Greasy deliciousness. A staple along the Strand, The Kettle offers a wide variety of food items with reasonable prices, given the area. This place is busy all day with Manhattan Beach visitors and locals, and all night with partygoers. They offer all the foods your cardiologist told you not to eat (with some healthier options), but... you parked far away, you're walking the Strand after your meal, and you'll be hoofing it up and down the hill from the beach, so you can cheat on your diet a little bit, right?The fried pickles were the best I'd ever had. Big, diagonal slices, with the crunchiest and crispiest batter. I couldn't even get a photo before people put their paws all over them. I had the pot roast patty melt and it was packed with tender meat. The bread had garlic/butter/cheese grilled into its outer faces and the au jus was incredible (and salty). I had the soup of the day (cream of chicken) and was nice but severely undersalted, which I found ironic. I looked at neighboring diner's plates (for research purposes!) and I wanted to eat it all -- the Kettle truly delivers. Lastly, the muffins are great. The honey bran muffin is a dessert in itself, sticky and moist. Mmm...Hopefully you've put your name on the waitlist already, you'll be happy you did!

DELICIOUS DINER, A STAPLE IN MB! This amazing place is a staple in Manhattan Beach and it's open super late. It's so yummy but unassuming. Manhattan Beach is fun but has gotten very fancy recently. This place is casual and has a diverse menu. So my friends and I used to go here after partying in the area since it's open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday. When the kids were little we used to come here for breakfast (which is served all day!). Today we came here for dinner. My sons are obsessed with steak so they ordered that. I was super suspect of steak at a dinner but it was delicious and came with soup (they got chicken tortilla) or salad, spinach. and garlic bread (or you can get a muffin). But it also came with the MOST DECADENT MASHED POTATOES. They were loaded with sour cream, cheese, green onions, and copious amounts of bacon. I ordered the green goddess burger with beef. It was so great with perfectly cooked beef, half an avocado, and the most buttery brioche bun. I got a side salad instead of fries but the fries are good too. The service was great and we were checked on often. Don't miss out on this delicious classic diner. It is one of those places that I hope never goes away!

Phenomenal dinner experience at The Kettle last night. Taylor was an awesome waiter, recommended some delicious items and made me and my buddy feel right at home. We ordered French Onion soup, Spicy Cauliflower appetizer and Chicken Piccata dish, as the ambiance of The Kettle felt warm, with a feeling of an established late-night diner, which this place happens to be. The French Onion soup was one of the best I've ever had. The melted cheese on top with some soup-soaked bread/croutons and the broth so good that I considered getting seconds. The Spicy Cauliflower app was unexpectedly amazing. As you take the bite, it's like you're biting into a cloud that's gently raining delish buffalo-flavored sauce onto your tongue and taste buds. The texture and the flavor were unmatched. The Chicken Piccata dish was outstanding as well. Chicken itself was nicely flavored with light marinade and lemon, buttery, tender, delicious, topped with warm capers, just wow. It was accompanied by tasty mashed potatoes and sautéed greens, which just hit the spot as well. Will definitely be back to this place!

My mother and I love going to The Kettle for an early morning breakfast. We tend to be early birds on the weekends, so The Kettle comes in clutch with their convenient business hours. The Crabcake Benedict is my favorite. They use real lump blue crab; the eggs are always perfectly poached; and they are never stingy with the hollandaise. I am not too keen on bread, so I usually sub out the English Muffin for spinach instead. My mom is a huge fan of their freshly baked muffins. I usually default to a Guavamosa for something sweet. The breakfast entrees come with a free juice, and there is a coffee station near the entrance. Service is always quick and friendly, and the restaurant is always super clean.

My girlfriend invited me for a walk along the beach and lunch. She particularly chose to eat at The Kettle because their honey bran muffin is delicious. She doesn't know if The Kettle and Mimi's Cafe are related, but said the menu is very similar.We were sat immediately at a booth and our server was very patient and friendly. I ordered the french onion soup and the Chinese chicken salad. The salad was underdressed. The chicken was dry. The soup, however, was really good.Apparently this is a 24 hours restaurant. The ambiance was very palour-esque which made it cosy and welcoming. I recommend coming here for casual bites or late night dining.

This was our third time dining here and we totally love the experience. So nice going to a place of business, especially a restaurant, where staff actually smile and treat customers with warmth and courtesy. Today I had the Kettle Burger with a bowl of French Onion soup. Honestly, this was a lot for me to eat but it was so flavorful and cooked so well ate it all. Our waiter timed our meal perfectly. No rushing and everything brought out at the appropriate times one. He was clearly attentive. This was very much appreciated. I'd definitely come here more often if I lived closer but we try to stop by if we're anyplace nearby. The neighborhood has lots of great restaurants but this is clearly our favorites.

We were fortunate enough to come when parking was free. After getting off a flight we wanted some breakfast. 5/5 Service. The Kettle has coffee and little baked muffins while you wait. We waited a hot second before getting seated. They provided little wax sticks for the kids, thank you! We got to eat most of our meals before the kids began to lose interest. We sat inside but they have both indoor or outdoor whatever you'd like. 5/5 The kettle. The breakfast potatoes were really good and the brand muffin was so good I wanted another one. I was quite full but not food coma status. If you're in the area and want breakfast or lunch, they have a lot of options to choose from. God bless
