Taxco Fine Mexican Restaurant

This restaurant USED to be located in the shopping center on the corner of Western and Capital(across from N-In-Out Burger). I'm not sure when they moved to this location next to ColdStone Ice Cream off of Westmont & Western Ave. RPV.Someone told this place had very good Mexican food, so I Love me someChili Colorado, Chili Verde "Anything"but especially Chili Rellenos!Since discovering this wonderful restaurant, we've gone for breakfast even and that's when I ordered a Chili Relleno Burrito "Wet" WOWIt was insanely delicious! I can't wait to go back I may never order anything else ever again and believe me, ask my wife I could eat Mexican food everyday,(if she would let me). I've had their crispy tacos, fiesta taco chicken salad,Carnitas, Chili Verde Burrito,Shrimp Fajitas...It's All Good, the house salsa is also (for me anyway) perfect, not so hot that your tongue goes numb after only 5 chips, but does have so good heat. Service is fast and friendly, and it's very clean everywhere.There's a nice vibe, family atmosphere and a couple of larger booths for 6-7 people or more if young kids are with you. Beer & Wine I just checked their hours and it says they are NOW Open on Mondays

Amazing food excellent service cute vibes. This is hands down my new favorite restaurant in The area. Vinny was our server and is the owner. She was so sweet. She helped us pick something she recommended from the menu. We got the chile relleno plate along with the chile verde taco salad and the albondigas soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Chile rellenos were my favorite. The soup was some of the best I've had. The cook and owner Tony was also a really cool dude. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. Great mexican food here! I came in and got the carne asada plate and a asada nacho plate! Both delicious. They have a friendly staff and good ambience and they always checked up on us for drinks or anything else we needed. We both enjoyed the meal and the flower tortillas were good. The salsa were delicious as well. Taxco is located in a shopping mall area. I would go here all the time if i was in the area more often. I will try to make my way back soon for the breakfast burritos.Food rating:Carne Asada Plate 9.0/10Asada Nachos 8.5/10

Man this place hits all the notes. Friendly staff, amazing ambience and decor but most important delicious food and patron margaritas :) Some of the best Al Pastor you can get in LA. Shrimp diabla with a fragrant but still spicy red Chile sauce. If I lived in this neighborhood this would be my spot. Seemed like many others are regulars as the place was packed on a Sunday afternoon.

Came to Taxco with a craving of Chicken Fajitas " in which I did not leave disappointed! The hot plate came out steaming with very nice size pieces of chicken with fresh bell pepper and onion! all were great flavors and good size portion that do not leave you hungry! beans and quacamole are of great taste. like that the food does not come salty and you add salt to your own liking. Waitress come around through out meal making your eaatting experience a happy one!

I have eaten here several times since moving to San Pedro. I believe they were up the street on Western closer to 1st street originally. I usually order chile verde or carnitas, the plate or burrito. Their ceviche and tostadas are great too. The food is always great and comes out hot and ready to eat with the chips and salsa that come out first. The staff is always friendly too, with smiles and jokes. I haven't been inside for awhile but do take out food from time to time. The inside of the restaurant is pretty good size and comfortable with lots of south western motif and Mexican heritage, which I love. So, if you like to support local Mexican food and enjoy fine cuisine, then this is your spot.

It's an decent enough place. Staff is always friendly & orders are always made right.

Food quality has really gone down. I ordered the burrito verde received a burrito with watered down green sauce with absolutely no taste. I knew something was wrong because I have ordered the same thing for years and the sauce is usually thick and full of flavor. I guess they make more money by watering down the sauce and ripping people off. I was told that they cannot refund my card or give me my money back in cash. I was told they would give me a call after asking the owner what to do about this and never received a call back.

We have been here many times over the past several years. I am only writing this because Taxco has only 3.5 stars on Yelp, which is a crime.It is not too surprising. I lived in NY for many years and probably tried hundreds of pizzas there. The most authentic NY-style pizza within... at least... 10 miles of Torrance is Valentino's on Aviation Blvd. It, too, has 3.5 stars on Yelp.The food is excellent and very reasonably priced, and the staff is terrific. Try the taquitos. They're much larger and better than at most places, and basically a meal in themselves.I'll stop there. We have tried many of their dishes, and they have all been excellent.
