10/10 Review * Service: Always quick and consistent. * Food: Always hot, fresh, and ready to go. * Comparison: This location stands out compared to others. * Reason: Consistency makes it the best, in my opinion.

I didn't come here for awhile because of the reviews I read of the chicken katsu being not that great. I need to remember, people usually write reviews when they are unhappy! I usually went to L&L for my chicken katsu cravings- but they closed a while ago. So, I gave this place a shot, and I am so glad I did! Idk what all the unhappy reviews were about because the chicken katsu plate is delicious! A lot of chicken, not burnt at all, moist and delicious. I now come here often and every visit has been great. *my review is only for chicken katsu, because that's all I keep getting here lolThanks Loft, for always having super friendly and welcoming staff and delicious katsu!!!

Aw man. I really wanted to write a great review of this place because we had a great experience here 6 years ago so we even got catering from here for my nephew in law's first birthday but our most recent experience really left us disappointed. We ordered the bacon fried rice, loco moco, chicken katsu, and spam musubis. The bacon fried rice tasted burnt, the loco moco had way too much rice in it in comparison to the meat ratio, and the chicken katsu breading tasted funky. My mil said everything looked "sung ee up ssuh" in Korean which in translation means that it looks prepared without much care or consideration... this was probably the prime example of quantity over quality. I'm sad because we want to support this restaurant whenever we decide to get take out but if we don't see an improvement next visit then we probably will not come back again.

My kids love this place so much. We love the Korean bbq beef and island Hawaiian fried chicken.

The chicken Katsu is delicious and tender with just the right amount of bread crumbs. Unfortunately they do not do a very good gravy for the Katsu but still would recommend it. They also offer a chicken, beef or mixed plate. All of their plates come with a side salad that consist of coleslaw salad mix that has crusted up ramen noodles in it. I did not recommend the salads. The ramen noodles are uncooked. Try the potato salad instead. Served on one plate. The service is always friendly. The dining area is nice for eating in. They have several televisions.

Been eating here for years, lately it has been hit and miss. Are there different cooks from day to day? Yesterday my Korean BBQ beef was more like a Korean BBQ Bluff!! No char on the sad looking soggy strips of beef, had a steamed quality to it that made it a poor dining experience. Usually it has a good char and not soggy. I am disappointed.

I have to say, it's not as good as it used to be. Portions are much smaller, beef isn't as good, they have fake sriracha.I hate that the front door has a sign that says use the side door.... Why?It's just gone downhill. Quality is not as good.Maybe I'll try the HB location and see if it's better

The Loft is a "hit and miss" experience for me. Regardless, I like this restaurant when I'm craving some Hawaiian food. The interior is clean and roomy with lots of tables. However, you can smell the disinfectants used so can be a bit unappealing. The parking area is tight and limited shared among several other venues in this small plaza. The staff are friendly and service is okay. The phoned in orders are managed well. However, I recommend do check the to-go order(s) when you place more than 4 items. A couple times, I didn't get macaroni salads or sauces were missing if you asked for as a side (e.g., loco moco). We ordered:(1) Bacon Fried Rice - a MUST and highly recommended. The portion is great, lots of bacon bits and very flavorful.(2) Loco Moco - CLASSIC and worth a try. I tend always order the Loco Moco since it's my favorite dish. The hamburger patties are often times dry and over grilled. I had to specifically request the staff for hamburger meat to be grilled "medium" so it's not overcooked to have it right. (3) Veggie Saimin - SKIP this dish. The saimin was soggy and missing the fish-cake so very disappointed.

Marinated Beef Katsu - Thinnest slice of meat. No flavor. This is not how local "Hawaiian" food should be. Go to the L&L or the other local place by Cerritos mall.Loco Moco - gravy and hamburger both taste burnt.Rice in the spam musubi was mushy.Horrible

The food quality is the best outside of the islands of Hawaii. The servings are generous and the quality and taste is spot-on!Even when I am in Los Angeles County, I drive to The Loft in Cypress when I am in the mood for authentic and delicious Hawaiian cuisine.
