Tacos El Gallito

Honestly there was a time when this was the "Go-to" spot; recently they really let me down... What I want to know is how could you possibly F*** up an Asada Quesadilla? Well they managed to do that. Cheese is not melted and cold in the thicker regions. This establishment is less than 5min away from home and the asada is hot, but not the cheese. Thanks for confirming you can f*** up a quesadilla. Horchata is usually good, this time tasted powdery too nasty to drink....I ordered food for 7 people and I asked for 6 little containers of each sauce and they gave me 4 of one and two of the other... I asked nicely again for 6 of each and the worker jumped to see my receipt to see it it was true that I ordered a lot. Stingy much? I ordered tacos and they did not throw in onion or cilantro at all. It would be much easier if they put all the stuff back out for everyone to grab how they used to have it. It would be easier on your workers and customers. You really let me down tonight. I won't ever return here.

I've been coming here for MANY years. The food is actually really good and since then, this place has expanded in many ways. Space and food trucks. That could only mean that this place is doing very well.The food. Again, I've never been disappointed with the food. The tacos are good, the burritos etcToday I went and ordered a burrito for work and 4 tacos. 2 de asada and 2 de al pastor. Delicious! My gripe... NO GREEN SALSA OR RED! WTH?! How do you run an establishment without these very important condiments?! Someone should be castrated over this. A protest on Vermont. Anything!2nd gripe... There needs to be a much better method of ordering and picking up your food to make the transition better. What do I mean specifically? OK, you place your order and pick up your food on the other end. Ask for the items you need but you need to walk BACK to the cashier just to ask for certain items, like your drink. That means getting back in a long line or cutting in just to get it. It's horrible.

Things could be better not everything is made on-site tacos are subpar at best with so much competition at every corner what they putout is just food nothing more and less ,do yourself a favor pass this place up .There is much better out there . For the same cost

I don't know what happened. This spot used to be the spot to go after hours. This is the last time I'll ever come here. I ordered 4 tacos and a horchata, the cashier asked if I wanted everything on it. At most tacos places- "everything on it" means onion and cilantro. So I say yes please. The cashier rings me up and gives me my cup for my horchata. The cost ran up to be $26ish dollars. I was surprised of the cost but I didn't question it. Until! I got my tacos. When I looked into my box so I can add the salsa and condiments. I see white stuff on my tacos and avocados. So then i asked the cook- what did I order? Why do I have mayo on my tacos? He said that's not mayo its sour cream. He said that's what I ordered. 4 tacos with avocado, and sour cream. So I asked who orders tacos like that? I was so confused. I didn't think "everything on it" meant literally everything on it. Weird thing is- it didn't really have everything on it except meat sour cream, and avocado. So I don't see how that could've been miscommunicated. Anyway! I took the tacos anyway and asked if I could get grilled jalapeños and onions, at first he said he didn't have any but the other cook gave me some anyway. I'm not sure if they were closing but they didn't have anything out so I had to keep asking for things. The end, I just won't come here again. Would rather save my money and go elsewhere than get tacos "with everything on it" whatever that means. I'm not mad at it cause it made me laugh for a good week- but I didn't really get to enjoy my late night tacos.

This place is great but can be hit or miss when it comes to the quality of their asada fries. I was tempted to give them 3 stars but am not interested in taking down a business with a nasty review. I am writing this so future customers are aware that no 2 asada fry orders are the same ranging from absolutely awesome to downright awful. I hope the company makes sure they hire quality line cooks. They are a staple in the South Bay and I want to continue being a regular customer but not if I'm going to receive poor quality food

We went to their food truck parked outside of harbor UCLA hospital... we ordered 2 burritos, 1 quesadilla and 1 torta and it was $48!!!! The employee cut the receipt so we could only see total and not itemized receipt.. she was trying to be cleaver when seeing the look on our face.... we then asked for itemized.... they charged $3 for lettuce, $3 for cheese, $3 for tomato, $3 for avocado! The list goes on.....Crazy hidden fees that she did not disclose and tried to hide wtf!

Foods normally great, but this isn't the first time we get our avocado this way. It's kind of a bummer.

I ordered late night so that maybe have affected how good the food was. All my items felt overpriced. The burrito had the wrong type of meat. I ordered multiple dishes to get a good sampling and was outstandingly disappointed. Nearly 50$ for tacos, burritos etc that were worse than frozen entree versions. I'm not sure what happened in the past 5-10 years but there is a steep decline in quality and they didn't include all the sauces etc I ordered. Half of the food was also inedible because it was burned and or overcooked. I was so disappointed after not going here for awhile I expected good things because they have an actual restaurant. What a disappointment, I'll never order from here again and I advise anyone that doesn't go to them in person not too order either. The delivery experience is atrocious.

If I could give negative stars I would!!! This place was excellent when they first opened and were not so known- food was delicious, prices were reasonable and service was excellent. Now that they have expanded and have all the business because of the hype the quality is terrible to say the least. I was so disappointed- Asada was bland and seemed to be old and very "chewy", salsa bar was a mess and drink area was also very messy and dirty. Also how did I spend $80+ on street tacos? So not reasonable for what was served to me. Completely unsatisfied and really disappointed-

I ordered a burrito de asada not a bean and rice burrito . Never coming here again . I came in today and a I waited in line for a couple of minutes because the cashier was on tik tok on her phone i ordered a burrito de asada had no meat at all . Never again coming her rather go to Leo's by the gas station .
