Great little find. Thought the place found us with all the bright lights. Great service, staff spent time guiding us in the selection of some treats for friends and ourselves. We got to try several samples as well.

When we walked in, there was a line to order. It goes by pretty quickly. And the place can get crowded fast! However, there are tables outside too. The dahi sev puri was so delicious and flavorful! I wish I ordered another round of it. Masala dosa was pretty standard, good nonetheless. The Surati taco was interesting. I ate it all bc I was hungry lol but it was a bit too sweet. I wouldn't order this again. Mango lassi supreme was yum.

Been planning for months to meet a friend in Artesia and have pani puri. As it was my first time ever having pani puri my friend suggested Surati Farsan as the best place to get pani puri and other Punjabi goodies. It's her favorite place to get pani puri and she has been coming here since moving to California from India. We arrived right when they opened so it was pretty quiet. But it quickly filled up with customers. The first thing I noticed upon entering was all the Indian sweets and lots of ornate boxes stacked up. Then the salty snacks were neatly stored and so colorful. My friend ordered 2 types of pani puri, a drier version that had crispy thin noodle-like topping and one that you put your own "water" (tamarind and mint water). While both are delicious I really loved the one you put the "water" in yourself. It was like an explosion of flavor and textures. Sweet, salty, sour, crunchy, and satisfying. We also had a lentil soup with mint potato patties. While it looks simple, the flavors were like a warm hug and slightly spicy, in a good way. The icing on top was the amazing rose drink with ice cream. My friend said it was to balance the spicy meal and help with digestion. Before leaving I ordered pani puri, lentil soup for home, and a box of sweets. I was so very full but was going to make the most of my trip to Artesia. Let me just say, my food was packed beautifully and all set for the week. Service is good and efficient. They have lots of workers at the counter and it's gets busy shortly after opening. Parking is plentiful on the street (meters), public parking lot off Pioneer (meters), and a few free spots behind the grocery stores. So happy my friend took the time to share her culture and food with me. LOCATION: 4/5FOOD: 4/5SERVICE: 4/5VALUE: 4/5AMBIANCE: 4/5PET FRIENDLY: outside tablesCLEANLINESS: 3/5PARKING: 4/5

The premiere spot for everyday Indian food! My BF is from Mumbai and took me here to try foods eaten on a typical day (rather than the rich Mughal food for special occasions). When you first walk in, it feels like you're at a specialty deli/ready made store. The smell is indescribable; sweet and spicy at the same time. I had a hankering for cheese so I got cheese samosas and the quesadilla. The cheese samosa is out of this world good! Melty cheese and crispy Samosa bread meet the zesty cilantro chutney. I could eat that everyday and be happy. The quesadilla was also melty good and the veggies were fresh. My BFs dish was bomb as well. He had this sort of vegetable curry with bread. I preferred the mango lassi over the rose. But they were both good. The service was concise but friendly. This place has solidified my love for Indian food. 10/10 recommend!

Surati Farsan used to be the premier spot for delicious, casual, Gujarati snack foods. My family and I used to drive up from San Diego just to dine here since the SD location shut down. On our most recent visit (after many years) we came by on a Saturday and were excited to see the restaurant packed hoping this meant the food would be as delicious as we remembered. We ordered some of our favorite items such as the Mysore Masala Dosa, Bhel, and Chole Puri. We were horrified when our food came out because of the very noticeable decline in quality. Absolutely nothing tasted as it used to and the coconut chutney accompanying the Mysore Masala Dosa had gone sour. We were so sad to drive all the way out and have essentially been served rotten food. I hope this establishment works to better their quality and treat their customers better, serving food that has gone bad is never acceptable.

I went with a friend recently. They found the place, drove us there, and did all the ordering. They chose so well. We each had a mango lassi. In addition, we got an order of the Dahi Sev Puri, Chole Samosa, and Masala Dosa. The Puri were definitely the highlight but everything we got was delicious. It was a little tricky to get a table because it was crowded. But we arrived just as some others were finishing up so we took over for them. And we had great timing because the line was out the door when we left. Worth the drive and I would come back for sure.

The service, staff, food quality, location, pricing were all great. Came with a few friends that frequent this location, so they helped choose what we ordered. Masala dosa- my favorite item. The crunchy outside with flavorful potato inside, so yum! Pain puri- crunchy, sweet, spicy.Thali - very good, with so many bites of flavor and spices, perfect with the rotis. All the yummy desserts and sweets, are delicious! This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back.

The bhel was really good, but the puff.... not so much. At first we didn't have our pager so we got it very late. It had been sitting around so it was cold. I asked one guy to warm it up a bit since it was cold like it had been sitting in the fridge for a couple of minutes. When I got it back, I touched it and one part was hot. But on further inspection, the other side was ice cold still. Not only that, but it was $5 for one puff.Definitely not coming here for the puffs again, if at all. The other stuff is pretty good though.

DONOT ORDERS PUFFS AT SURTI.... I had recently ordered the potato onion puff. it was a new item and I was disgusted by its taste.iIt was clearly too new to be released on the menu. As it was stone cold. Then when I asked for it to be warmed up a bit since it was a little inedible at its current plight, it came back to me stone cold again. So overall, very disappointed with the puffs.
