also the bacon waffle which has the perfect balance of sweet and savory--a fluffy, golden waffle with bits of crispy bacon baked right into the batter. Every bite gives you a delightful mix of smoky, salty bacon and the subtle sweetness of the waffle.

I love an online waiting list. They have that covered nicely. The place is not bad looking. Great location. The raspberry iced coffee is unique and tasty.. the service is slow.. the plane is loud.. the kids menu has two items on it. They brought us food after 25 min without silverware.. I ended up eating with my hands and the food was mediocre. Then it took another 14 min to flag someone down to pay. Don't come here if you're in a hurry.

The serve was wonderful! While it was a soft opening, it was still prompt service and I felt very welcomed by the staff and atmosphere. I did not feel rushed at all. I will definitely be coming back!
