Sue's Kitchen

So much has changed to Torrance but glad to see Sue's Kitchen lives on -- it's one of the few restaurants that I used to go to as a kid that's still around. (They used to feed be during my college years too.) Anyway, I came here late Christmas evening and had amazing food and service. My kid loved it! Thank you for continuing to be amazing

Just as a heads up, you eat here for cheap, good Asian food. This is not the place for a nice, renovated, nor as clean of a place to hang out nor for stellar customer service.What you expect is cheap, great Asian food that's in the Torrance area. Also the chef barely speaks English so it'd be helpful if someone knows how to speak mandarin or barely get by.Amazing food, I love beef noodle soup & I got that tonight! I also ordered the green onion pancake & that was super yummy too.I will definitely come back, and brush up on some light Mandarin to order.

Over salted on from beef noodle soup to all the side dishes. Horrible. What and why? The only guess it's preservatives to keep food from spoiling.

Authentic Chinese food. Always hits the spot! Service is fast and friendly. Ambience is pleasant and relaxing.

I wanted so much to like this place. The pictures looked good and the prices looked good too. There were some bad reviews. I was very impressed when I opened the Styrofoam container. The food looked like a nice presentation. When I called in my order they were able to, take the order, barely, but that's not a problem. The chicken looks crispy on the picture and is certainly not crispy on the plate. In addition the meat is not free of grizzle or tendon and is not cut so that it cooks evenly some parts with some parts were super thick. Unfortunately, the thick part was very uncooked. Hopefully I don't have any issues. The taste was fine. Spices were fine side condiments were good. The rice was good. A couple running. The place seemed very nice and friendly. I will give it one more. Try if you speak Chinese, please tell these people That they can be very successful if they cook the food completely and make the fried foods crispy. The skin on the chicken was very rubbery because it just was not cooked enough. I will give it one more. Try someone someone please speak to them if I could, I would because I love to see people succeed.

Same great quality food! Out of side dishes at 7PM tho, sadly. They close at 8PM now. Came to pick up a to go order. Their best item is the beef tendon noodle soup!!

Zero stars, don't go! BUGS in food! (apologize in advance for the gross pictures and graphical description)We used to like this place a lot, it's the hole in the wall with the best noodles around. Food has always been tasty and service has always been lousy and getting even worse.In our last few visits, we have been very uncomfortable with the sticky table, it's just not very pleasant. Last night, we ate there and bought some rice noodles to go, since everything is light colored, black spots are much more noticeable, especially with the lighting at home, it turned out there were MANY bugs on the vegetables! Very very gross. We are not sure how much extra proteins we had from last night's dinner!We are never going back again!

This place should rename themselves Bland AF Restaurant! ... What happened to this place??! Sadness, this use to be my favorite beef noodle place spot for over 2 decades! Now everything we ordered taste so bland. I felt like drinking hot greasy spicy hot water as their used to be so flavorful soup. After a few owner changed, very disappointed and sorry to say won't be back. I've never eaten anywhere where I feel like money was completely down the drain. Well today I Just spent $50 down the drain. I rather eat McDonald's or Jack in the Crack. Everything is dirty AF too. Nothing is ever wiped down. The doors, the trays, the counter is so gross and filthy grime everywhere.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - unfortunately I feel like their quality has dropped over the years and the soup/sides have become very oily. This used to be our go to place for the last 2 decades but we have frequented it less since it's not always consistent (1) Hot Braised Stew Tendon became a beef and tendon soup rather than just tendon. The noodles and protein was great but the soup was mostly chili oil taste rather than a beef stew flavor. (4) Clear Broth Braised Beef Noodle Soup was good but again, didn't taste much of a beef stew. The beef was tender and soft and the noodles were starting to absorb the flavor of the soup but there was something off about the flavor that didn't feel like a "beef" soup. (66) 2 Meat & 1 Veggie Cold Dish of spicy beef stomach, shredded pork ear, and seaweed. Flavored nicely but all three dishes were really oily and become slighty quesy as we ate through our meal Ambience: 2/5 - while it is a hole in the wall place, there seems to be a lack of upkeep as it feels like the place is becoming more dingy every time we go. While it seems like they wipe the table after each customer, it felt sticky when we sat down. Service: 1/5 - he was very dismissive of us and was annoyed that we didn't know what we wanted the moment we sat down. He was sitting behind the counter watching videos on his phone and you have to walk up to the counter to get anything else Value for price: 4/5 - the price is still reasonable but the quality of the food has gone down
