The Brant

Celebrated my coworkers birthday with a cute little brunch outing to the Brant on a Sunday morning! It was my first visit here and for my friends as well. Located on the top floor of the pacific city plaza, this restaurant has a nice indoor / outdoor view of the beach and gives a nice vibe overall. Parking is validated here for the 2 hours and $8 per hour after. Make sure to have the staff validate before leaving!Our server was phenomenal, he made sure we had plenty of time to look over the Menu for drinks and appetizers. We were a party of 7 but waited on a few late comers so he was very patient with our group. We shared two orders of the pretzel bread & I got the chicken and waffles dish. The food was so tasty and I saved some of the chicken to take home, it was very filling and portions are pretty decent! I was able to share my meal with some friends and still take it home for leftovers. Lovely ambiance, fantastic experience and good food-- what more can you ask for? The server also gave my friend a cute little brownie / ice cream dessert for her birthday with a candle.. it was the perfect end to our meal! Would definitely come back here to try other menu items!

Amazing views and delicious asparagus fries and dipping sauce (I'm thinking spicy aioli). Unfortunately the Prime rib dip sandwich was terrible. I specifically came here for this sandwich because it looked so good on yelp! My sandwich came out extremely overcooked and well done. A prime rib dip sandwich is supposed to be pink and med-rare. I was starving so I just finished it but please look at the picture I posted of it. I had 2 espresso martinis which were just okay. Not great. Come for the beautiful view and that's really it.

Made reservations on Valentine's Day for a Galentine's dinner and the hostess and everyone was so sweet! One of our friend's boyfriend sent flowers and chocolates to the restaurant hours in advanced and they kept it safe for when she got there. We were also running 5-10 minutes late and called in to let them know and they were very kind and accommodating about it.The food and drinks were delicious and service was great too! I deducted a star because there was a mix up with our orders, and while they did fix it promptly, they made it seem like we were trying to be difficult or trying to get free food. I'd ordered my steak with the asparagus and subbed out the mashed potatoes for Brussel sprouts. My friend got her steak butterfly cut and ordered an extra side of broccolini (in addition to the asparagus and mashed potatoes it came with). They ended up putting my Brussel sprouts on my friend's plate and she didn't get any of her asparagus or broccolini. We'd flagged this to our server and they brought out my Brussels sprouts, but still no asparagus or broccolini for my friend. After 2 more tries with 2 additional different servers, we finally got all of our sides. However, when our server came by to make sure everything was good, he made a comment to the extent of "enjoy all the free sides you got" as if we were being picky just to get extra free sides, which was not the case at all. We just wanted what we'd ordered and we did pay for the extra broccolini. That rubbed us the wrong way forsure.

2nd time here. Got my location back and stopped on my way to the airport! Yay! Got the espresso martini again. It was the usual, but paired with my prime rib dip it really hit the spot after reviewing 192 pages (normal per day is 60)! I deserved this treat. The place was crowded, so I sat at the bar. For a Friday night and Valentine's Day what do you expect. Date night abounded. Friendly peeps as always.

Went here for the first time last night with friends to celebrate a birthday. Restaurant is located on the top floor of pacific city, parking on street with meters or in parking garage, 2 hrs free with validation. The best aspects of the night were the view of the ocean and the appetizer. The drink while fruity and tasty was not strong at all. The burger wasn't bad but it was not something I would choose again either. I brought a French dip sandwhich home for my husband and he was not a fan of the meat and he gets that sandwhich from Houston's all the time. I think if I was in the area and wanted to grab a snack and a different cocktail with a nice view than I would go back but I live far and this place just isn't worth the drive in my opinion.

Great spot across from the beach. Has beautiful view of the ocean. Food and device were both good. I was with a pretty big party and a few people ordered the bottomless mimosas. Their cup stayed full so they were definitely happy about that. I had a steak sandwich with shoestring fries. The sandwich was ok but the fries were great! My husband had a burger that he enjoyed. My friend had the chicken and waffles which he loved! The table shared the tempura green beans... can I just say yum who'd have thought that green beans could be so good!

The view is beautiful, great food and service..My husband and enjoy your lunch today.

Came here for all day happy hour on a Tuesday. Had the tuna tartare tacos, the pretzel bread, and a blood orange coconut mai tail. Everything was good, as was service at the bar.Pretty easy walk from some of the hotels.

This place is amazing. Yes, the food is outstanding, but the service is even better. Lucas and Jimmy provided potentially the best service my family has received in our lives. We have a son with a disability who can get dysregulated by loud noises and Lucas offered, and followed through on lowering the restaurant's music (which wasn't that loud BTW). What a touch of class! They also allowed us plenty of time to select a secluded table. Jimmy is a phenomenal server. Couldn't have been any more personable. As a family that left our home as a result of the air quality from a neighboring fire, he made us feel special. Perfect 10/A+ all the way around. Kudos again to Lucas, Jimmy, the wings, tuna tartare tacos, crispy chicken and cocktails. Thank you!

Our first time at The Brant! We had a party of 10 plus a baby and we were spoiled by the staff. The waiter was amazing and super attentive to our group. The drinks were on point and so was the appetizers and main course The wings and ahi tacos were so flavorful I Had the rib eye and it was cooked to perfection! Even my kids loved the steak and usually they only prefer the way I cook it. We definitely recommend The Brant!! Thank you once again to the Lucas!
