This is gonna be my go to teriyaki chicken joint from now on! The chicken is well marinated with that teriyaki sauce. And their portions are well worth the price. They have the classic combination platters. I got the chicken and shrimp with veggies on the side. I recommend you try their J's chicken teriyaki burger. And that Downey burger is typically not my kind of thing but I was surprised that it was savory and crunchy. Those loaded Superfries are a must. The bulgogi paired with chicken teriyaki on fries is next level. Don't forget to try their teriyaki wings as well. It is all good at Teriyaki J's.

New teriyaki spot located in Bellflower saw some pictures and figured let's go check it out. Small place seems pretty clean inside with a decent menu like burgers, teriyaki, and wings to choose from. I ordered the large chicken teriyaki bowl, which was good .bigger chunks of chicken a little bit on the dry side, but I've had worse and my son ordered chicken teriyaki burger came with grilled pineapple, avocado, chicken breast, and some other veggies. I really wanted like this place because I like supporting small business, but the owner wasn't super friendly and kind of short on answers when we had questions. The other reason for the negative star is, he has Sriracha mayo on the table and some other sauces that definitely need to be refrigerated, mayo should not be left sitting on a table for days and days and days. The burgers here are decent but don't quite live up to the hype. The flavors are good, but I found the patties a bit dry. Fries are good, though, and the atmosphere is cozy. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're craving a burger, just not the best I've had. Worth a try but don't set your expectations too high!

Newly opened in Bellflower and I decided to give it a try. I ordered the chicken bowl and my son got the steak. The teriyaki sauce is really good and my picky eater son really liked the steak bowl. Fast and friendly service, air conditioned and clean.

Deciding to get a teriyaki bowl I found Teriyaki J's in Bellflower. I saw Super Fries on the menu! Very good flavor. The meat was tender and I ordered the spicy teriyaki sauce and sriracha. Half chicken and half steak. Topped with hot cheetos. Very tasty! Definite return spot. The menu has a lot of options as they have wings, burritos, bowls, plates. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I recommend checking this place out!

Used to be a Mexican spot. Saw a few people in the Bellflower Facebook group talking about it so I figured I check it out. Located on a corner with lots of parking. Got the chicken plate and thought it was ok. The teriyaki sauce is good but the meat was on the dry side. Decent portion size. Overall a 4 star experience and would repeat if I'm near the area.

Newly revamped establishment, everything looked modern and clean. We were looking for a go to place to get outstanding teriyaki chicken now that Rascal's shut down their CSULB location on Bellflower. Going by the reviews, we tried a takeout order at Teriyaki J's for a salmon plate and a chicken and steak plate. At pickup around 4:30 pm, the attentive staff was quick and had our order waiting for us as we entered. While the portion size was good, unfortunately for us, the taste and texture was not. The sauce was okay, but seemingly straight from a bottle recipe and the salmon was okay but the steak was low grade and the chicken felt precooked and reheated (rubbery). The overall taste was just okay so we rate it "okay". We will continue our quest for good takeaway teriyaki.
