Taqueria Los Toys

First off, the two guys that worked here are very nice, helpful, and efficient so that was a plus. My boyfriend and I came here for their $1 al pastor street tacos on Thursdays. They were pretty small tacos, so we got 10 of them. 10 tacos for $10 that's a pretty good deal. They give you verde salsa and red salsa along with some sautéed onions and jalapeños and a bag of lemons with slice radishes. The tacos were ok, the al pastor was honestly quite dry. I think it might be sitting out on the meat stand for a bit too long. The meat didn't have much flavor and some cuts tasted a bit burnt. They were edible but it wasn't what we expected, sadly. Location was nice, clean, lots of seating to eat there if you like. They have a fun colorful artwork wall.

We Love Tacos de Tripa and we are on a hunt to find the best Taqueria that serves the best Tripa. Using Yelp to help us on our quest and came across Taqueria Los Toys in Hawaiian Gardens right along Norwalk Blvd and 216th St. Street Parking only so it can be tough, but finding a spot is worth it. As I like my Tripa's crispy with good flavor, the Tripa tacos we got had very good flavor, but I think if we had more time they can probably cook it up crispier. The other meats we tried were Cabeza, Lengua, and Al Pastor. All had good flavor and on Thursday's, the Al Pastor is only $1.00 each. The big plus of the tacos here is that even if they are street taco size, they are stuffed with a lot of the protein of choice. I had an awesome conversation with Junior who was very friendly and we talked about the weekend menu of menudo and how they prepare it, so I will come back to give that a try. Hoping that Taqueria Los Toys becomes a new spot for us.

Easily one of the best street style tacos around.Wide selection: Thursday they have al pastor tacos specials I get the lengua, cabeza and sometimes carne asada . The tacos are the smaller type so you can eat anywhere from 3 to 6 depending on your appetite!Courteous young man let me know they have borrego or lamb and menudo on weekends.Mostly bar style seating along the back walls. TV was on but I was not watching.Street parking is usually taken up so I park toward the back of the building, which is usually taken up by a car rental or sales office. It was night time and it was free.Mexican Coke set me back $4 for 500 ml taller bottle. Horchata is not so great.

The family has been getting our tacos and burritos here ever since they opened and also changed ownership/ name of the taqueria. Family ordered Al pastor tacos for takeout, we received it but all the meat came burnt and no flavor whatsoever. Pure laziness. If you (taqueria Los Toys) did not have any Al pastor left why not just say something instead of giving your customers bs. This establishment is going downhill.Save your money and go somewhere else. Very disappointing. Will be definitely taking our business somewhere else. Straight

Tried coming here on Easter but we were told they were closing as we arrived. We had seen tacos al pastor were $1 on Thursdays so we knew that was when we were coming back. Plus my favorite taco is Pastor so I had to try them. It's a small hole in the wall spot but that's normally where you'll find the best food. There's seating for 15 or so people, they have a clean bathroom which is a plus when you go some where public. The art on the walls was cool and funny it was a different vibe but cool. I ordered 4 tacos all pastor and 2 buche tacos, my partner ordered 3 fish tacos and a jamaica agua. Food was good she enjoyed her fish tacos and I enjoyed mine. It was a test run to see if we liked the place so we didn't order a lot. The pastor was good and tasty and the buche was as well really good and flavorful. Service was easy going and friendly, we found out it's a mom and pop place which we like to get behind. I think we spent a little over $20 which you can't beat these days. Would we come back? As long as the food and pricing doesn't change this can be our go to spot for tacos.

This place is bomb! Legit taqueria, no matter what you get. I enjoy the 3 tacos de birria with consome. And I just tried the menudo with pata no granos and it didn't disappoint. Bomb flavors on the broth, i am so picky about my menudo, this one is legit don't tell my mom. Editing my review because Of course i bought the Birria tacos to go, did not disappoint. These guys are serving some bomb mexican street food, its a small place and don't expect fancy, remember its a taqueria

I get tacos here every Thursday almost every other week. The service is great and quick. The tacos are about the size of my palm but they're soooo good. This place is underrated and the food is fairly priced and delicious. I will come and eat here as long as the business is still standing

I come here every other day. The street tacos are always loaded with tons of meat and the salsa rojo hits just right. Burritos, quesabirria, mulitas, chilaquiles, everything is great; these guys don't miss. Food comes out fast af too. Easy five stars from me.

Bomb af tacos . Searched up tacos near me and this hidden gem came up Came here on my lunch break! Y'all should use today's social media platforms to promote more. Worth the money !

Nope, last time . Tell me how you would feel eating tacos like this. Apart from tasting like yesterdays left over meat dry and hard with extra oil, and can't forget what looks like maggots maybe rice by why would you sever me 20 tacos like this ..nope not my favorite place any more .. every tacos was full and ended up in the trash .. #healthdepartment
