Tal's Cafe

Tal's Cafe is now under new management, and they are working hard to ensure the quality of the food reflects a return to the restaurant's glory days in the 1980s when I first discovered it. Unfortunately, the food is a hit and miss. A few weeks ago the food was good. However, today the burger patty was burnt, and the wings were fried in old grease that caused my relative to have diarrhea. Parking can be a challenge, especially on street-sweeping days. I would also suggest that they encourage customers not to linger outside the restaurant to smoke weed.

This hidden gem is a amazing! I love the service, hot fresh food, it's seasoned to perfection! The customer service is warm and great! The inside is homely and clean. I'm so glad I gave this place another chance.

I just had breakfast here. We usually order for pick-up. The food is made from scratch, and you can really taste the difference. The waffles & pancakes are delicious, and the eggs are yummy. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere has a relaxed, chill vibe. Highly Recommend!

Haven't been here in over a decade but we heard they had Black owners now (Koreans made their money and scrammed), so today was our day! Unique was our server and she was a class act. Food took a minute to come out but we were in no hurry. It's worth the wait, right? Well....the good news is the salmon croquettes were very good. The scrambled eggs were what you would expect. Hard to mess those up. The meat and the pancakes made us lose faith though. You have to read Nikia's review on here about that. She nailed it. They need to up their game on breakfast sausage and LOSE THE ORANGE PANCAKES.

The food was amazing!!!! This will be my new breakfast spot. I called my order in, the service was fast and ready when I arrived.

Damn that was good! My first time here and I had : porkchops, grits, scrambled eggs with cheese and English muffins . Big sized servings for a man with a big appetite. The porkchops were so good that you could eat them straight out the pan without adding any additional condiments..... but I did dribble a little Red Rooster hot sauce( a tradition with me) . The eggs with cheese were perfectly scrambled. Fanfriggintastic' breakfast. Next time I'll try either the fried catfish or snapper. One more thing: patrons rave about the hotcakes here...and by the looks of them I see why.

Great food , prices have changed significantly though however it's blacked owned , it's friendly and food is fresh .

If you're looking for good ol home cooking, then look no further than Tals. It's been a neighborhood staple for years and is still going strong. Food is just like your grandma use to make. It's authentic, seasoned well and delicious, with excellent prices. Breakfast on a budget lol. It's a small place located on the corner right of 3rd ave and Florence in Los Angeles. There's plenty of street parking. No reservations taken as it is a first come, first serve basis. The place is small with diner like bar seating and table seating inside only. The service is good and the food is delicious. There may be a wait depending on the time of day you go. The food may take longer than expected to come out because it's cooked to order so it's hot and fresh. A must try if you haven't already.

...jus 2 let u knopleaz bring back the pancakes that ur famously known for...dem orange lookn (secret recipe ) arenot itlet dem remain a secret somewhere else.. don't allow new ‍chefs change what ur famous for...real talk bring back original pancake...pleaz we good on everything else including servers 4stars only not 5*bcuz over saturated orange...

Waitress was really nice. Service is really slow though. Took an hour for food to come out. Food was okay. I understand everything is made from scratch and is fresh but how long does it take to make some eggs and hash browns. I know places are busy but still crazy that it can take an hour.
