The tacos were delicious (asada and pastor were awesome!) and the beans and rice really tasty (like... tasty enough we fought over it). I got takeout and they packed us plenty of lime and cucumbers. I was so busy eating, that I realized I had forgotten to take a photo of the tacos before I devoured them.Loved the food (I regret not getting more!) and will be back for more!

Sadly the owner retired and sold the business. The restaurant is now called Taqueria Los Rhodas and is still in its infancy. We got a couple of quesadillas and my kids enjoyed them. The owner was there and said he's going to expand the meat selection next week. I'm hoping to see my old Los Coyotes favorites (tripa, cabeza, suadero, etc.). Our first experience with the new owner was favorable. I say give them a try..!

Walked in and we were welcomed immediately by a lady and her little boy. I'm guessing this place is family owned. She was very nice and explained the menu. We ordered tacos for $2 each. While we were waiting for our order the little boy came up to my bf and I and offered us 2 tostadas with beans and cotija cheese sprinkled on top. Delicious! And how sweet of him. "Here's some tostadas while you guys wait."That got me lol When our food was ready he walked it to our table and was soooo polite. For a boy who's 13-15 that's just so rare to see. I loved loved looooved the service Oh yeah and the tacos were pretty good too :P

My mom always said if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all. Unfortunately I have to... My first time there, I walked in I get a dirty look from the girl working cashier and taking my order. I asked is there a menu she said no so I looked up at the menu board no prices just the few items offered but still a confusing menu board. I ended up getting 2 asada tacos and rice (didn't have a clue the price,I asked the girl who was not friendly. I paid with my debit card "It's 1.00 more to use debit card" okay, no problem... I didn't get a receipt...didn't ask for one, my fault? Got my food and left. Got home check pending amount to see what I was charged. $8.50...2 really tiny tacos, 2tiny scoops of rice. Looked good unfortunately it was tasteless :/ Ate some, stuck the rest in the fridge ended up eating my sweet potato I had in the fridge with brown sugar and whipped cream :) happy at last!PS. The menu pictures on here is 10years old, says asada tacos are 1.50 each!? Ummm not what I paid!

I've been here several times now and have not been disappointed. They have really good, fresh spring ceviche and the flautas are delicious. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It is a family owned restaurant that you can tell they put their heart into their food and it shows! Can't wait to go back!

My parents & aunt from SD visited me, & my Filipino family were in a good mood for some Mexican cuisine. Since I decided to give a rarely Yelped restaurant a try, this was where we headed to. I'll have to admit; yea it's in Hawaiian Gardens, but as much as I hate using this adjective, the plaza, at least, looked pretty pretentious.Yep, I saw disorganized plastic utensils (some w/ a few specks =/), a carelessly maintained (but not grossly) salsa bar, B grade, & no accessible napkins!? I was apprehensive bringing my family here *___*, but hey: we're here solely on the food! And this was what we ordered: Asada Burrito ($6...& the menu listed $4.75--oh well, I didn't pay for this =P), [Pollo] Taquitos Dorados ($4.75), side of Spanish Rice ($1), & my Asada Taco & Lengua Taco ($1.50 each).I'll start w/ my food: I did like how I got both tacos not drenched in oil. Sadly, the Asada alone tasted pretty vapid, & thus I heavily depended on the salsas. Fortunately, the Lengua was quite buttery in the tongue (no pun intended). Still, in terms of flavor, the Lengua didn't hit the spot, i.e., it can't beat the one in Taco Boy. Moreover, the darkly red salsa was surprisingly not jalapeno-leveled spicy--heh, I assumed it would be, compared to its lightly colored, meek "cousin"--but at least it gave effort eventually leaving a little tingle on my lips. And my mom left me one taquito, & not only the chicken tasted way too safe, but I disliked how it's crisp in the middle but close-to-burnt crunchy on the edges, along w/ overcooked chicken tips--to me that's a turn-off w/ taquitos. My dad's burrito was shockingly smaller than how much it's worth; but my dad didn't really care if it tasted outstanding or not =/. And I wished I sampled the Spanish Rice before my aunt totally adulterated the side w/ a packet of salt--not kidding..Without the extremely nice service, especially when the lady genuinely apologized for mistakenly writing the order of 3 burritos instead of 1 that she gladly refunded us cash--thank God my dad paid our lunch w/ the greens--I could've bashed this eatery 2 stars. Ooh, & one more reason I give this place 3: so far, I've indulged the best $2 Venti-sized, scratch-made Horchata EVER: perfect milk-water ratio, right amount of ice & coldness, & exquisitely fine hint of cinnamon. Ahh, que rica =).

i love the fact that it's a family owned and operated business. dad runs the grill while daughter is at the cash register and helps out in the back. mom is usually in the office or helping in the back as well.Unfortunately, the owner retired and the new business that followed appears to be closed...
