Wow, this place is such a busy spot, with parking in the immediate entrance area can be quite an effort. If you're lucky, you'll find one about close to the shop, if not, then just look for parking with the other businesses and their customers...yes, parking is crazy in the plaza of this dim sum shop! But...with all that, The Dim Sum Co. is worth giving a try, even if it's just once! There will be long lines here and though you can place an order ahead (I believe's it's online, though I did not use it for my first visit...next time...definitely!). Expect to wait for either in person or online orders, but if you order right there, the estimated wait is between 25-35 minutes on the weekends. If you get bored waiting around, take a walk to the connected My Thuan Market next door (you can check out my review on that shop if you'd like). Anyway, the dim sum here is pretty good and fairly priced. About $5 each kind of dim sum, though still pricey...so if you order 3 items, that's about $15 +$1.50 tax (tax rate in Westminister is 9.25% at time of this post...so you can calculate that on your own...lol). Had their Taro Crispy Roll, Siu Mai, and Baked Char Siu Bao. All were very good, especially the Taro Rolls. I didn't get to take any food photos as we ate it all as soon as we got the order! Oh and yeah, this place is entirely a take-out dim sum...NO dining in! Looks family owned with fair customer service. Side Note: The main street or location of this plaza may have some sketchy/homeless people (even during the day). Did encounter a random person screaming loudly that got all of our attention. But there's a lot of people here during normal peak hours, just be mindful of your surroundings like anywhere else.

Atmosphere - Short Line on a Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm. Take out only. Taste - Shumai was huge, overcooked. The wrapper was soggy and falling apart. Chow fun was hard and tasted mostly of onions. Egg tart was flavorful. Baked pork bun was dry and filling was mushy. Taro was crispy but lacked filling. Crispy shrimp wontons were tasty but very oily. Customer service - Cashier was friendly and helpfulPrice - Above Average

I always come grab a bunch for my brother before heading out to visit him in the IE. he always asks for 5 orders of shu mai so he can eat one and freeze the rest.the best thing about this place is not just the flavor, yet the portion(s) they are definitely generous - and not sloppy w/the presentation either.been coming here for years and will continue to come. 100% recommend if you are craving dim sum and have no time to sit at the restaurant.

3.5 stars. The dim sum here isn't bad. It's super convenient, especially if you order online so you can just swing by and pick up. I'd order and eat here again for some "fast food" dim sum.

This used to be my the to go place for dim sum. But after 2020, they closed down the sitting area and only order through the door...the taste is still there, tasty and good but it dried from the outside (since it was got covered). The portion is big and all 3 costed $15 total. Service is good and quick, they do have noodle soup dishes and others besides DimSum. It can be busy with long line during weekend or early morning. Glad to came back and have a taste again but without seeing the steamed foods through the glasses, it's not the same anymore. Will stop by again if I happened to shop at the supermarket next door.

After years of happily giving this joint my business, today was my last day here. Why?? 1) With the prices they charge, they don't even offer dining tables anymore like they used to. Why pay this much without the option of sitting there and relaxing? 2) Quality is pretty ghetto... Well, the actual place is now ghetto so no surprise it reflects in the food. My brown taro items were cold and shu mai exterior skin was too soft and nasty, although the inside was delicious. 3) All in all, they had a great run in their earlier years, but once they got rid of the seating areas, it's not worth it anymore. I would definitely pay at another sit-down dim sum restaurant and have higher quality and more relaxed experience.

It was my first time ordering here and it was kind of confusing to find the place at first since it's inside a supermarket. I ordered takeout through their website so there was no wait to pick it up which was convenient. There is no indoor seating since it's pickup only so you will see several people waiting in front of the supermarket side entrance. I got the pork xlb and steamed bbq pork buns, both of which were pretty good, but a bit soggy at the bottom. The flavor was definitely there and the filling was adequate.

Came into this place with high hopes due to their great marketing on social media, and to that end, they made it rough due to such high expectations!Service was friendly and quick, portions, especially the lo bac guo, were mostly adequate to (as said for lo bac guo) very ample. And being built as a to-go place in the side of an Asian supermarket, well, ambiance was pretty much spot-on. Pricing also not too bad for dim sum, although given they are to-go with no seating at all...Food was the more hit or miss. Har gow and shu mai were both pretty average for the area, which meant very decent, would order again. Har cheung fun had a solid amount of shrimp but the rice noodle was much, much too thick. The lo bac guo was pretty lacking in flavor despite the generous portion, ditto for the pai gut. Redemption was found in the ngau paak yip (ginger scallion beef tripe), which was very good.3* seems reasonable. With such stiff competition in the area, while you don't have to excel in every area, it's tough to stand out.

Seen all the amazing posts all over IG and had it on my list of places to check out if I was ever in Cali. We made it to Cali and made it over early in the morning to try and beat the crowd. We came to pick up some food before we headed down to San Diego. Loved the seaweed rolls as not a lot of Chinese restaurants offer this. Got excited when I saw it on the menu. The spareribs was a generous portion. Pork hash shu mai were smaller in size but tasted good. The chow fun was decent but had too many onions that were really raw. The tripe was prepared just right, soft and not too chewy. There were other items on the menu that I had wanted to try but it was just too much food for one. Will be back again!

Here's a long overdue updated review of The Dim Sum (formerly Dim Sum Co)? I'm not sure if their name really changed... but it is changed here on Yelp.Food taste and quality wise, it is still the same as it was when I started coming here five years ago. Prices have gone up, but not more than other places around. This place is still cheaper than everywhere I've seen. Also, they make the best siu mai in my opinion. I love placing my order online for pickup. I always reheat my food at home, so it doesn't bother me whether the dim sum is piping hot or not. Something to note is that they charge you for their sate chili oil when you order online... and they even have a sign out front that says that. However, they always give it to me when I ask without charging... so, that's pretty cool!Parking here is still stressful during busy times and there is no where to sit down.
