Food service and ambiance here are awesome. An order is placed, I go and shop next door for groceries needed to make my Thai dishes, come back to pick up the to-go, and it's still one of the few spots that hits. Recommend are:Raw shrimp salad, soop noh mai, som tam Lao poo dam, saku sai moo, lod chuong, namjim jeaow with the sticky rice and deep fried pork rib-lets, gang som, nomjin namya lookchin pla, Pla Salid...

Thai & Laos Market is a hidden gem. This small, family-owned market offers a wide variety of authentic Thai and Laotian products, including fresh produce, meats, and spices. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and make recommendations. The prices are also very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and quantity of products. One of the standout features of this market is the variety of fresh produce available. From exotic fruits like durian and jackfruit to fresh herbs like basil and mint, you'll find everything you need to make delicious and authentic Thai and Laotian dishes.

I recently visited Thai and Lao Market in Anaheim, and it was a pleasant experience. I ordered the Thai tea, Thai boat noodles, Lao sausage, sticky rice, green curry, and bamboo shoots with fish balls. Note that they only accept cash! The Thai boat noodles were a bit sweeter than I prefer, and the Lao sausage was cold and lacked seasoning, which was disappointing. While the green curry was good, I've definitely had better. However, the bamboo shoots were a standout and really made up for it. The casual atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were friendly. With reasonable prices and generous portions, this spot is a good choice if you're craving Thai or Lao cuisine, especially since it's conveniently located nearby.

My friend recommended me this place and it met beyond my expectations. This place is truly a hidden gem. I got the 3 item combo meal with a side of papaya salad and all of my choices were 10/10. I recommend the combo item that comes with variety of options to choose from, all the combo meals comes with a side of rice under $10. Also, I definitely recommend ordering the papaya salad medium spice level. So refreshing and kick of spice, it was one of the best I had. Portions are HUGE and price is CHEAP. One thing to note is it's CASH ONLY here. This place is small and busy with only one server and cashier in the front, so I recommend stopping by the small supermarket right next door to make the wait worthwhile.

Oh I wanted to give this a higher rating !! OC doesn't have a thai/laos/khmer market - you gotta make the drive to long beach to get the goodies unforunately. I didn't feel like making the drive to long beach & was in need of limestone paste for my hat yai chicken. It's a specialty ingredient used in Thai cooking to aid in crispiness - don't think it's available in chinese, korean or vietnamese stores. I was in luck & had it ! While there I took a look at everything else. They also carry (somewhat) hard to find Pantai Budoo fermented fish sauce. They don't carry holy basil :( or coriander root. They had a fun Thai fruit punch Fanta so gave that a try. The store is cute but I feel has much more potential !! Wish they had more product. Cash only !

Thai - Laos Market is a mini-market that has a restaurant connected to it's store - literally separated by a sliding glass-door. Am a fan of their takeout restaurant next door. The market side has some COOL finds for Thai/Laotian essential cooking needs that one won't find at larger Asian supermarkets; mostly non-perishable items with here and there fresh herbs, snacks, herbal medicine, cooking utensils etc. Service is friendly and parking is available right in front. The only down side is they are : CASH ONLY.

Believe the hype!! Thank you fellow Yelpers and YouTubers for recommending this gem! It's very short and to the point in terms of the choices but the flavors are incredible!! Get the 3 choice combo for sure. We also ordered the papaya salad ala carte. The food was so amazing we ordered the basil beef and a 2 combo to go!The curries and the basil chicken were fantastic. The flavors reminded me of eating in Thailand. No doubt we will be back!

This location is a one stop shop , from grocery store to restaurant this place has got us covered on Asian /East Asian necessities. Lately I have been frequenting this place every time I am in the OC area because of their grocery items and GRANDMAS KITCHEN selection of hot foods. A glance in the kitchen and it's grandma inside cooking. I always opt for 3 items. The rice here is cooked to perfection . and tryna different item each time it's seasonal. From eggplants to catfish to beef this establishment always surprises me . The service is family style. Thank you FAM

Wanted to buy some esstials for cooking.Market was easy to locate and had pently of parking.Service was wonderful, I couldn't find some of the product I was looking for so the cashier/ owner I think was very helpful. For Ambiance,The market is smaller than the larger chain markets, but it's clean and it has everything you need to make Lao food.
