The Interlude

A classic dive experience, best place to come escape for a minute. They have pool (only 50¢ a game!) and darts if you are so inclined. Bartenders Raya and Alisa are absolute legends who bring this place from a standard dive to a gem worth visiting. If you're hungry you can get some great food next door, come eat and munch while enjoying a drink.

I visited this bar on Saturday, 2/15, to play darts with a friend. I ordered a Jack Daniel's Honey on the rocks with two limes from the female bartender. About a minute after receiving my drink, she asked if she could close out my tab since her shift was ending. Wanting to leave her a bigger tip, I ordered another round, even though I hadn't finished my first drink.To my surprise, when the second round arrived along with the bill, I noticed an extra charge--$2 for ice on each drink. Yes, I was charged for ice! When I asked the waitress about it, she said it was because I had ordered a double. I was shocked. Despite this, I still left a $5 tip.I'm not sure if this "ice charge" is some kind of upcharge or if I was just singled out, but if I had known, I would've saved the ice from my first drink--or better yet, I wouldn't have ordered a drink here at all. That's definitely something the staff should disclose upfront: "Hey, we charge $2 per drink for ice."Needless to say, I won't be drinking here again.

Local dive bar near my house that I like to stop in to visit from time to time... with the girls, with my husband or a group of friends. :)Not very big but they have pool, darts and a juke box.I have 2 complaints though; they don't have Coke (which I love) or even Pepsi (not a fan but would tolerate in a pinch as a mixer).... It's RC Cola! Say, whaaaat?? My Malibu and Diet tasted "off" so I asked about it and that's when I learned about the randomness of RC Cola that they carry.Secondly, they don't have Red Bull. Or Rock Star. Or even Monster. But something called Speedy Energy (?) HUH!!? It wasn't HORRIBLE and did taste decent with our jäger but it was no Red Bull. Those 2 things won't stop me from going back...I will just order beer or a vodka drink. ;-)

My favorite dive bar!! They have the best service, especially if you're being served by Alisa or Raya. I definitely recommend this place for your next drink!

I frequent this bar. Has convenient parking, BBQ restaurant next door I'd you are hungry, get the food and eat in the bar and watch your sports on 5 screens. Made many friendly people. They have touch tunes for your music enjoyment. And not to mention cheap beer and shots.

I recently went to this bar with my boyfriend. There was only one other person in the bar aside from us. The older bleach blonde bartender had been playing music on the Touch Tunes. I wanted to play music as well, using the Touch Tunes coins that I paid money for, to play my music after. My music consisted of rap music, and the other gentleman in there with us didn't mind at all. After about 30 seconds of my first song, the bleach blonde older bartender woman walked over to the Touch Tunes box, UNPLUGGED the Touch Tunes and said it was by mistake and happened while she was trying to refill the pens next to the lotto papers. The rest of the time we were in there she was attempting to "restart" the Touch Tunes and we ended up leaving after one drink. Terrible service and terrible attitude.

Very rude I came in to meet my wife who is handicapped. I got to the bar first. I went in and used the restroom then my wife call and said she was in the parking lot and needed help. So on my way out the bartender said thank you and restroom was for customer only he was very rude. I turned and told him I was going to help my handicapped wife but since he was rude then we were not going to be customers. And he told me to fuckoff this is how they treat there handicapped customers.

Don't bother!!! Calling this a dive bar is a generous overstatement. It smells, bartenders are rude and racist.Like many other reviewers here, I went in, showed ID yet was refused service. The bartender, that was actively drinking while on the job, even called me "baby girl" when she told me she wouldn't accept my ID. I have a strong suspicion, based on the clientele and service I experienced, that this is the type of place that only serves certain kinds of folks, and POC are not one of them. Please don't make the mistake I made, READ THE BAD REVIEWS and rest assured that the consistency in what you are reading from fellow Yelpers is accurate.

Starting going to this bar many years ago. Was always a great place to get cheap strong drinks (a Dive Bar's stock in trade) and a convivial atmosphere. Reasonably priced pool tables, juke box played music continually thanks to generous patrons, and it was open 20hrs/day.Last couple of years, the full-time (5 days/wk) bartender Dana has single-handedly ruined the experience in many ways. Devoid of personality, find of playing music only he likes and appreciates, has a habit of disappearing into larger woman's bathroom for long periods of time, doing who knows what while neglecting customer's needs. Think his wife runs the show...she works several nights. He undoubtedly wouldn't have a job were it not for her. Plenty of other Dive Bars in close proximity...Snug Harbor in Lakewood is a great alternative, or Zanzabuku. Steer clear of this place Tue-Fri days @ a minimum.

This is my favorite dive bar when I come into town!! Raya goes above and beyond! The ambiance is great, they have a great drink selection and pool tables
