Tam's Burgers No 9

It's been over seven years since the last time I ate a burger from here and it did not disappoint! These burgers are nice and big still! I waited about eight minutes for my order to be ready. Very loud inside, customers talking amongst themselves. Tables could be cleaner, thankfully I didn't eat there. I took it to go.. this location does have a drive-through and outdoor eating area. Not sure if my burger was supposed to have pickles, but it didn't. It's been so long. I think maybe they got rid of the pickles in the burger. Fries were seasoned to perfection. I also ordered a side of ranch, which was very minimally priced.

My usual place was closed it was 10:00pm in Lynwood and I was hungry so I went to Tams I'm usually loyal to the places I eat at but I was hungry and my other hamburger place was closed I wanted cheese enchiladas but Tams don't have that so I got the carne asada plate with comes with 5 corn tortillas and a separate container of a chef's salad this was a good amount of food for 16.00 dollars. It tasted good I would buy it again.

Definitely not the Tam's they used to be. I think some recipes were Lost over time. I ordered chili fries topped with Pastrami and grilled onions (don't knock it until you try it -areCorrectly) and this just wasn't it. I took 3 bites and threw the rest in the trash. I actually pulled over to do that. I will say they gave a a lot of fries ...just wasn't it.

Ahhhhhhhh memories of El Monte. Well not really El Monte, but Compton / Lynwood as I grew up in the hood. Willowbrook/Stockwell area. Tams was the spot for late night lunches after partying. Or anytime you felt the munchies or cravings for a big burger, chilli cheese fries, pancakes or what have you. My go to was always grilled chicken salad. On the way back home on the 105 today so had to stop by and pick one up for lunch. Still good ad always. The price is about more than double now. I just paid $13.75!!! For a grilled chicken salad. In the late 90's they used to be $5.99!!! But I guess what hadn't got e up in price? Almost nothing. But L to the A how is it!?!? Nun num nun still as great as I remember it was in the 90's. Recommended. But not a nice area to be around for those that are faint to little things in the hood. LOL!!!

Tam's is my favorite restaurant in California. I have been enjoying this food for the past 34 years! When I fly from Miami which is my new home this is my first stop. Service is 10/10 quick service and happy smiles every time. The ambiance is great for a fast food restaurant!

Fries are not the same like before. They used to be crispy but not undercooked or overcooked. Now fries are cold or re-fried and if you ask for freshly done fries they will re-fried your fries. Refried fries are the worst. I'm done with this place. Don't waste your money. I will highly recommend Fantastic Grill, fries are always freshly cooked with seasoning salt and the cheeseburgers are more tasty! 16900 Lakewood BlvdUnit 201Bellflower, CA 90706United States

Pull up to the window, didn't get greeted just a "what do you want?" I ordered my fries and asked if I ask for "sauces" here or up front in the window the lady kept repeating "sausages" so I repeated to her "sauces" obviously she wasn't understanding me so I tell her "I'll just pull over to the window" and she says "no you have to order here" she was very rude from the beginning. I pull up to the window and she says " it's $7" I give her my card and ask her "you charged me for the thousand island and ranch right?" I then say it again louder and she still doesn't respond to me? I only asked because I didn't want to get charged again...I hope she has the night she deserves and finds a better job since her job now has her very miserable. Obviously customer service isn't her specialty.

I had to update my previous post about this Tam's location. I'm a Lynwood Native, and I can say that this place has gone to crap. The quality of the food has declined. It seems like they're using lower-quality meat or something. The prices have gone up, which is understandable due to everything going up. I guess I'm not the only one who has noticed the change at this location because every time I drive by, the lines are always short. I remember when the lines would wrap around Virginia Street. Come on, Tam's, you guys have to do better.

The website, Google and everything about this place says they take Ebt foodBut when I arrive, they said they don't take Ebt food. I'm not sure what the problem is but it makes it really inconvenient.
