Where do i start? I had high expectations for this place seeing as there are several locations in the area that are also tacos, El Goloso, except it's a pick up. I was expecting the Cantina to also be like the pick up places, but I was completely mistaken. My mom and I decided to come here and give it a shot because they had margaritas . The menu is super light with hardly any selections. She tried to order two things on the menu and she was told that those things were not available and that they had only been open three weeks . She asked if she could only have certain items deconstructed, and on a plate and she was told no that they had to stick to the menu . There was literally no one in the restaurant, but it took over 30 minutes to get the food out . The drinks are strong and that might be the only plus in this case . In my case, I ordered a pineapple margarita and all I tasted was a tequila. Yuck! We literally ordered two drinks , 2 entrées and some guacamole and it ended up being 100 bucks . For this price I could have gone to the upscale Mexican place down the pier, and then completely satisfied.I ordered three taco Birria and was completely disappointed like it hardly had any meat and I was still hungry at the end. See the pics for yourself. We will definitely not be coming back here because there are better choices on Hermosa pier lolI'm 100% convinced the positive reviews are from people that work there . There's no way these positive reviews came from the same place that I went to.

I don't think I'll be cooking for a while. This is so yummy! Everything I've tried are great from the Ahi Poke Nachos to their drinks. I love the 1st 2 Tacos El Goloso, but this 3rd one they opened on Hermosa south of 14th St is the best I have to check them out later for their MNF Happy Hour from 2-6 pm. Happy Hour is Monday - Friday.The prices are unbeatable for the quality of food and drinks. The service is phenomenal. Location is so convenient for a local like me in Hermosa Beach. I could just walk instead of driving and finding parking. Although parking shouldn't be bad. It's still close to the parking structure and parking meters are around.

This is my first time here It's a new place good Mexican food fresh chips and salsa. isaac makes the best drinks. everything is fresh.

Came here for happy hour and it was delish! I got the birria, steak and chicken tacos. The birria was my favorite!! We also asked for salsa for the tacos which was a good green sauce that wasn't spicy. They serve homemade chips and a red and green salsa with the table. The chips were so good and definitely homemade. The staff was super friendly and nice. The restaurant is huge! Would be a good spot to pregame or have a party! Will definitely be coming back. Can't wait to try their margs! Happy hour is mon-fri 4-7pm!! They do have a covered patio so you can bring your fur baby. The chairs at the restaurant were very comfortable! Lots of tvs with sports games on! Large bar area as well.

Stepped into this attractive location, enjoyed the Poke bowl although I'm already familiar with their delicious Birria tacos, and Joe bartender do sweet grabbed some chop sticks for me! Great ambiance and service! Great selection of top shelf non-additive tequilas too!

We've been here 3 times since they opened a few months ago. Taco Tuesday specials too. The food is delicious, everything we've tried - seafood tacos, birria tacos, tacos de papas , and even chicken nachos did not disappoint. Chips and guac are also great. This location is much larger than the other casual Tacos El Galoso locations. There is a patio that looks out onto Hermosa Ave and the inside has multiple big screens and a large bar. Great place to watch soccer games. It does have loud music, so a bit of a club vibe. The servers are friendly and good came quickly. Could be a fun place for a birthday get together. Will definitely return regularly!!

All day Tuesday happy hour is becoming my weekly thing. Ceviche tostadas for the win!

Food is really good. Comment to the owner/manager: You should have more than one server on weekends. It was pretty full on Sunday and only one poor server trying her best to keep up. I've seen that location turnover many times over the last few years and bad service due to poor management is a sure fired way to lose customers and go out of business.

Love the food BUT you've got to work on the lighting inside. The bar area is way too bright. Should be Moody sitting at the bar. And that one of obnoxious traffic light is blinding.You could totally make this far a hang out if you had better lighting maybe even some candles on the bar. Also, I would turn the music down just a little bit. Hermosa needs a good hangout bar like this work on the ambience and I bet it could be a huge success.
