Tijuana tacos!!!! Lately my biggest craving is charred asada tacos. Having fallen in love with charred tacos from Sonoratown, the hubs and I have been on a mission to hunt down all the charred tacos in the area.And boy, Poblano does not disappoint. Way Way deep into Compton but so delicious.The price point is less than Sonoratown and the amount of meat is stacked!!!The tortillas are made fresh. The asada has such a nice charcoal flavor.Cons:Salsa is super spicy, kindve suicidal. Tacos are wrapped in paper, I can see why people complain about having paper in their food.The two Compton locations are pretty close to each other, and though a bit more rugged, the Compton Ave location cooks outside in grills (which I think gives more flavor than the restaurant location on Rosecran).

Food is good. Good style tacos.The manager or cook has a bad attitude all the time. He seems bothered when you ask for salsa or lemons. Dude looks like he hates his job.Overall I say a 2/5. If the cook wasnt in such a bad mood I would give it a 5.

Excellent and fresh ingredients- amazing HAND MADE tortillas. And a fridge with dessert options.

So I read the reviews , looked at the photos and I decided today I'd try it out. It's Tuesday and they had a taco special. Well I wasn't too impressed. Meat was cut way too big and it was too hard to chew! Salsa is boring! Way too watery and No flavor no spice! Someone also complained about them getting upset about asking for extra salsa. Yes the manager didn't like me asking for extra (boring) salsa. My daughter's torta didn't have avocado either.outdoor seating is not good for a day like today. Way too cold to eat outside. So no I'm not impressed! Not cheap either .

Love these tacosHandmade tortillas and that carne asada grilled on the spot, not to mention that hot sauce is fire. Good portions and good prices

For anyone who is craving carne asada tacos from Tijuana but refuse to do the drive down south, this is the place to get your fix at. I had the quesadilla de asada with hand made corn tortilla and it was delicious. The food taste so good here, we also tried the tacos de pastor and tacos de asada which were good. It's in the middle of Compton, I don't recommend eating since it's more of a pick up spot with a few tables outside. The service upon entering is welcoming and very nice staff.

Order this on Uber eats and was extremely pissed ! I ordered 4 goat tacos with everything and salsa on the side and then 3 asada tacos plain for my autistic son. When opening our food none of the directions was followed the Asada tacos had hot salsa my son couldn't even eat the tacos even after I tried to pick through it. My goat tacos had salsa on them when I asked for it to be on the side and even checked the boxes for all of this. Waste of money and couldn't enjoy the food !Top it off Uber won't give me a refund of $30.78

This was a very good taco. BUT - it was pretty spicy. Too hot for me. I got a taco el carbon. I'll have to try other ones to see if there are any less spicy. Hey, what can I say? I'm a gringa.

Need to go to TJ without taking the 2 hour drive? Save yourself the time and gas! No need to go far when you have tacos el poblano bringing you a piece of Tijuana right here in Compton. This place is without a doubt hyped up, and for a good reason. The mulitas de adobada are just what you need. The tacos are so generously topped with Aguacate, not avocado aguacate!!! If you know you know, the service is superb very humble employees, and so charismatic they be singing having a great time!. All that equals to great food the ambiance may not be fit to most liking, and the setting may not be the best. But you forget all the bs when you take the first bite! Hope you enjoy this place! And experience at first hand what TJ tacos taste like without crossing the border!
