Tacos Guadalajara

I've been here a few times and every time the food is mediocre. I only come because it's drive thru Mexican and it is open late. Today was the last straw will not be coming here ever again. Bit into my very fatty taco, spent close to $50 on two taco plates and 4 taquitos and my taco had a ROCK! Hurt my tooth possibly chipped it! Outrageous can't believe this happened!

This is one of the closest taco places near where I live, and I found out about it when I moved to north Long Beach a couple years ago. It's where my daughter's dad would bring tacos from all the time. Mostly asada, which is usually overly salty in my opinion. Overall, I've had mixed experiences with tacos from this place; sometimes the tacos are great, other times they're way too salty or sometimes they mess up and add salsa when I asked for them without and that red salsa is HOT. Like fiery hot. I only add a couple drops to my tacos if I'm craving it. Otherwise I'm using the green sauce. Also, one time I went through the drive-thru on a Wednesday and the guy charged me full price for tacos. I then pointed out the add on the building for their special price for tacos on Wednesday, he then adjusted the price. I thought that was pretty sketchy. Today however, I had a pretty good experience in the drive-thru. Beside the fact that I could not understand anything being repeated back to me on the speaker, the woman at the window was polite to me when I told her the speaker had too much static and she gladly repeated back to me what I'd ordered. And my order was correct when I got home. I was slightly surprised when my total was $21.50 for 10 tacos, but maybe that's average price now for tacos. Anyway, my asada and carnitas tacos were good. I don't know how I've never ordered the carnitas before but they were pretty darn good today and I'd order them again. The lemons were fresh and juicy today too. I liked that they used the yellow lemon wedges. Great flavor overall, but yeah, the asada was still a tad bit salty for me.

Bad service .. food took 30 mins to get here ... they served my husbands menudo in a styrofoam cup ‍ mainly bones .. no flavor .. burritos sauce tasted old and thick ‍ they had a nonchalant attitude towards customers .. over priced .. never again .

Giving a solid 5 and a bit of background. I've been eating Guadalajara for years now, and I don't know if they had a falling out with a cook or something but there was a stretch where the food was BAD!! Like embarrassingly bad where I'd order food telling all who'd hear me about the amazing Lengua they had and get told it was the worst experience they ever had and that I had bad taste. Nah, it wasn't me, someone was there trying to sabotage the place for sure. Messing up Door dash orders, cancelling them, putting too much salt in food etc. it all felt intentional. Well I've ordered food from them twice now after a year long hiatus due to bad experiences and THEY ARE BACK!! I can proudly say that someone there really cares about what they are doing and the food is better than before! I was fully prepared to write this place off for good but they are back in a special place in my heart and arteries. I hope your experiences are like mine and you get to enjoy some good food!

This place is actually really good. Look, listen, I see the crazy amount of bad reviews and I totally agree with the comments about the bad customer service (cashiers) but that can be addressed and improve. The food is actually really good! When I first tried this place, coincidentally, I noticed one of the cooks was one of my old coworkers from when I worked at a restaurant years ago. This man is AWESOME. The second I saw him I knew the food was going to be a 10/10. He's literally the best. I had a wet burrito and my mom had menudo and these 2 items were 100% the best I've had anywhere. Everyone knows I'm super picky with food and especially MEXICAN FOOD. I haven't tried all menu items here but based off these 2 things I knew it would be worth coming again and trying other things. I've never had such good menudo and Latinos know that you can't mess around and get menudo from just anywhere. It has to be cleaned correctly or you'll taste it sort of gamey. This was the best wet burrito I've ever had, the salsa verde on top was BOMB and it was huge, meat was tender (I got lengua) and I enjoyed it and told all my friends and coworkers about this place cause good Mexican food is hard to find in Long Beach. Parking is not difficult and they have a drive thru so this little spot is really awesome. I really hope you give this spot a try, I promise the food is delicious but I can not promise you good customer service lol. Wait, the agua frescas are SO GOOD too! Both the horchata and Jamaica are too good, I can't pick which one I like most and I'm extremely ridiculously picky with horchata haha.

Sad to see that this place gets so much negative reviews. The prices are a bit more than expected but the food is delicious and great every single time I get it that I do not mind spending extra money here. I love the consistency when it comes to food quality and how long it takes to get my order. 10/10 would recommend 1st timers to come and try it for themselves. Will always get my tacos de lengua and burritos from here.

Love this place not sure what it is but I love their tacos, burritos and enchiladas. Whenever I am nearby I try to stop by and it never disappoints.

The only reason I gave 1 star was because the Carne Asada taco was pretty decent. My two chicken tacos tasted like the meat sat out all day. The green sauce was ok I've had waaaay better. The service was horrible they took soooo long for my three tacos that I ordered. The lady at the window should not be working there. She was rude no hi or anything. She took my card and slammed the window shut. I watched her and the cook take their precious time and converse and point at the lettuce on the floor while patrons waited. I had to rush to my next job and hadn't eaten otherwise I would've cancelled my order. She stuffed my order in my hand and quickly turned away. Very unprofessional. I will pack my lunch next time. I won't be spending my hard earned on money here if I can help it. PLEASE GO ELSE WHERE!

Food, service, & hours! Perfect spot to go to when you're looking for a QUICK authentic taco fix or craving those LATE NIGHT tacos but everywhere else is closed! Fear not, they're open! Guess what else... they even have a drive thru!
